In a little more than a week, the silvery thing had changed drastically. It was now the size of a child, perhaps around six or seven years old, lanky rather than plump like the other Heralds had been. Oh yes, Elizabeth was now well aware of what the creature was, and that his name was Finn. It was the only word he could say for the first few days, but now it seemed he had picked up another one, equally annoying in his lilting Irish accent.
"Mama," Finn insisted. Elizabeth stopped, frustrated. She had to go to the library, but was stuck on the street trying to deal with whatever his problem was now.
"I'm not your mother Finn. I'm hardly older than you."
"Mama."
"Not mama."
"Sissy?" At least it was a new word, and it would have to do.
"Yes, fine. I'm your sister. Big sister, okay? Now let's go to the library. I have homework. Can you say homework?"
"Mama."

With a happy smile, Lind worked his way back through the maze of shelves with a large book hled in his arms awkwardly. After (finally!) making it into the area with all of the nice floofly comfortable chairs, he jogged unevenly towards the chair that conatined Subo.
Ginning hugely, he dropped the book (an ecyclopedia of snakes) on his mother's lap, and crawwled up after it. He was, for once, quite content with sitting still and absorbing information.
That is, of course, untill he saw an interesting something through the window. Book forgotten, he lept off of the chair, much to Subo's displeasure, and ran through the doors to meet the interseting person.((xD Subo's not meh ava, she looks like this! cept with siper-y legs on her back x3))

Finn spotted a fellow little boy approaching himself much faster than Elizabeth could have. "Oh dear," was all she could mutter under her breath. Finn had limited speech and he seemed so... so new. What would this encounter do?
Then again, this other creature was clearly a Herald, albiet an older one. He couldn't have been that much older though- he still had the child-like appearance that Finn had, only characterized by... she didn't know what it was. Perhaps his hair was a different color- Elizabeth's mind wasn't really there.
Finn in turn ran up to the boy, waving excitedly. He couldn't think of what to say, though he was picking up words at a simply alarming rate. He recalled something his guardian had said earlier that day. "English, english!" It was Finn's version of hello, it seemed.
Frazzled and trying to keep up with her charge, Elizabeth stood by Finn as he carefully looked over the newcomer. "This is Finn," she said, placing a hand on the silvery hair of the Herald. "He's new. You'll be gentle, yes?" This Herald wasn't familiar, but she had met a few others. All were different, and this one looked rather sturdy.

Skreeeeeeet! Lind slid to a stop a few feet away from Finn, his face a mask of confusion. English? English? What? Well now...
Jumping to a conclusion, however odd it was, seemed the best decision. He tried to think of an appropriate response, but was drawing a blank.
Oh well, ignorence is just as good a decision.
"Hiiiii!" He said, returning the vigorous wave. "'M Lind!" he added, staring at the new Herald and his guardian curiously.

Finn tilted his head quizically at this strange other creature who seemed rather similar to himself. Though his mind was functioning on its limited capacity at this age, Finn knew how to recognize a name when he heard it.
"Finn." He couldn't properly introduce himself of course, but he could burble his name happily and hope the other one understood.
"Play Finn?" Lacking the word with, Finn tried to get his point across as quickly as possible. He wanted play, and he wanted it now. This other boy looked like he would be fun to play with.
Reaching into the waistband of his ragged pants, Finn extracted a rather tatty looking stuffed stag. "Play?"

"Yeahyeahyeah!" Lind responded. Play. Now that was one thing he neer had to be asked twice about. Ohboy.
Lind tilted his head when the stag was pulled out. "Does it have a name?"
