Fans Of "Clana" Raise Money For Charity & Spread Awareness
They've been watching the show from the beginning. They had their good times ("Calling," the first half of "Reckoning") and they've had their bad ("Reckoning" and the resultant break-ups in the episodes that followed.
Now, fans of the Clark & Lana "ship" (relationship) are raising money to donate to various charities as coming from the fans of the couple. They're hoping that these charitable gifts will convince the right people (including The CW) that there is still a very viable fan base for the coupling.
So far, the Save Clana group has raised over $5,300. Yes, you read that correctly. $5,300.
The charities Save Clana are promoting include the charities picked by Kristin that were supported by the Kristin Kreuk Birthday Project; the campaign also is supporting the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation and their "Go Forward" tag campaign.
And if you're not looking to donate, there are other things you can do to show your support.

Welcome! "Save Clana" is a campaign to raise money for several great charities while supporting Clark and Lana of The CW's Smallville. It's a bit different from other campaigns you might have seen, so please take a few moments to see what we're up to.
There are two great ways to help Save Clana, and we hope you'll participate in both. The first is to send letters in support of Clark and Lana to those in charge of Smallville. If you send a letter and let us know, we'll donate money on your behalf -- so for the price of a postage stamp, you'll be personally responsible for a meaningful charitable contribution! Although almost all of the money we're raising is going directly to charity, we're also spending a small fraction on Clana gifts to send to Smallville executives as well as Tom Welling and Kristin Kreuk. So far, we've sent several batches of special-production Clana m&ms, and 12 mondonation.com "i believe in clana" t-shirts benefiting the Red Cross. More gifts are on the way! Save Clana Letters for Charity!

Do you like Clark and Lana? Do you want to raise money for charity for just the cost of a postage stamp?
All you have to do is write a letter or postcard in support of Clark and Lana to Dawn Ostroff, president of The CW. Feel free to write about whatever is most meaningful to you. You might want to explain why you like Clark and Lana, why the current portrayal of Lana as a trophy and a uterus is distasteful, and what you'd like to see in the future.
Once you write the letter, e-mail the text of the letter, or a picture of it, to letters@saveclana.com and I will personally donate $6 to the Kristin Kreuk Birthday Present charities and $6 to our "Clana Fund". In addition, several other generous participants are contributing money for each letter.
After you have written to Dawn, please consider sending a letter or postcard to Al Gough (Executive Producer of Smallville), Paul Levitz (President of DC Comics), or Les Moonves (President of CBS, owner of The CW). We will donate several dollars for each extra letter you send.
