Ichigo vs. Commander Jean Paturade

FIGHT!
PostPosted: Sun Dec 10, 2006 6:54 pm

Jean walked out into the arena once again, eagerly awaiting for a complete fight with someone.

(( Let me know if you got sensors or the like on you. So I can account for them. Got a few temp sensitive weapons. ))

From the other end, a man wearing what looked like a friar's robe enters into the arena. Upper chest bouncing a bit with each step. He would pass off as human-looking if not for the white wing protruding from his back on one side and the black batlike wing from his back on the other side. 3 sheaths can be noticed down his back. Looking like a vertical *. In one sheath, held a claymore. In the other two, were held 2 blades. (Previous opponent never went into detail what type of blades, so I am going with short sword sized.) In his right hand, he held an adamantine staff. Upon closer inspection, the sleeves of his arm could be seen a being pointyish looking. Suggesting something underneath the cloth.

"Hi-dee, ho. How are you doing?"

((Please forgive the shitty entrance. Flus are not fun.))

((Sensors? Even if I did, I wouldn't tell you about them...))

Jean merely yawned, not all so enthusiastic about fighting. The tournament was boring him, as he hadn't had a good fight in awhile. "G'day to you too...or whatever you people say..." he said, dusting himself off in the process. He proceeded to twirl his daggertail around for no particular reason, just because he can.

((I can understand where you are coming from. It is just that my guy has a few abilities and such that would automatically 'pop up' on certain radars so to speak. The idea was to accomodate (sp?) the post accordingly. And a daggertail is what exactly? ))

The oddly winged-man flaps his wings and ascends into the air some. With his free hand, he takes out his claymore. The weapon's blade portions engulfs itself on fire reaching around 100 degrees fahrenheit. Ichigo charges a bit of his spiritual energy (secondary magic gauge for specific abilities) into the blade and launches a flaming fist at his opponent. At the current distance between them, the fist would reach the Jean's position in about 1.5 seconds.

((Time limit change request: A reduction to 2 days from the original 3 day limit. ))

((Daggertail...whip-like object with sharp blades. And to the time limit? Nein...))

In response to his move, Jean would quickly roll to the side upon seeing the fist flying towards him. 1.5 seconds is ample time to dodge a solitary projectile, particularly if it was going straight. Upon getting up, he'd hold out his hand to form a solitary red ball of what appeared to the average eye to be energy, but from what is unknown at this point. Once reaching the size of a baseball, he'd toss it right into the ground below Ichigo. However, it would not have any effect...at least, immediate.

Jean would quickly step back once again, prepping for his opponents next move. He would not attack yet, he needed a better chance to attack when the opponents guard was down, as with those wings, it could create him quite a problem.

Ichigo watched on as the opponent did his fancy maneuvers and such. Gradually ascending a bit, he starts to slowly fly towards his opponent. Watching on as what the man was trying to do.

Jean would just sit there in a defensive posistion. He had to wait a little longer before anything had a chance at happening, as his opponent was too far away for his daggertail to reach..

Switching from ascending to descending, Ichigo continued to slowly approach him. He wasn't going to attack yet. He was still playing the role of watcher.

Hmmph...no no...go back up...

He was thinking to himself. He was not yet prepared, so he may as well make a basic attack to test his opponent. Raising the daggertail above his head, he'd slam it into the ground. A split second after that, 5 sharp rock spears would rise out of the ground and speed around 80 mph towards his opponent. However, only one of the spears would be aimed directly for him. The others would spread out above and below, to the left and the right, forming a cross shape pattern. They would each be around 4 feet apart from the center. The opponent's wings would be give him a slight disadvantage, as there would be more of an area to hit.

(( Kind of a bit much for a basic attack, eh? ))

His opponent having fired two energy-based attacks, Ichigo had most of the information of what he needed for one of his abilties. Though, it would not come into play yet. Unfortunately, with an attack come from the ground like that, there is a shaking within the ground to give it off. Accounting for displacement within the ground to form the attack and such.
Ichigo's eyes glowed purple and a pruple line of energy started to leak out of him towards the ground of said area displacement.

The rock spears shot up and were stopped in mid-air, the purple glow from the line now surrounding them. The rock spears slow rose up into the air and starting circling around Ichigo. Not launching any, he wondered what to do with his new toys as well as watching his opponent to see what would happen next.

Purple haze, eh? I could use this...

Shaking off the rather odd defense and shock of no counterattack, Jean proceeded to move backwards from the center. He had plenty of time to charge up, and now it was ready...

