You know, All my friends say I'm really good at giving advice; And I am. I just can't give myself any that seems to work. Whenever I try to help myself, something wrong happens. I've always given all my time to others, And never to myself. I believe others go before myself, no matter what. But now... I need help.
I can't help but feel as if I want to good in life, I have to get rid of my relations with others. I need to get rid of my friends, And then I can do better in school. But there's a part of me that wants to keep my childness. It wants me to be a kid for now and an adult later, When I'm physically one. But I dissagree. I'm more of an adult than most people, And I'm only 16
I guess, what I'm asking, is... What do I do?

You don't have to give up everything to do good in school. Just make school a priority. Make sure you complete all your homework before you go out and have fun. I'm in the same boat, but it's too late in the semester to do anything about it, this is my last week, except finals week which is this next week.
Just turn off your phone/sign off msn/aim and get homework done then go out and have fun. School is going to take you somewhere in life, not friends.
What grade are you in?

Sadly, academics is what will get you farther in life, so you should try to do well in school. But that's not everything - having a life is important as well.
Right now I'm in first year university with a pretty heavy workload, but I manage to balance schoolwork, volunteer, social life and free time for myself. I think what you need is a schedule, or at least a rough idea as to how you want to manage your time. If you need help, just ask. Having someone helping you out can save you a lot of time, and get you in the right direction. If you have a question regarding your homework or something, just make a post here! This is the guild of knowledge after all. I'm sure everyone will be willing to help.
Good luck!

Thank you both for the advice. By the way, I'm in my Sophmore year of High School. But, I can really only focus on one thing at a time, And I have a really hard time getting on track with work. That's why I started to take medication; Adderall (ADD Pills).
So, it seems to me that my only choice, if I want to suceed in life, Is to let my friendships go. It's going to be hard, But it's all I can do now.

[Xenocidic_Chaos] Nope, sure would be nice, too, Ya' know? Well I don't really see your problem. You don't work, therefore, you just have school and homework. Also, what are you going to do during summer and winter holiday when you're out of school and have no friends?

I don't really do anything Winter or Summer vactions, Other than sit in my room and draw, or wright, or read, or go on the net.
I'm pretty anti-sociall as it is, But I really just pretend not to be. I sometimes wish I weren't so serious, and logical. I wish I could just have fun, But it's just not appealling to me. Fun, hanging-out, shopping, teen stuff.

BTW, I wasn't laughing at you just the fact that we're pretty similiar and I sort of have the same dilemna.

How long have you been in this situation, seeing you said mine is simular to yours. I see mine really hard, Because I'm an Empathetic, And I, reluctantly, tend to get drawn into social situations, And I'm used as a mediator, or advice-giver.

I'm the EXACT same way...but I decided to ignore that feeling. Stay a kid while you're still a kid. Don't grow up to soon, just don't. You have 18 years(if you're in the U.S.) to just have a lot of fun. More if you go to college. Take the time, savor it. Don't waste it. I wasted two years of it, I wish I hadn't. Now, I'm not saying ignore your schooling either, but be happy with just C's or above...I'm totally brilliant, but I can be fine with that, so I talk to my friends and stuff instead of doing homework, because I can still pass and be satisfied. Keep close to your friends; but then again, dobn't be like me and ignore yourself totally and help out everyone else. Put some focus on yourself. And school.

Getting C's puts you below a 3.0 GPA. That's not good.

I set too high of expectations on everything I do, no matter what it is. It always turns out to be crap, and I feel stupid. It's like that every fricken day. I get to school, maybe without the pain in my eyes, And I return home numb. There's got to be something else wrong with me other than Depression, ADD, and Perfectionism. I need some testing.
Or, maybe it's about time to give in.... I'm never sure. Anymore...

Wow....someone almost exactly like me.....Perfectionism, antisocial, etc etc. Honestly, there's probably nothing wrong with you at all. Just some people are this way.
Basically what I did to attempt to overcome this was to get a core group of friends. Basically it happened because I took a chance, but yea...get people that are mature and responsible. Like yourself. Good people that will have your back. That's what really helped me build up my self confidence. I'm no longer depressed or even close to it because I know that I can talk to my friends about anything and they wouldn't tell anyone else. I still have perfectionism, but that's beside the point. Oh, and I've actually become more social, too. Amazing what a couple people around your age do....

Can't say that I'm a percectionist, but this sounds almost exactly like me. I've become sort of a psychiatrist for a lot of my friends, or just a place to turn for advice for others... but I find these days that I can't even seem to solve my own problems. I'm also an antisocial, so it's good to meet others like myself.
