I walked with you 'neath sun-bathed trees, climbed them, felt the grace and ease with which they swayed like waves in seas, All we need is each other, it seems.
I talked to you for hours on end, There in the shady river's bend, Words without meaning to the four winds we'd send, I could talk to you about anything, my friend.
I held dear thoughts of forever in my dreams, But alas, fate once so steady often leans Towards the forces that tear apart lives at the seams Happiness is not easily found, it seems.
I held your hand as the fight began, Our whole lives crushed and scattered like sand, It was almost too horrible to remember, and... I knew that here was where evil would land.
I fought with you, we thought it was right, And yet we accomplished nothing that night, Hatred and justice, mercy and fright, History is for the winners to write.
I rose with you from the blood and embers, Smoke fled to the heavens, a silent sender Of a message I knew I would always remember. Peace lies as cold as the heart of December.
Kirbette watched V for Vendetta and felt poetical.

Wow, that's, wow. I really like this. My favorite line was "Peace lies as cold as the heart of December."
I wish I would've watched that movie, but my parents wouldn't let me. evil they said it was too violent. sweatdrop (they treat me like a little kid sometimes, really ticks me off.)
Anyways, I really like this, it's nice and deep and I really like how the rhyming worked, it flowed nicely. Yep, good job. biggrin

thanks!
"Remember, remember the fifth of November, the Gunpowder Treason and plot; I know of no reason the Gunpowder Treason should ever be forgot."
really, I don't know why it's rated R. I mean, there's slight cursing and blood, right, but come on, it's...blood...no one cared. And erm, disturbing images. But I'm 14 and it didn't bug me, so if you're older, demand to watch it!
But don't mention Kirby *shrinks*

Yeah, seriously. If my parents knew about some of the stuff I watch when they're not around... sweatdrop
I might try my dad, he could care less about how much blood is in it, and blood doesn't bother me at all. Well, no matter, I WILL watch it, if I have to go to the video store and rent it myself.

Its rated "R" mainly due to the storyline. Controversial and all the stuff. I Love that movie.. and that line you said above Kirbs.
"Remember Remember The Fifth Of November..."
All in all Kirbs I really liked this. Not sure what else to say.. wink

That poem was amazing, Kirby.
-hurts Nevesaro-
I kid.
But, I loved V for Vandetta. One of the best movies...ever.
VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it's my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
My head was spinning at the end of that quote. Especially since we had the captions on and I was trying desperatley to catch all the V words.
