Toga! Toga! I'll be looking forward to it 3nodding ^_^ I can't wait to see your views on my innovative, or so I believe, argument for the pro-life side. I kind of brought up my new argument when I was debating a while back in my thread. I wasn't able to extend on it much.

Toga! Toga! My Conscience Toga! Toga! I'll be looking forward to it 3nodding ^_^ I can't wait to see your views on my innovative, or so I believe, argument for the pro-life side. I kind of brought up my new argument when I was debating a while back in my thread. I wasn't able to extend on it much. Was it the "conception violates the fetus' bodily autonomy" argument? Maybe ninja *puts tin foil around his head because he knows she is reading his mind* What I am obligated to do is to prove that the unborn should be afforded personhood. Then I have to prove that the mother is violating the bodily domain of the unborn before the unborn "violated" the mother's bodily domain. Universal Declaration of Human Rights: (USA signed it) "Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person." "Everyone has the right to recognition everywhere as a person before the law." I may possibly use those wink

If it helps, when you try to prove that the Z/E/F gets personhood I'm going to aske the following questions:
-How will you issue conception certificates when it is impossible to determine the exact point of conception and impossible to tell one was been concieved until after implantation (or if it's personhood at implantation, you won't know until later in the pregnancy at varying times)
-How will you issue death certificates for the zygotes that fail to implant and are flushed out before anyone knows they exist? Or the ones that implant but still miscarry before anyone knows?
-Do you plan to give funerals for every known miscarriage? Do you plan to financially help the couples trying to concieve and always fail? Funerals are expensive.

I already know some ways you guys can rebut my response. I have to work it out perfectly whee

How, precisely, would the woman be violating the fetus's bodily integrity? O.o
I mean, I've seen lifers pull the 'she concieved, so she was violating hte fetus's bodily integrity" which is really wtf for me, because when she had sex, there was no fetus with a BD to violate, and the woman a.) neither has any control over the sperm or eggs in her body and b)violates anything during fertilization, because it's only after fertilization has ocurred that there is a fetus with a BD to violate, rather than during fertilization.
Unless some people feel up to charging the destruction of eggs and sperm as murder. xD
Other than that, I haven't seen anyone try that argument.

Have you seen my pro-life argument thread? neutral The genome of a sperm and an ovum are not homo sapiens. Once the sperm and ovum fertilize they become a system of homo sapien cells. Before that, they are a system of homo sapien cells. The same with a cheek cells or brain cells. They are not a system of a homo sapien cells. They are just homo sapien cells.
