Kirby has a secret language.

Wanna see an example?

(Okay, I'm not going to spoilerify...you wouldn't get it anyway, even if you've read all the stuff I've posted about Ametris. Suffice it to say that this is an Ametrisan prayer for the dead.)

Seeta enna noråi Roquiis Vité, quitar hasýa iiyana ví monyæ. Áis suetiä erya ryés, lijya…

Pretty, isn't it? The first part rhymes. The second part and the part below are rather personal, but it's good to know what these things mean.

Nesji karên (nessSHI carEHN) means "I'm so sorry." (Tragic death OMG O.o). Just a basic I am sorry (no slang in Ametris) is Neskarên.

Seeta enna noråi Roquiis Vité -- (SEEta EHna norAYE rokEES veeTAY) means "May the deities send you to Guiding Light" (That's like heaven to them. Roquiis Vité means "Guiding Light," obviously.)

Quitar hasýa iiyana ví monyæ-- (keeTAR hassYA eeYAWNah VEE MONyay) means "may you find eternal peace." Iiyana is the name of a river in Ametris (OMG the country of peace) and of course, it means "peace." If I can fix it a little, the word should mean "peace flows." Catchy, no?

Áis suetiä erya ryés, lijya -- (ayeEES suEEshia ERya rayEES, LEEHya [js are silent, basically.]) means "Please, (lijya) be happy without me."

Like I said, tragic. But anyway, that was Ametrisan for dummies. Now, for Sirteman for dummies.

It's backwards. Amen.

The prayer in Sirteman is as follows:

Atees annë Iąron siûqor Etiv, ratiuq aysah aňayii eaÿnom.(ahTEES ahnYAY eyeAHRon seeOOkor ehTIV, rahTIook AYsah ahnAyee ay-ah-ee-NOM.)

No more rhyming. As you can see, the accentuations changed considerably, and I moved soem letters around. That's so it'll sound better...it doesn't have to be exactly the same. Grammar and such is the same for both languages. (Like, you know how in spanish, the adjective comes after the noun? Not so in Ametrisan and Sirteman. Every word is the same. As to how it compares to English...Kirby is not fluent. Yet.)

I'm sorry is Sëneraki. I'm SO sorry is Ijnsë neraki. And the little sad "be happy w/out me" is: Sía aiteüs åyre seyr, ayjíl.

The only other word I know is amira/arima: "release." Liek, if you want someone to let go of you, instead of shouting "Let go!" you would shout "Amira!" and amiráis means "let go of me." For Sirteman, it'd be siárima.

Judging by this, you can tell it's a pretty depressing book, huh? You only ever see this in Lacausta, though pretty much, they speak Ametrisan all the time. Erm, Sirteman.

>.>
<.<

DON'T YOU SAY A WORD.

But isn't it pretty? (:

And also, (Yes, Satanas, O Master of Odd Symbols, I am talking to you) if anyone can let me know what the following odd letters sound like (like, gimme a word or something) then I would be very very happy.

å ð ą ø þ ÿ ċ ħ ļ ŋ ő ơ ŧ

and then there's that upside-down e.

No procrastinating.

Hjokado!

That's Ametrisan for "Stop being lazy or I'll beat you with a stick. MOVEIT!"

ø þ

I only know those two. (they are both Norse). The first is a hard O sound like not. The second is the norse rune Thorn. It's the "th-" sound.

Fun tidbit - Thorn is Odin's rune, much like the Tiewaz rune is for Tyr (arrow pointing up).

I've seen that. I thought that was a pagan symbol for males...

like ^ this? A phallus?

And what about the language? Took me a damn long time...

ŋ - engma. Latin letter N. I do not know the pronunciation.

å - as in Called. At least from my understanding.

ð - Eth. Old english // Modern icelandic. This is also 'th-"

ÿ - the dots are known as umlaut (diacritic). Do not notice a difference in pronunciation, short sound.

ħ - Latin for H.

ċ - Latin for G.

ļ - the curve is known as a cedilla. That letter is latvian.

ő - double acute accented mark. Used in written Hungarian. long vowel as opposed to the short vowel o.

ŧ - Latin letter T.

ơ - one of the 12 Vietnamese vowels. Pronounced like unrounded 'o'.

Not as far as I know, though there may have been some connotations there.

Language is ... unique. Must have taken a long time to think up.
