Was Paki sleeping? Looked like it. His sisters? Affirmative. Mommy? Looked like the case there too.
Nitesh lay on the floor of his family's den, looking at them all with the little sun that came in from the rising sun of the morning. For him, that was the time that he was supposed to wake up. Afterall, it was the best time to sneak off and start playing in the grass.
Playing was always fun!
Keeping his belly to the floor, the brown cub slithered and crawled across the den, pausing before he was out to check and see if anybody else had woken yet (he'd tackle them to play if they were a sibling, and probably run back to his spot if it was a parent), before he decided yes, it was safe to go outside.
So up he went, running out of the den with glee, out into the cold morning air, which put every movement of the cub screeching to a halt so he could shiver. BRR that was cold!
QUICK RECOVERY, and off he was again, his nose sniffing about in the grass in an attempt to find something, or someone, to play with. Mwa ha ha.

Kifijo thought he slept better when it was cold outside. It made him want to curl around his family more, sucking in their body heat (of course, giving some back, as well) and be lazy all day long.
However, his body must have thought he had enough sleep, for it woke him gently but firmly. He cracked open his eyes, seeing everyone still asleep. His back paws shuffled away from the bodies, letting him slip from underneath the cubs and Tana.
With a yawn he tried to keep quiet, he turned toward the cave opening, watching the cool air and a cub explore.
A cub that looked awfully familiar, somewhat like--
"Nitesh?"

It was as if somehow Nitesh KNEW that he was being looked at, as all actions ceased, and he lifted his head to look back at the den, eyes wide and ears perked up. Indeed, he WAS being watched.
No matter how far away (though currently he wasn't that far) he was from home, he would recognize that figure that was looking at him. Indeed, it was daddy.
"...."
Sitting in the grass, he grinned innocently, pondering if that would work on his father, then, after a moment, decided that it PROBABLY wouldn't. So, he went to plan B, which consisted of getting up, and RUNNING AWAAAAAAAAY. Not that it would work any better, when Kifijo was MUCH larger, and in turn, could run faster then Nitesh's tiny limbs would EVER carry him.
But he could still try, right?

Kifijo blinked as Nitesh grinned at him slyly before turning and promptly running as fast as he possibly could.
So, being the loving, gentle father he was to his cubs, he instantly followed, starting out at a slight trot before picking up the pace and easily catching up to his third son.
"Nut."
With that, he swung a paw--gently--at Nitesh's side, knocking him over and under his own feet.
Silly cub. It wasn't Kif's fault that they were stuck inside the cave all day--that was Tana's fault, being the protective little thing she was--but sure. They could have games once in a while.

It was then he decided he'd have to come up with better plans, as most of the ones Nitesh had come up with thus far? Hadn't really worked. At all.
Rolling a bit, until he ended up on his back, Nitesh stared up at his dad, stretching out his legs to try and paw at the large male's mane, though it was very much out of his reach; Fortunately that only meant he had to grow a bunch.
"Awwww.. but I don't wanna be it!" he protested. He was ALWAYS it. Everyone was better at that game then he was --though it had never been announced to have been a game of tag. Oh well.
Then, rolling over, Nitesh got up to his own paws again, shaking out his fur to get the water it had accumulated from the grass, out of it. He then tagged his father's paw, "You're it!", before running off again.

"It?" He repeated, blinking after his son galloped away.
"Oh. 'It.' Duh." He rolled his eyes playfully and quickly walked after Nitesh, peeking around the rocks--that became larger and larger as they trotted onward--that passed him, pretending to see if he can't find his son.
"Oh, Niteeeeeesh. Where are youuuu?" he called, miming a worried father while circling boulder after boulder.
This place wasn't new, exactly. But new to Nitesh.
He was heading towards the jungle, and the waterfall and pool.

Nitesh, however, had done his best to hide as well as he could, watching his father as he paced about looking for him from his hiding spot. Once he saw his father was walking off, he popped right out of hiding, and followed after male, attempting to mimic his stride.
Something quite difficult for Nitesh, since that required him to walk and used his brain at the same time; a task he hadn't yet mastered.
So quite often, he found himself falling over, stiffling a squeak, then popping right back up to his feet to follow again, having to run a few paces in order to catch up. He couldn't wait until he got bigger, then maybe he wouldn't have to work so hard to keep up.
He got tired of walk-mimicking after a while, though, and since there -was- a tail right in front of him, let out a little war-squeak and launched himself onto it.

