Losing was not something he was accustomed to. Winning twice in a row, then falling flat on his face again was unacceptable. The teal Raynos had a fresh coat of paint and was completely refueled and ready for action. Sitting stationary along a battle ridden plateau overseeing a likewise battle-torn field, the Raynos screeched out in anger of its short-comings. Mugen's eyes were narrow, the blood coursing through his veins ran cold. Clenching his jaw he spoke just above a whisper in his cockpit.::
We'll have our revenge... and it will be savored...
::The man took in a sharp breath and relaxed, waiting on his Radar Dome to shred any light of an incoming zoid.::

It seemed today would be like any other day. Nothing exciting. Ah, well. Viveka pushed the controls forward, testing the speed of her Zoid. It let out a hiss as claws dug at earth and kicked the machine faster; closer and closer to reaching its limit. The redhead was ready to make this day interesting. Sliding the controls again, she ignored the slight protest of the Raptor. It stormed across the ground, nearly reaching its maximum speed when something drew its attention. Soon after, a blip on the radar made itself known in the form of a screech that dug at the pilot.
Pulling back the controls in a fury of rememberance and hatred, her gaze shot angrily to the sky, nearly missing the fact that her Zoid roared loudly in protest of the immediate stop. Its legs bent and it bounced a step or two to balance itself as it slowed.Rev Raptor

::Smiling sadistically, Mugen shuffled in the cockpit. The Raynos cryed out in anger, as Mugen jumped the zoid from the plateau's edge. The teal bird glided down towards the ground, and in its descent engaged its thrusters, taking off like a bat out of hell, soaring within 100 feet of the ground before Mugen pulled down on the controls sending the Raynos back into the blue sky. Opening a com-link to the Rev Raptor the man chuckled, a hint of malice lingering in his speech.::
I suggest you accept my challenge to a battle, mode 0992... either way lifes going to be painful for you sweet heart.
::Laughing a few times, the man was almost losing it. His last battle had affected him, to the point of his sanity being in check.::

Show-off. That was the first thing that came to mind. Well, whatever. It would take more than a little arial demonstration to indimidate Viveka. And so, before the com-link had even been opened and the 'invitation' given, she'd been pulling back at the controls, readying the Raptor for anything. It hissed, as was its nature. And likewise, the pilot smirked. "I accept," she assured. There was no way she would've declined. After recently losing to another hated flight-type, it was time to bounce back. "But I suggest you learn a few manners in the future, kid." Shutting the link with the flip of a switch, she pulled her Zoid back a few paces before pushing the controls with one fluid motion and sending it speeding towards the cliff.
There was no way she could reach him at his height, but she could at least set up a sort of advantage. He would get the first shot, no denying that, but she wasn't overly affected by the fact. The only thing that ate at her was that he wasn't coming down fast enough. "Let's go!"

::Laughing heartily, if not maniacally over the com, Mugen gave a toothy grin before shutting off the com.::
Always did like my women fiesty.
::With that the piercing gaze of the black and gold iris was gone, and the Raynos began its dive. It had ascended high into the mid-day sky, and now was diving at a breakneck speed, heading directly for the Rev Raptor. With a grin, he opened up the 30mm chain linked cannons, in a blaze of yellow, lighting up the battle-torn field, and hopefully lighting up the Raptor as well.::

As he made his move, the Raptor was still speeding at the cliff. Viveka barely paid any heed to the arial Zoid, even as it came closer and finally fired. But the pilot was ready, luckily. Giving the controls one sharp push set the Raptor almost jumping forwards to pick up the milage she desired. And with that, she pushed even harder to get the controls moving fast enough to avoid each shot. All it took was a little planning. Smirking lightly, she worked the Zoid into a turn around. Though this particular dino didn't have the best agility, it looked like it would be enough to make it in time. At least, she hoped so.
Pushing a familiar button summonded the sycthe cutters, which glowed with a dull silver pulse. Eyes narrowed in calculation and anticipation of the strike. Almost there. Leaning the Zoid slightly, she tried to make it an easier hit for the blades. With flight-types, there weren't many chances for a clean hit. She'd have to make this count.

