Our guild as you can see is dying, people are leaving left and right. But we haven’t been defeated yet. Do you all remember when Melissa left, how enthusiastic we were and confident that we could continue the guild just as well as she had?
It is never easy loosing a leader and having someone else have to step up for the good of the guild and take control. Things have to get worse before they can get better. We mustn’t loose faith in this, even if this may have turned out harder than we thought. Tracy (Eriara), Maggie (dark_angel_32189), and Tricia (Lunaki3) can’t do it alone. Now that Tracy and Maggie say they are leaving we will have hardly any one to keep it going. Also the paper has been canceled. This is what really sparked me into really trying as hard as I can to save this place.
We need help. Please we need to keep this guild going to keep educating people on paganism, to keep Melissa’s dream alive, to keep all of our hopes and dreams alive.
If it wasn’t for this guild I don’t know what I would do. It is nice to have a place where I can freely talk about my beliefs among other believers. I honestly have no one eles in my life that I can talk to about this.
Don’t you feel this way? Don’t you have a reason to stay? Don't you want this place to live like it once did?
We need help, please, please volunteer to help out on something. Even if it is telling one person about the guild, even if it is donating 4 gold, anything will help. I’m going to start advertising the guild but I can’t haul this thing all on my own, neither can Tricia lead the guild with out help from all of us. I understand that we all have outside lives, hell I'm in high school, am in all PAP classes, and I'm highly active in the theater and orchestra. However I'm going to do all I possibly can to save us.
Please post suggestions for improvement, things you can do to help, and other comments.

good, I just hope that we will find more people to help than just us. Unless the two that want to leave decide not to leave.

I'll help in any way I can. I don't want this guild to die. We need something new that we can all participate in. I get busy but most of the time I still post once or twice a week.
Just tell me what I can do?

I enjoy this group because of the people that formed it and have participated here. It is a very friendly and open group. The first Pagan group I joined on Gaia had a lot of people who's life goal it seemed was to bash anyone who posted.
With that said, our group here is worth keeping. I have organized on-line and in person groups since 1998. Yes, I am an older adult who loves Gaia online. Mainly because I can dress up my character. smile My full time job is very stressful working with dying, ill, and homeless clients so I enjoy some light hearted fantasy in the evening.
The hardest thing about groups is that they change. But it's only hard if the coming and going is taken personally. Mainly what I've noticed is modern life is packed, just smoothered, with responsibility. There are many choices on how to spend a person's precious time. Entertainment, school, work, family, personal needs such as medical, and religion.
People just can't dedicate themselves one hundred percent to any one group, or nearly as much as a leader can. Also, it is easy to misjudge how much time we have versus how much time we'd like to have.
It may feel like the guild is dying, and I've seen the pain when people couldn't do as much as they liked or didn't feel supported. Well, it's interesting that such jobs very rarely provide verbal support. There's been times I didn't feel recognized because it wasn't said to me but as I got older I saw people's smiles and felt it in their hugs. Unfortunately, that type of communication is hard to convey over the internet.
So let me say that many times this group has brought a smile to my face and I appreciate what is offered here. Though, I am too busy with the Elodrym to offer my time, I can offer Gaia gold.
How much does it cost to run a guild? Please let me know.

It doesnt really cost anything to run a guild unless you do raffles and such. I have tried to do them but it seems like barely anyone participates so its almost not worth the effort. Do you think if I ran another raffle that people would participate? I very much love this guild because of all its nice people and its information.

Lunaki, seeing that school is about to let out, if someone can teach me how to make the paper I'll be glad to do it. With alot of time off I can make outlines for the months. I would like some help however, but if no one can I'll try to make do.

Sure. I could show you how to do it. (Melissa actually just used Paint) It might be difficult trying to get the subscribers back to the paper :/ But I figured that we dont really need the paper if all the info is in the Library.

its still good to have a paper though you know to recruite people. That is actualy how I found the guild. Don't worry this should all die down in a little while. Also I'm not the same person so hopefuly they won't give us that hard of a time.

How can members donate gold or raffle items to the guild?
Also, I tried buying the paper from the Fantasy Mule (avi set up just for that I think) but had trouble with the transaction. *shrug* If the paper get's going again, I'll subscribe.

Well my expertise is highly limited (mainly to Tarot) but I can write articles for the paper, I'm a good writer (I got honours in English this year) and I have bugger all else to do over the holidays. If it's helpful I can write a monthly Tarot article. Or I can do in depth articles on deities, I love finding out stuff about deitys and I love sharing my research even more. I pretty handy with photoshop too so if you need help putting the magazine together I can help out with that too.

Sure. It will be a little difficult starting back up this time but I think we might be able to do it. It will be much easier if the mule sets up the whole shop. Im good at making the trades and such for subscriptions. With Eriara I let her use the mule to send the PM out for the paper and I handled the money for the guild. Also, Guild members get the paper free. I got confused about that since people subscribed and became a guild member then I got lost. I will set up the shop next tuesday since I have lots of time then. I also have photoshop. Im ok at it but not that great.