The ground below them would proceed to become porous and filled with deep, seemingly endless holes, though only in a few select areas. Though they were not that huge, it was easy to assume that they were deep as the hole at first appearance was pitch black. However, they would not appear empty for long, as a thick smoke would proceed to rise out of the ground. Not only would it make it nigh impossible for Ichigo to see through the dense grey/black clouds at that altitude, it was also very unhealthy for him to stay up there. Smoke poisoning is possible, after all, what with all the carbon monoxide and other gases that make up a fine, deadly cocktail.

The smoke would slowly rise up to his level, clouding up the area. Of course, overtime it would diffuse into the bottom as well, but Jean did not need to worry, as he did not have any need to aerobically respirate, thus required no oxygen whatsoever. Also, the glows around the spears thrown earlier...their purple glow would be somewhat visible, penetrating the haze, allowing Jean to get somewhat of an easy target on Ichigo.

With this in mind, Jean would pound down onto the ground, releasing a solid Timpany drum shot ringing throughout the entire stadium. Instantaneously, another two holes, one below Ichigo and one to his left side, would appear and spew out volcanic rock and lava, all aimed towards his body. With the glow from the spears, he would be detectable. If he tried to defend with them, the rocks would knock the spears back into him, sending him flying, while the lava would melt the rock. The Timpany ring would overshadow anything that could be heard from the resulting "explosions", and the smoke would cloud his vision.

Of course, he could always dodge it, but doing so without inhaling fresh air or good visibility would be mighty difficult. Meanwhile, Jean would just watch his opponent make his move. He should've figured out he was trapped on the ground. Staying up there was a death trap with all the smoke and lava attacks that would come with every Timpany beat. Though he'd probably survive the attacks, he couldn't so much the smoke inhalation. A little elaborate? Yes. However, his opponent gave him time to let loose the hellfire that came with a volcano, AND he did want him down on the ground where the fight would be a little fairer...

The purple haze extended itself to the smoke itself, rapidly making the smoke itself glow purple. Jean would see the smoke itself rapidly stop rising and actually lower down to his level and a good portion above it. With the purple haze seemingly everywhere around Jean now, Ichigo would be harder to 'see.'

As for the volcanic rock and lava, they were magically created. Allowing Ichigo to be able to 'sense' them coming. Ichigo would fly to his left side. The volcanic rock and lava aimed for his area had missed. Ichigo would continue to fly out of the area in which the lava would then start dispersing accordingly due to gravity while weaving to dodge the volcanic rock spewing upwards and everywhere as well as the lava.

Now onto the lava and rock itself..

As part of nature of the lava and rock, the rocks would disperse themselves in the various appropriate directions all around the arena floor. A few 'clogging' or interfering with atleast one of the holes that have appeared. The lava itself would eventually come back down to the arena floor and ooze in all directions as if it were water being dispersed. Some of the lava would end up in the holes while most of it would affect the arena floor. The lava itself would also come for Jean and had the possibility of burning him alive. The arena floor would also start to melt under the lava. As such, if Jean kept up the lava blasts, he could very well melt himself into Out-of-bounds disqualification.

Add onto this, that the lava and rocks are blurred by Jean's own smoke (now covered with the purple haze), it would be highly difficult for him to even see any rocks or lava coming his way.

Ichigo's rock spears were in towe with him during the weaving.

Generally, that would be what happened...had both of the respective attacks not been aimed for the same target. With nothing their to impede their progress, they would both surely meet, causing the rocks and lava to explode outward across the arena, flying in many directions, but not all of them. Because he would be so close to the center of the explosion, Dreslin had somewhat of a high chance to be impaled with rocks and burned severly by the lava that would spread out, and could do nothing about it. It was nigh impossible not to get hit anyway, due to the range of such a strike, but due to the position the rocks would be in when they would strike, the attack would generally go away from his current location. However, some would push back towards him, it was moreso a question of whether or not he would catch them in time.

With the collision, the remaining lava and rock would be small enough to easily fit through the holes and back into the earth from which they originated. The rocks would be reformed into lava when combined with the heat, and would descend back into the earth. Any bits that did not fall in would be insignificant enough to not cause any major damage to the arena. Jean would also be unharmed, as the sound of the collision could be easily heard. Using logic that the attack would scatter, he'd pull up some of the ground around him to the top to form a dome that would hold its own against his own attack, though still covered by smoke, then cause the ground materials to descend back to where it came from.

However, the smoke was still at Jean's side. Due to simple properties of diffusion, it would still disperse, yet the smoke would still cover Jean for a tad longer. It was now a question of whether or not Ichigo had both survived the first barrage and could sense Jean. Otherwise, he would be relatively safe...for now.
