This slump was killing her. There had to be a way out. Yet it seemed rather random, a Rev Raptor sitting motionless at the edge of the forest. No clear motive was written in the action. Nevertheless, the pilot was ever calculating as she sat, hands gripping idly the controls. Mis-matched eyes watched the radar with a hope and want all in the same. Some other Zoid would come by eventually, right? This was a good vantage point.

"What do you think?" Viveka spoke out. And the only earned responce was a hiss from her Raptor. It didn't seem to know what she was talking about. Sighing, the redhead finally settled back in her seat, relasing one control to tug a bit at the restraints.

It was the first time in a while, but Necrofarious was feeling good. His stomach was full from a much-deserved lunch, and he'd managed to get a good sleep beforehand. All in all, it felt as if it would be a good day, and what better way to celebrate than taking the Shadow Fox out for a run? That was just the cherry atop the sundae for him, belting it through the fields at 290. A definite smile was etched across his pale features as he moved along, pink eyes trying to catch the various scenery as they moved. The fox crooned its revelry, eager and very pleased by this turn of events. Usually it and its glowing panel was the man's only comfort, sad or pathetic as it may have sounded. A grumpy little grunt came from somewhere near the back of the cockpit- the pink Grun V was reminding Neco to keep it out of all his hyper hullabaloo. It liked him better when he was someone to protect.

The radar bipped with the sudden presence of another zoid in the area, growing more incessant as they drew closer. But wait, it wasn't on the move? Was it hurt? And then Necrofarious saw it- a Rev Raptor. The dino zoid was too familiar to the pale man, and a sudden shudder coursed up his spine. His hands pulled back on the controls and slowed the fox as they approached, actually throwing the lever so that the fox whipped to the side and skidded to a halt and threw up some dirt. Oh yeah, he was feeling sassy! Well... at least compared to how he normally was. Now he was suspicious. Was this zoid part of the Backdraft group?

"Are you in need...of assistance?" He asked the com link after he flicked it on. Maybe it was just enjoying the scenery too, huh?

Time seemed to pass with a strangely slow tick now. Each second could be easily counted, measured, and passed to rest with its kin. Or maybe she was just thinking too much. Whatever the case, these thoughts were beginning to drag on her nerves. Fingers slipped agitatedly around the familiar controls of the Raptor, but the relaxation that normally came with the motion hadn't quite shown itself just yet. Now was one of those times she regreted not picking up a book at the last town. And thusly, her mind seemed occupied on such regret until a well-known sound met her ears. No time to waste on petty regretting now. The radar told that what she'd wanted was coming. Another Zoid.

A rather unsual sort of almost-grin slipped to Viveka's features as it came into view shortly after the warning. Finally. And what an interesting Zoid, too. She'd seen few Shadow Foxes in her life. After all, they were meant to not be seen, right? Well, this one didn't seem too bothered by the idea of being out in the open. Hopefully he wouldn't be bothered by the idea of a fight, either. Setting her attention on the com-link, she willed away any traces of the looks she'd had before. "No, I'm fine," she returned over the link, now seeming as nonchalant as her usual self was. "At least, my Zoid is." No careless moves. Not all pilots were the same. "But I guess you could help me... If you'd like to battle." Simple, though not as much to-the-point as she would've liked. Ah, well. If worst came to worst, he'd decline and she'd go back to being bored.

"Battle.." Echoed the generally introverted man. She might believe him to be retarded for it, but it was an unconscious habit. He thought it over much more silently, flexing his hands upon the controls, which hummed just below the surface with indication of the fox's energy. One hand tapped the screen to be sure- yes, the fox's status seemed pretty well off since the repairs to it had been made. The warmth in his gullet, the energy spurring through his limbs... "I'd like that."

Pale digits dove into his pocket, freeing a captive white bottle from it. Couldn't take any risks, could he? That OCD... he didn't trust it to not make him have the fox do a somersault. "Would you rather do it... in the field behind... or in the forrest?" The latter would be more interesting, perhaps more so for him. The fox was built for that sort of thing, but maybe the Rev Raptor pilot would rather have a clear shot of him. Twin white pills were popped into his mouth routinely before the canister was pocketed, hands reaching out to curl around the controls once more.

Rarely did Viveka overly think on the habits of others. She had quite a few, herself. One of them just happened to be playing with the controls, which she found she was doing at that very moment. And while gripping and releasing the controls, she pondered his question. The field would be easier, but the forest more fun. Then again, when had she ever chosen fun over a better chance at making money? Now, it seemed.

"Forest works for me," she finally answered, nodding slightly. After the stress of two losses in a row, she needed a little fun. Open spaces hadn't been on her side lately, anyway. Pushing at one control and equally pulling at the other, she sent her Raptor carefully into the trees. "A regular 0992, I assume?" Each step taken was careful as she tried to avoid the large plants. Obviously, in such an battle field, she'd have the disadvanatge, but it wasn't like she wasn't willing to try. The Zoid stepped behind a cluster of trees that nearly shielded it, but its tail stuck out at the back. Not like it mattered anyway, with radars and all. "Whenever you're ready," she spoke into the com-link, reguarding the terrain and thinking of the best possible movements from this position. She would need to be tactical.
