So it's pretty evident by now 98% of the guild hates me (even if they understand where I'm coming from).

What it boils down to is this:

Just because I haven't been here actively posting didn't mean I stopped in every once in a while to have a look-see. I've been on the memberlist since the guild was created.

When I finally came in I didn't mean to judge, it seemed the guild was going downhill very fast. So I was trying to help, and then the huge flamefest broke out. To me, I thought Meru and Nymphie were trying their hardest given their circumstances and they were doing a pretty good job, given their circumstances.

The members were confused as to how the guild should be run, and the VCs were confused as to how the guild should be run, and there was lots of accusations going around. Because of DeGei's thread everyone got really defensive. I tried to stay out of it for the most part(in the guild, that was) but it did not seem like the flaming would ever end(capswall, anyone?) So instead of posting my ideas that I thought would help I IMed them to meru.

Everyone was upset, so we both kind of ended up nowhere, and after the IMing Meru and I just got done with I'm pretty positive she hates my guts, too.

I PMed Zaedye because, even if the flaming stopped, it would still be a sloppy bandaid over a gash, and it'd be ripped open every time some sort of problem came up. And that, I thought, wouldn't be a good thing.

I really love the Sniper Game. I try to read the archives whenever I can, and I wanted to participate in the Next Sniper game. I felt that the next sniper game owuld not be held if we all were too busy yelling at eachother about how stupid this that or the other person was.

I figured if Zaedye stepped in and said "Hey you guys, This guild is a dictatorship" then you all would listen to your VCs and not blame them for powerplaying, which they weren't doing. Or, Zaedye could come in and say "Hey guys, this guild is a democracy" in which case the VCs would have to change a little but on how they do things.

I thought the whole problem stemmed from lack of information. I did not even think of PMing Zae until the very wee hours in the morning, after two flamey threads had been made and Meru's explanation thread had grown to two pages or so.

Even then it was kind of a decision I made because I was angry you all were acting like a bunch of little kids throwing sand in people's faces in the community sandbox.

It wasn't my place to try and mediate, but I did anyway, and when that didn't work I brought in Zaedye and explained in my PM that I was worried for how this guild was going to deal with these problems and that she should Tell the users/VCs what power they truly have..

I gave suggestions. I did not know what she did was going to be the position she would choose. This is an excerpt from the PM I sent her:

"I really think you should either instruct your VCs with what type of government the guild is(democracy, dictatorship) so they know if they are allowed to do things(like make rules) and enforce them because they say so, or if they need the entire guild's opinion on the matter.

Meru and Nymphie are trying the best they can but with no expierence prior to this and with no guidance from you they're lost and it is frustrating for the entire guild. The game itself is suffering."

I PMed her because I cared about this guild and I wanted to be in another Sniper Game. I'm sorry I was so elitist and "I'm better than you" about it.

That said and my point discussed, I'll take no offense if you all want me to quit the guild.
Which I will do, if you think it is for the better of everyone.

The reason I never said what I said before was because I thought you didn't need to hear my opinion, that you had enough friends not to care about opinions of us common types (lawlz, bit of a joke there), and so I never said anything. ANd now that there is a reason to say it, and I kinda have proof you need to hear my good thoughts about you, I told you them.
I've always been thinking them, I just never knew you needed to hear them.
That goes for Meru, too.
