As for my cousin, she likes it simply because they are together so much in the begining of the plot, and they really grow with, and complament eachother.

as for me, I do enjoy other crack pairings such as Ruki/Renji, Orihime/Ishida and a few yaoi pairings.

As far as I'm concerned, I really don't see anything permanently proving another pairing.

Ichi/Hime seems to be the new ship in the manga, although there isn't any solid proof that Ichigo cares for Orhime at all. I think he'd have better ties with Tatsuki than with Hime, to be honest. Orihime isn't really his type, he doesn't really interact with her very much unless he's commenting on how strange she is.

Ichi/Tatsuki Hm. An actual posibility, though slight as heck. Tatsuki has no real point in the show right now, except to explain what Ichigo was like as a child. However, in the manga she's starting to show promise, and I get the feeling that within the next chapter or two she's going to burst into the scene as a very important character... this sort of thing happens all the time. xD Still, there isn't enough known about Tatsuki yet to decide on that.

Renji/Ruki is one of those things that might happen, but doubtful to me. Renji has always had a childhood love for Rukia, but she never really focused on him, even then - she always cared for Kaien. It just appears that they have more of a brother sister relationship than a romantic one.

Ruki/Chad .... come on now, don't be stupid.

Ruki/Ishida I feel kind of bad for Ishida because he's very, very defensive of the women in the manga. He makes outfits for them, and it seems like he's not very secure, and falling for every girl isn't helping him much. He also feels very strongly for Orhime in the manga, and now that he's out of Soul Society, he doesn't care for Rukia at all. In the show, he falls in love with someone else as well.

I just tend to go for IchiRuki above everything else because it's the most sensible and most likely to happen later on.... I'll have to get into everything else later cuz I have to catch my school bus.... but basically that explains the IchiRuki love...

First of all-the first two posts are right. All of your statements, questions and accusations offend me. And who are you to question the likes and personalities of others? Need I continue?

Second-Ichigo and Rukia seem to me to be the closest couple-wise. Renji x Rukia just strikes me more as a sibling-like thing. While I must admit that Renji probably has some feelings for Rukia (this often happens in close friendships-ask any psychiatrist), they don't seem to be reciprocated in any way.

Third-I suppose there may be some sort of logic behind Ichigo x Orihime (namely; Orihime's blind obsession with him), but Ichigo really didn't have much to do with her until the Seireitei Arc-and by then, he and Rukia were already (seemingly) developing feelings for eachother. As they are even in the Bount Arc, it doesn't seem as if anything Orihime does to get closer to Ichigo strikes me as working in the least bit.

If you want me to tell you more, I can later. Right now the Robot Chicken Star Wars Special is coming on, and I'll be damned if I'm gonna miss this chance to bug the s**t out of my mom!
