It is said that there is a power. A power, that if fallen into the right hands would give anyone who wished to use it the ability to rule the world.
A long time ago there was a terrible war that threatened the very existence of all humanity. Two kingdoms were fighting for control of Atlantis. The evil empire of Nalbasta, which is rumored to be ruled by an evil Sorceress, and the good kingdom of Lucrecia. The war lasted for the better part of five hundred years with Nalbasta being victorious. When Nalbasta ventured into the kingdom of Lucrecia, the king was nowhere to be found. The empress of Nalbasta (now the capitol of Atlantis) declared the formor king a traitor, and demanded that if he ever set foot on Atlantis soil, to have him put to death at once.
On the eve of the empress' coronation, a prophet --disguised as a man in black-- appeared in the palace and made a prophocy before Her Highness.
Four children shall come from beyond, and the rightful heir of Atlantis shall be brought fourth.
In a final act of desperation, the evil empress ordered all the children in the kingdom to be put to death.
The former king of Lucrecia had vowed to never allow his people to suffer at the hands of the evil empire. In one last act of defiance, he sealed away his bloodline in his only child thereby ending his own life. He entrusted the child in the care of the prophet, and in doing so--saved his bloodline. The prophet kept the secret in a carefully concealed book signed with the kings seal.

It is an ordinary day for John, Mike, Isabelle, and Christy--that is until they find the book.
Christy works in a local antique bookstore that she had recently inherited from her father. In the store she keeps rare and quite valuable fist editions and such. There have been recent reports in newspapers about vandalism in nearby bookstores. Earlier that day, a couple of weird customers came into the store asking about a book that she had recently obtained in her collection. Not liking their appearance, and being put off by their strange behavior, she lied and said that she didn't have it and they left.
It is here that our tale begins...
