i didn't really like this one; i found it a bit to random
but the artwork was good
you might try suncoast, they have a good anime selection and could probably special order it if they don't have it

I liked it.
As Imbar said it was really random, but it was kind of nice to watch something like that once in a while.

In my opinion Foolly Coolly was one of the few animes I have seen which not only was fun to watch but was visually enthralling, musically excellent, very deeply characterized, and a vision of life which none of us really want to admit.
From the first episode's manga play off to the final heart wrenching scene between Haru Hara Haruko and Naota, the series continued to push the envelope in a way that only Gainax knows how. The characters were all people who somebody could relate to. There was Naota, the boy who wanted to be a man only to realize that no matter how mature you act, your always just a kid. Mamimi who was just trying to get her life under control after her boyfriends (Naota's brother for those who didn't know) break up with her. Haruko's energetic middle finger to the world and key example of how a person should just be themselves, no matter how stupid you look because no matter what, everybody will always be in some way goofy. Amaro as the typical poser who just wants to do his job but when push comes to shove, he works hard for his friends to end up on top. Then there is Kanti, the gentle yet subtly volatile machine which was just trying to get by life. All the characters including some of the side characters, all reflected something human that makes people people.
Then there is the fact that the musical score was brilliant. The suave rock music blends perfectly into the scenes with each rise and fall of the chords and riffs. I think the best example of this would be on the last episodes ending scenes as they play the songs LAST DINOSAUR and I Think I Can during the final fight between Haruko and Naota. LAST DINOSAURS deep lyrics of the end of the world approaching through a childs eyes and how they are rushing like a wild boar to survive for their life plays beautifully as Naota witnesses the crumbling of the world as he knew it and the realization that the woman he loves, even though she was older, was only just using him to get Atomosk, The King of Pirates. Then when they transition from LAST DINOSAUR to I Think I Can as Naota gains the powers of Atomosk the King of Pirates and fights with Haruko, it reveals much about his character as he finally starts to become a man and fights for what he believes in.
To put in short and end this rant, I think FLCL will always hold a place in my heart as a great anime and spectacular manga series. I'm sorry if I sortah went over passionate but I just love the show to death.

I really think that the series doesn't have a meaning. Its all about how it makes you feel. If you think thats what it is the that is what it is yah know?

Naw... I think I could have done better. There was a lot more I wanted to say about it but the words were all wrong. I feel my analysis wasn't true to myself or my heart. But yeah. Its all right.
I can't believe that I'm one of the few here who loves this show that much.
