The lights dim, an expectant hush falls over the waiting audience, broken only by the odd cough, the rustle of confectionery wrappers and the creak of restraints.
The curtain begins to rise, heralding the beginning of what could be the scariest thing to ever present itself as entertainment...The Story so Far... A remote kingdom hemmed in by mountains, ruled over by an old and benevolent king. But the king dies without leaving an heir, throwing the kingdom into turmoil as many claim a right to the throne.
The only genuine(but extremely reluctant)heir is an illegilimate girlchild, fathered with a former chambermaid, brought up within the palace until her dreadful behaviour caused her to be banished to the northern woods to live with her'wicked' cousins.
As news of the king's death spreads, possible heirs and and suitors for the newly installed Princess really start to come out of the woodwork. Along with the usual assortment of freaks that happenings like this attract, who knows how things will turn out in the end.. Cast and Crew Georgehippo as 'Prince charming' himself, Sir Roger De Velvet ~ self obsessed ponce and quite possible closet homosexual.
Ranu Blackheart as Durza the Magician ~ bit of a nasty piece of work this one, protective towards the womenfolk, but apt to turn you into a cheese sandwich simply on a whim, one to watch out for.
WickedPeaches as Princess Peach ~ if you thought Durza was bad you're in for a BIG shock when you meet this young lady, forced into a life of sweetness and compliance by an ancient prophecy and not the LEAST bit happy about it.
jellysundae as The local Seer ~ sees much, some of which is a little random, useful if you're interested in the next week's shipping forecast or where you left your trousers.
Kim Dzong as Bruce ~ The 7th son of a 7th son, unfortunately of the local village idiot..Bruce's family were exiled from Australia years ago for being too stupid, now their progeny are the bane of the kingdom, and Bruce is about to discover that he has magical powers..

What's this! a panto!
OOH!! i could have SO much fun here twisted i could be the wicked step-mother twisted 'no you CAN'T go to the ball' 'get those dishes done' 'stop dressing up in my clothes'
HMMM, sounds like an evening at home with Hippo ninja
just had a thought though exclaim following true panto tradition i can't have a stereotypical role! i shall have to play a sweet, innocent and lovely maiden! lost and afraid and in search of her lost brain sheep or something.
*twirls finger in hair and contrives to look like butter wouldn't melt*

good grief, i know roles are reversed in panto but that's a bit extreme ninja
and that's the Tampa theatre, so i assume it's in florida, looks pretty though doesn't it? biggrin
