After taking a few days to get my knitting back up to par, I'm starting on my Ren scarf tonight. I will post pictures here and there to show my progress smile
Oh, I got my copy of the Nana movie today and I noticed something in the scene where the scarf appears: the hearts are sewn on. I'm going to follow the pattern that I have, but those cheaters!!
Here I go! Wish me luck!

VampMiyu Cool! ^_^ are you gonna make it as long as the real one?? I might, I'm not sure. Another thing I noticed about the scarf in the movie compared to the pattern I am going off of: the movie scarf had very loose knits and the pattern is two alternating knits making it tighter. I am roughly a quarter of the way done now so I predict by the end of the week I will have a finished scarf. An added note: I hate the purl stitch! haha EDIT: I'm done for the time being, and I'm up to about 22 inches on the first strip of white; not too far off from starting the pattern and all looks well, minimal mistakes smile

I have been ill so I haven't been working as hard as I did the first day, but I started the design last night. Now I know why the wardrobe staff cheated with the movie scarf, haha! It is being a pain in the butt smile Granted I don't get sicker than I am, I am making a new goal: hopefully I will have the scarf finished by next friday!

I finally got the design finished today! It needs to be cleaned up a lot, but I got the main part done. Now all I have to do is finish the last 35 inches to wrap the project up. With the holidays over I finally had time to work on my scarf. The design took me all of four hours collectively. Here's the design: http://www.geocities.com/bblackdahlia/renscarf.jpgWhen I have it totally finished I'll post a pic of me or someone else wearing it so you will get a general idea of how big it is.

I just finished the last of it about an hour ago. Collectively it took about a week. The design was the quickest part, taking about four hours (with a few interruptions), but it was the solid part that was more of a pain. It got very repetitive. In the magazine it said that it would only take one thing of the white, but I used one and a half, but that was after a couple of screw ups that needed to be fixed. Overall, I am very pleased with how it turned out. Now if only the weather would get cold enough for me to wear it smile
