How about this for something to talk about...
If you could somehow manage to travel to anywhere in Faerun, where would you want to go to and why

Well since I in many ways consider myself rogueish or an outlaw, Calimport of course. Or perhaps Baldur's Gate. It's a huge, awesome place after all. But then again, the small town of Beregost is quite cozy as well. Not too big, and certainly not too small.

Icewind Dale (still haven't made it to Kuldahar yet), Shadowdale, Neverwinter, and Waterdeep.

Candlekeep. Its an innocent town and I would be safe, not to mention all the perfect literature.

Probably Silverymoon or Waterdeep though I wouldn't like being so close to Skullport.

I think Silverymoon, since it's supposed to be the sort of place where there are lots of different people that actually get along. Plus, it's a major center of learning, and it's not *too* far from Mithril Hall, which would also be cool.

i would want to go to Longsaddle, Spirt Soaring and Silverymoon. I want to go to Longsaddle to meet the Harpells, they sound so fun, trying to find solutions to everyday problems. Spirt Soaring because Cadderly put such an effort into it and your imagination can show you only so much. Silverymoon just because it would be cool to see so many didn't types of people, and to see Lady Alustriel.^^

man, I would never want to go to Icewind Dale, such an empty and backwater place, what could you posably find there exept for snow, dangerous things that live in said snow, and exquisite artwork carved on the skulls of fish?
and Faerun is tecnaclly just the one continent on a world called Toril. It's just that the greater majority of Forgotten Realms content comes from Faerun anyways, to the point where many fans don't even know of the existence of other places outside Faerun. <.<;

I have to say my favorite metropolises are Waterdeep and Calimport. Both places have such vastly different cultures, but are very similiar in structure. There he/she who has the most money rules, or that's how every game I've been in is.
But I also wouldn't mind living in Shadowdale. It's smaller and more rustic. I like the country anyway. lol Plus the atmosphere there could lead to lots of adventures!

Maybe Melvaunt, in moonsea. Most of the places i travel to when i'm a player, they either aren't in Faerun, or the DM made them up.