"Nitesh, where are you--ah!"
Kifijo had just simply been walking along, looking for his son, when suddenly, his tail--his prized possession, as Tana loved to tie her own around it and vice-versa--was pounced upon.
He whirled his head around, raising an eyebrow at the 'sneaky' cub currently attatched to his butt.
"Excuse you. I don't really think I am food, so why are you trying to eat me, again?" he asked, turning so that his face was right in front of the cub's.

Staring up at his father innocently, Nitesh smiled, again the wide grin he'd used earlier to try and make everything better. "I'm right here~" he said first thing, just so his father's question wouldn't go unanswered on his account.
Staring at his father's face, he lifted a paw and pressed it against his nose, stucking out the tip of his tongue in a sort of adorable way. "I never said you were food either, pops." he pipped up in his own defense, before releasing the older male and dropping back into the grass, sitting there and staring up at the older male.
Daddy's were so silly.

Kifijo nodded, blowing air against his cub's face.
"I noticed you're right there. You're on my tail. How could I not notice you?"
He flicked his tail at the cub's nose, intent on tickling little Nitesh.
"Do you want to go to the waterfall, today? A bit of exploring?" Kif winked, feigning an adventurous feeling to get Nitesh to follow him and have some one-on-one time with his father.
These days, he was lucky to spend time with one or two cubs, let alone devot a whole day to each one per week.

Crinkling his nose, one of the chocolate cub's paws rose, pawing at the source of the air that assaulted him, in hopes to make it stop sooner then in it did in actuality. "Ummm.." Nitesh's brows furrowed together quickly as he thought about a way in which his father could have NOT noticed him where he was. ".. Well I -could- be invisale..." Though he seemed to butcher the word 'invisible'.
The attempt to tickle worked to the extent only of, however, making the cub sneeze, crinkling his nose again, then rubbing a paw on it with a tiny whine. Sneezing hurt.
"Like an adventure?!"
Nitesh ALWAYS wanted to go on adventures. He tried to drag his siblings out on them with him. They never wanted to go with him though.
Releasing his hold on his father's tail, Nitesh let out a squeal of joy, and went off running ahead, giggling. "'venture, 'venture, 'venture~"

"Sure, you could call it that--hey, wait up!" Kifijo trotted a few steps behind Nitesh, picking up the youngster's tail in his mouth.
"Lead on, explorer!" he said around the furry appendage, holding it like one would hold a leash or a reign.
Or, in this case, a lead. But Kif wasn't doing the leading. He was just along for the ride.
They passed through the jungle almost instantly; it had recently rained and the green leaves sparkled with remaining dewdrops while some dripped down and onto the ground in a rythmatic song.

There was a loud squeak produced from the cub as his running pace was suddenly knocked short by his inability to move very much farther from his father. Not that he'd complain badly for it.
Nitesh stopped walking for a moment to look back at his dad. Was this revenge for his OWN tail-assaulting? It sure felt like it, for sure. Giggling at Kifijo's muffled-ish voice, however, he recovered from the initial shock and started to trot off again, only with less speed in his pace.
As they walked through the jungle, Nitesh investigated everything within his ability to reach with the limit on him, nosing at nearby leaves, which would drip their dew onto his nose, which he would then crinkle up and shake to get the moisture off it.
Once they'd pass through the walk through of part of it, however, Nitesh made a funny face and looked back at his dad. ".. I don't know which way I'm supposed to be going..."

"Dat's teh ting 'bout splorin'," Kif said, still holding the tail in his mouth. "Yer not suppose' teh know where yer goin'."
He chuckled, letting go of the tail and making a show of spitting to the side. "You need a bath. I'm going to tell your mother that when we get back," he threatened.
But he headed towards the right, fully aware of where they were. Now, they were headed toward a little stream and the waterfall, so Nitesh could get a proper bath.

"Hey!" Nitesh protested, scrambling after his father obidiently anyways, while assuring himself mentally that he did -not- need a bath! (He wasn't GROWING anything in his fur yet... so he had to be doing -something- right...) However, he'd worry nothing more of it for now. Daddy wouldn't -really- tell mommy... right?
He hoped not at least.
Bounding between his father's paws, the little brown cub bounded off ahead, giggling, while still staying within eyeshot. He didn't want to go get himself LOST now.