::Mugen flinched as the cutters sliced deep into the underbelly of the Raynos. It was a pretty solid hit and the whole zoid shook for a moment as the cutters made their incision. With a snarl, the man turned around his zoid, convinced that he would not miss a second time. It was almost a trend now for Mugen to miss his first shot. This either fueled his rage and increased his accuracy the next time around, or he would become so flustered with anger and hatred that his shots would be wildly all over the place. With screech, the Raynos let fly its 30mm cannons once again, Mugen setting up what he hoped was a nice line of fire in the direction of the Rev Raptor.::

While pulling the Raptor out of its tilt, the sound of the flight-type's screech just behing them cut into the pilot as deep as their first hit had. Cringing, she scowled, blinding flinging the Zoid around in hopes of a second hit. Yet, before it could even completely turn, shots rang out, slamming into its side with ease. It let out an enraged hiss while the Viveka pulled hard at the controls to keep it standing. That was close. Almost lost balance there. Scowl turning into a full out glare in the other's direction, she slid the Raptor back to a good stand and thrust it forward. They were in a direct path now, the claws would make a good hit, she was sure.
Another hiss sounded from the belly of the land-dino as it charged forward. Twin claws flashed in front of it, readying its frontal assult. If a machine could look determined, it did. It too remembered what happened in the last fight with an arial enemy.

(( Just had an MRI with contrast... which means HE STUCK A HUGE a** NEEDLE IN MY ARM AND IT HURT D: ))
Too easy.
::All that the battle-mongerer had to do was a easy barrel roll to his left, easily dodging the Raptor in the process. With a grin, the teal Raynos shot high into the sky, twin streams of visible air drafting off the wings of the zoid as it made its climb high into the sky. Reaching the peak of its ascent, Mugen flipped the zoid horizontally, then pulled hard down on the controls sending the aerial zoid back where it came from. The Rev Raptor was clearly in sight, the alloy talons clenching once or twice in preperation for Mugen's attack. Just as they closed in proximity, the teal Raynos leaned close down near the Raptor, and slashed out with its talons, hoping to shred up the already battered armor.::

((Oh, ow! Dx I don't normally mind needles, but those of the 'huge a**' variety are just a BIT painful. *snugs Kenji*))
It was now or never. No room for games, no room for mess-ups. Viveka could feel the tired drag of her Zoid as it plodded along, trying its best to recover from the talons that'd just dealt there blow. Luckily enough, it'd been a bit softened by the Raptor's own hardened blades, one of which had taken the grunt of the blow. Hissing angrily, the land dino, led by the swift action of the pilot's hands at the controls, spun back to attempt its counter attack. Another dull silver glow, similar to the one seen near the beginning, radiated from the back-mounted scythes. Eyes narrowed in calculation. They had to hit, otherwise it was likely the Raynos would escape into the sky or its next strike would finish the Raptor. Whatever the case, she hoped they wouldn't have to take that chance.

::Crash and burn seemed to be Mugen's motto as of late. With a sickening cry, the Raynos began to plummit, plumes of smoke trailing behind the falling zoid. With a snarl, Mugen punched in a few buttons, and ejected from his cockpit. The coolness of the air took him by suprise as the parachute engaged, allowing Mugen to observe his zoid from a distance. The Raynos fell limply through the sky, crashing hard into the patchy grass terrain. From what he coculd see, the right wing was severly damaged, and betn at an awkward angle. It was going to take more than a Gustav to pull out the downed zoid. As the terrain approached below, Mugen prepared himself. Rolling as he hit the ground, he grunted, giving a heated glare towards the Rev Raptor. Flinging off the parachute, the man made his way over to the CSF'ed Raynos.::
