Kiua woke up to the smell of a crisp cool morning, her baby huddled close to her for warmth and her strong handsome mate on her daughters other side. Normally on these cool days Abriana and Chael would be up a long time before her, eager to play in the cold snow of the North.
Inspite of her having had Abriana, she wasn't about to let such a thing as children keep her from going any place. She brought the baby with her and convinced Chael to go North for a little while. Let their daughter play in the snow Chael dreamed of as a child in the temples.
She knew some part of Chael was afraid of what he would find here. His mother, and old memories... But she knew he was pleased to be here, in the cool and chilly place where his ideals and beliefs were at rest. It was a great experiance for Abriana too. The child loved the winter as much as her father while still retaining a similiar love for the sky that she herself had.
She couldn't be more proud of her little family.
((I hope that's okay, they're kind of having a winter vacation type thing at the moment. >.> I hope it's alright.))

The trip here had been a trial on its own for Chael at least, the heat somehow had seen less scorching on his winter pelt then when he made the journey in his younger years. Abriana seemed indifferent, riding on either his or Kiua's back the entire time...yet from the looks of it, Kiua seemed a little uncomfortable; yet he assumed the heat from the eastern plains was something she was used to. Reguardless, they had now been up north in his homelands for three days now....three glorious days of bliss.
As the gentle, yet cool breeze of winter air brushed through his pelt, Chael slowly rused from his sleep; having been much too tired from yesterday's lond playtime with Abriana due to it had snowed. From the looks of it, the young femme had taken an imense liking to Snowflakes...a perfect mixture of both her parents god, and Chael couldn't have been more proud.
With a yawn, the arctic malu slowly lifted his head up and opened his eyes, seeing that Kiua was already awake - an abnormally seeing that he was up with Abriana at dawn. Poor tyke must have tuckered herself out yesterday. "Good morning, Beautiful." Chael smiled, leanding his head forewards to place a kiss upon her lips before looking down to Abriana whom also seemed to stirr in her sleep, snuggling into her mother's pelt. "And time to get up, Abriana." He chuckled, leanding his head down to nudge her with his nose; earning a yawn and a squeak from the little waking angel.
True...Chael had been somewhat relentful about returning here....for he knew his mother resided somewhere closeby in the underground city. Yet...he didn't even know if the pack was still here...or did they move on? In a way, he didn't want to meet up with her...yet another part of him hoped...would she be proud he now had a family? Or would she be indifferent...seeing as she abandoned him at the temple as a mere infant?

She hearded the soft sounds of breathing and movement. She glanced away from her thoughts and from looking at the snow to turn and see the love of her life smiling at her with all his charm.
"Morning to you too, Handsome." She smiled and nuzzle against his neck shortly after he pulled her into a sweet kiss.
She felt a warm little body curl in closer to her not wanting to move let alone get up. She smiled and gently nuzzled her babies head.
"Dadie's right, time for our little Cutie to wake-up." She spoke softly and placed a loving kiss on her daughters forehead, before looking up at Chael.
She loved the little moments like this. The things that made everything worthwhile. It instilled within her a feeling that everything was going to be okay no matter what happened to them.

Feeling the rouse of his heartbeat swell as their eyes met, it was amazingly strange that he still felt like it was the first day they met even after their extended time together. Here they were, with a beautiful child...and he still felt like the awkward young adult he was. Funny how love worked. Shaking the stray snowflakes from his head, Chael slowly rose from his imprint in the snow, looking about at the spraking snow under the late morning sun. God...it was good to be back.
Turning his head back to look at his family, he smiled and moved his muzzle down to blow on Kiua's head to rid her of the snow which settled there. Nibbling affectionately at her ears, Chael grinned lightly before inquiring, "So..Kiua. What would you like to do today? Since Abriana picked yesterday to stay and play with the snowflakes." He mused lightly.
Abriana squirmed under the kiss and her mother's kind words that it was time to wake up. Despite how much she wanted to lay in the comfort of her mother's side. "Nyeeh. Do I gotta?" She whimpered cutely, slowly standing up onto her paws. Although she wasn't an infant, she was still on the smaller side, nearing childhood. "Morning Mama....Morning Papa." She coo'ed, turning her sleepy eyes up to her parents before giving her body a shake to rid herself of snow.
