Rolling over once or twice silver hues shot open into the pitch black night. The moon was dim behind the gray clouds that floated over this place. So dark, even here her nightmares found her when she tried to desperately escape them. She wished for one night of peace but her wish never came true. Ruffling her wings she sprawled out a bit, looking into the dark, for an answer, perhaps something she could do. What if dreams and nightmares could talk, what would they say to her? Did she deserve such horrible images before her eyes? Possibly, she did indeed fail her family, even if she was a cub, she was frozen by fear, and unknowing of how to help. Sighing she rolled onto her back, winced from her shoulders coming into contact with the ground. Her shoulder were hurting more lately, perhaps that outward pain is what kept the darkness in her chained more often then not. So that she would suffer the pain, the beast would be fine in its hideaway. The wind was gentle, running through the fur atop her head, she closed her eyes, tried to listen to it, see if it had a message. She heard stories of lions who listened to the winds, and prayed for a direction or answer to come, a sign or what to do, of where to turn. But it was only silence, then it died down and the blades of grass ceased to sway back and forth. "Perhaps I am not the only one with these nightmares...perhaps I'm not the only one," she told herself softly, and then laid her head on her forepaws.

One. Ther was always one. One lion that always managed to draw Baku to his or her side as they slumbered the night away and tonight was no exception though it was an odd case. It was a rare occurance that the God of Nightmares was drawn to one of his own, but there he was, perched in a nearby tree looking down upon a Goddess with a smirk playing across his maw.
Each lion was different with their reactions to their nightmares, some poor souls would wak in fright. It amused Baku so with how they flailed around trying to get a grasp of reality while others, though quite boring, just snap awake with no trouble. Baku always enjoyed those who got lost in their nightmares or were troubled by them and it appeared this Goddess was going to delight him tonight.
Crossing his front paws, Baku rested his head upon theme and gazed at the Goddess as he ruffled his wings, causing the sound of metal to ring off his wing clasps. "All beings, mortal and immortal, have nightmares my dear and all are unique." He said in a soft warm voice that was much decieving to his personality.

Something, something in the night. Silver hues looked around in teh darkness trying to see if someone had come, but no darker silouette came into her view. But something, something was different, something was wrong. She flicked her tail and then pulled it around her tightly. A gentle breeze made some of the grass blades touch her side which made her shiver.
So cold. So cold.
She hated that feeling, unknowing if someone was watching, being cold, having that odd feeling in the pit of her stomach. Then a voice came, breaking the silence. Ryu'Rage sensed no rage from the other, perhaps they did not mean her harm...perhaps. She was usually careful about these things, usually.
"Who is there? Show yourself to me stranger," she winced, a painful image rushed by her vision like a light in the dark. Her eyes watered somewhat, but she held it in. She did not know if her nightmares were beginning to plague her sight, she only wished for a night of peace. Just one night, where she could sleep in silence, and not be cold any longer.
"Who is there?" she asked again, softly, her voice carried off by the wind.

Oh how he loved teh game of cat and mouse. Even this immortal was shivering within his prescence. It was such a fantastic feeling to experience. This Goddess was nothing more than a quivering mouse held within his power for night and slumber were his domains and his are of expertise when it came to torture. What better way to drive one mad than in their sleep?
A flick of his tail and a ruffle of his leathery wings once again cause the jingle of metal to ring within the space the two immortals inhabited. He watched in amusement as the Goddess demanded to know who he was. He let it pass without a word as he lounged in the tree, green orbs not leaving his victim. He watched her antics and reactions to his presence and enjoyed every moment of her uncomfortable situation. Finally, at the last request did he voice himself again. "In the tree my dear." He said with a grin as he watched her, waiting for those eyes of her to find his comfortable perch. Afterall, he was in charge of the situation, why should he be uncomfortable even if she isn't? No, he wasn't about the move. If she could not find him then it was her own fault and stupidity.

Ryu'Rage did not like this, not at all. It was taking all of her strength to keep the beast chained within her. The darkness wished to break free, lash at the one hidden within the nights shadows. But she was trying her hardest, she did not want something bad to happen again. Though the beasts movements were witheld, the voice of what the inner self stated was let go.
"I don't appreciate such a thing as hidden figures, hidden strangers," she stood up, silver hues traveling to a tree nearby, the only one considering the grass around. She padded over to it slowly, eyes looking up, seeing a lump on a branch. The moonlight was not in the right spot to see the eyes of the stranger, nor the true form.
"Hiding in trees I see? Afraid to come down stranger?" She grinned, let her wings drape over her a bit as she stood beneath him. This would be interesting. Though Rage was struggling to keep quiet, walk away. The other part of her wished, no, demanded to know who this shadow was, what their intentions were.
Perhaps then she might escape teh nightmares, but she doubted it.
"Tell me your name..."

Baku laughed. "Hiding? Far from it. I am just comfortable where I am at but seeing as you aren't going to use those feathery appendages on your back, I guess I'll move to appease you." With that Baku rose from his spot and leapt down from the branch he was in to land gracefully upon the ground bellow.
Once upon the ground Baku smirked at his as his leathery wings were folded onto his back, the golden chains hanging from them catching the bit of moonlight that there was. With a mock Bow Baku looked up at her. "I a, my dear, am the God of Nightmares, Baku."

She watched the form, watched the gold glint in the pale moonlight. Such a dark figure as herself, was strange to see almost a mirror image in her eyes. "God of nightmares?" she asked, eyes narrowing, did he control her nightmares? Make them plague her every night of her existence?
"Do you control what I suffer through in the night then Baku?" she asked, watching him closely, she wondered what his powers were, she would have to be careful, her nightmares were some of the worst things she suffered through in her life. "I am Ryu'Rage...the goddess of Rage..." she did not offer a bow, but a slight, even slighter bow then the one he offered her moments before.
This was strange, she did not know nightmares were a realm amongst the gods.

Baku smiled. "No I do not control what you dream. At least not yours in specific. I just merely feed the nightmare that you experience, or...should I feel generous, I could ease what plagues your sleep." He yawned. "But I rarely ever feel generous enough to put enough effort in to make a block for the nightmares."
Brows rose at the females name and dominion. "Rage huh? That is certainly not something I'd heard of. It's kind of nice knowing there are others with damaging domains around. I was getting bored of all the peaceful Gods and Goddesses out there."

Rage frowned even more, he wouldn't help her then? Pity, least for herself. It seemed like another restless night and many after this night would be in the future for her. But she was curious, "Are there ways to...tilt your decision, on whether or not to be generous Baku?" She wanted to know, perhaps there was something she could try to get one nights of restful sleep.
The darker half of her puffed up with pride, yes, one side of her was destructive, even blood thirsty at times. Wanting to cause havoc and fill others with rage in their hearts and souls. But a constant battle within, she did have some sense left to her being. "I unfortunately will never escape my realm, but I must do as I must don't you think?" Yes...to punish those who deserved it, to fuel hearts with rage in battle.
All of that was glorious.
