Cho slowly made her way to the shop after yet another period of rest. She tried to remember the last time she was in her...was it weeks, or months? She tried to remember when it hit her. It was a while ago and she had encountered Colonel. The meeting had been a bit akward, but in a sense comforting too. She tried to shake that away from her mind as she continued into the shop.
After a few minutes of walking around, she found a nice corner to huddle into. She knew that it wouldnt protect her from having encounters with other cats, since it was close to the entrance of the shop. But her body was still tired from recovering from it's beaten state.

Colonel trotted, as much as a cat can trot, into the shop, tail up and head high. He had just finished off a particularly delicious meal of hunted bird and was feeling chipper in spirit.
So far away was the cat in his own thoughts that he mistook the shop for vacant, with the exception of Tybalt, who rarely strayed from his hermit life under one of the armchairs near the fireplace. Hopping up onto the table, he began to examine the walls of his bookfort, looking for structural flaws and honestly for something to read.

Cho froze up a bit when she heard the sound of another cat walk into the shop. She moved slightly to see Colonel walk into the shop.
Here eyes widened a bit and completely froze. Did he see her? If he did, what was she gonna do? Her mind was swimming with different thoughts and it didn't help; she still didnt know what to do.

Hearing slight noise, Colonel's ears went to alert. He turned his head slowly to see a shape huddled in the corner. Ears sliding back a little into a defensive gesture, he stood his ground on the table, so to speak. "Who's there?"

Cho's right ear twitched slightly at the sound of Colonels voice. Deciding it might be best to show herself to Colonel.
She slowly got up and half-limped to where she could be seen by the other cat.

The cat gasped in surprise. Was this really Cho? She looked so worn down and beaten up; a million memories of her smiling and happy flashed across his mind. Even the times when she pounced on him and clung to him unnecessarily were marked with a grin and a fire in her eyes, eyes that now seemed dark and hollow. Colonel couldn't stare at this cat, the mother of his children in another form so long ago that it seemed another lifetime, for too long; he was afraid that if the vast emptiness in her eyes swallowed him, he would be lost forever.
She had changed so much while he had stayed the same. Colonel wondered how life could be so two-sided. Her evolution had marked the end of an era in his life and most likely hers, but otherwise he had just lazed about as older cats were fond of doing. He wondered briefly if news of their first great-grandchildren had reached her, or if it could reach her, could break through the wall of sorrow he was now afraid to permeate.
Sitting, he looked down to the larger cat. "Cho?"

Many different emotions ran through Cho, but fear and sorrow had taken president over all, despite how much she wanted to run over to Colonel, for everything to be as they used to. How she deeply wanted to be able to smile and laugh they way she used to, before everything fell apart. She knew that it would take a lot of effort for things to be the way, and she questioned herself, did she really have the will or energy to?
She shrugged those thoughts off temporarily, trying to think of something to say, something that could make everything feel alright, but she couldn't. She tried to speak, but her dry throat couldn't produce sound. It was another minute later, she tried to answer him again.
"Hello Colonel." She said in a raspy tone.
