Yaoi is popular so some FMA fan people draw the yaoi fanfics becaust they thought it was hot or cute or whatever. So no, they are not gay in the anime but in the fanfics they are. besides, Yaoi are popular.

Well.. we fangirls can dream about RoyxEd can't we? Hee hee I feel like i'm causing such controversy being here in this guild, I've already had a few complaints about my sig and my avatar's name becuase its implying something XP At the end of the day you're free to express your opinion sure, but at the end of the day i like what i like and i ADORE RoyxEd no one's gonna change that and that goes for all the other fangirls of every paiing in existance XD

Here's my theory behind the yaoi thing:
Ed is a sexy, funny, loveable guy...
Roy is a sexy, funny, loveable guy...
Put the two together and you have a couple that is VERY sexy, VERY funny, and VERY loveable. And the idea of them together is like a taboo celebrity couple. ^_~

Well, I personally, hate yaoi. Gay stuff is everything but sexy, funny or cute! Plus, why would you want the hot guys to be gay?! I want them to be with me!!

*ahem...first of all they're only characters livable in drawings.
second of all, Yaoi is very popular and i believe Ed and Roy make a cute and hilarious couple. although it will never happen but hey at least we can all fanfic about it. that would be very hilarious. xd

[ EdxRoy is my favorite pairing. I don't think i could ever see Roy with a girl, as sad as that might be to some. I think Roy should be either with Ed, or with Havok. That's it for me. Havok is a little guilty pleasure of mine, so i'd like to see him with someone x3 ]
[ i guess i'm just rather partial to yaoi parings in general because i am gay, so it's just my nature >> ]

haha this is kind hard for me because I'm on both sides of the fence here. I'm bisexual, and I like a lot of couplings, however EdXRoy is not one of them. It would make Roy a *****, and Ed...well Ed would be being raped. Even if it is consensual sex on his end.
Most of the couples I like are rather....fun.

Maes Hughes and Roy Mustang heart
Gracia Hughes and Riza Hawkeye (Gracia and Maes Hughes along with Roy and Riza together are really sexy too! XD) heart

I'm a bit of a RoyXed fangirl myself, but i don't mind them being straight at all, thats how the characters were meant to be, nonetheless fans of yaoi will always be fans of yaoi and we will keep putting the two together as long as its funny, cute, or hot (either way i'm happy)

Well, people have their own opinions on their relationship ^^;; I'm not a RoyxEd fan (never really been a yaoi fan). Those images in peoples signatures are probably from doujinshis that other fans drew.

Thats kinda a discriminative opinion. But you don't have to like it, so I'm ok with that. Also, some girls (and guys) prefer seeing two people they attracted to, rather than just one, hence why there is a lot of girlxgirl material aimed at males, and a lot of malexmale content aimed at females. Makes sense kinda, why would a straight girl want to see a lady naked and a man, when it can be two men? And vice versa. Also, there is usually a "female" in most malexmale relationships, who female fans can relate to.
