((For Elawi and Erick only, please dont post unless you have permission from me or DB))   Elawi shivered in the cold and yet she ventured from her warm teepee and her parents side. She needed to be alone, she needed to sing. It had become more to her than just a silly thing to do in her spare time away from the wise lesson her father had to teach. It had become her secret passion one she only shared with the birds of the forrest she lived in. She once was afraid of being in the forrest alone but after laerning from her brother and not everything is evil and out to hurt you she had gained her will to go out alone. Besides her freak like ways of singing had to be kept secret. She didnt want to be an outcast in her familiy or the soquili world because of it.
When she was quite sure she was alone she listened to the sounds around her for a melody. With the whistle of the wind through the almost bare yet snow drenched trees, the steady tweeting of a song bird, and the swishing sond of her own tail she had her melody, now the words.
"Winter whisp on the teepee's skin, Nustled warm to my closest kin. I will have no fear , for I know my family's near." Elawi sang with all she could but she just coudnt hit the notes she wanted to hear. She sighed abit then sang the words again wanting to get this part right before moving on.

Erik walked in to the fields singing a melodic and graceful tune, "The snow has fallen and the trees have gone dead. So if the cold pricks at me then how do I feel so warm inside? I have heard its said, that its a rare emotion that I shall confide..." he hummed. Something was off with himself, he wasn't this cheery most of the time. His thick accent beaming from him, as he heard another. His ears flickered as he went to the foal, spying a small female singing her heart out. It made him smile slightly and flinch at it later from what had happened the last time he had taken in a pupil.

Elawi kept on with her singing the same line till she felt she was as close to right as she was going to get. She thought of a new verse and begain to sing again, but something threw her melody off. In the back of her mind she had heard Erick's tune and it had mixed with her's she swished her tail in frustration trying to figure out what threw her melody off. She perked her ears slightly and heard movment near by. Turning towards the sound she spotted the black stallion that was looking at her. She had turned in time to see his flinch. Elawi yelped lightly tucking her lion like tail between her legs and pinning her ears to her head she trimbled before him. Someone now knew her secret and he had fliched at it or so she thought. ~That stallion thinks Im a freak, I knew I shouldnt have been tweeting, now he will tell everyone.~ Elawi thought as she looked the strange wind stallion over. She summoned all her courage to say something to him, it wasnt like he to speak to quickly to soquili she didnt know.
"......Im sorry dont tell anyone, please. I know its weird it just feels so good to tweet like the birds." Elawi didnt really know what to call what she was doing so tweeting like the birds was he way of saying singing.

He smiled gently, "No mi petite. I shall tell no one." He had been listening to her song and he hummed its pitches back to her his brow raising slightly to see what she would do. She had an amazing gift...the gift of singing. Not many had such a talent at such a young age. His silver orbs glanced to her, he knew why she wanted it to hide it. They would think she was kind of freak show like they had he. But no one here had bothered him...just back home. "Tis a gift you have."

Elawi straitened up slightly and watched the stallion closly, tilting her head ever so slightly as he begain to hum her song.
"A....gift? Its ok that I tweet? Your humming is the closest Ive ever heard another soquili get to tweeting....do you tweet to?" Elawi all but lost her fear as she spoke to the strange stallion befor her. The excitment of the thought that there was someone like here in this world was enough to make her want to leap with joy.

"Of course its okay you tweet," he had to smile, "Though its usually translated as singing, tweeting works." He looked to her and rose a brow. "I did...I do. Sing I mean, every once in awhile. Not as much as I used to." His tail flickered as he watched her, she seemed like she wanted to learn but was he up to be a teacher again. Then again this time he would not fall in love, she was a colt. He was a teenager when he met...he sighed softly. Even thinking her name.

Elawi gave a bold smile, she wasnt a freak after all.
"Singing?I like that word better. May I please hear you sing,stallion? Oh oh Im sorry sir my name is Elawi." Elawi said bowing lightly to the strange stallion she had forgotten her manners in her excitment.
She eyed him lightly wondering what the stallion was thinking about.

He laughed a full hearted laugh one he had not let out in such a long time, this little one was quite adorable. "I suppose," he hummed a slight pitch and sang a soft melody, made up from thought:
Wind, oh why does thoust whisper in my ear,
taunting and teasing for when I look you are not here.
He would only give her snipet, though most of the time others begged for more. His voice was rich and almost all vibrato. Yet he knew how to contain it and make it the most delicate of sounds. "Pleasure lady Elawi, I am Phantom." He gave a swift bow looking to her soft eyes.

Elawi tilted her head as he laughed curious to what she had done to make him laugh. She smiled her tail swinging along with his melody.
Eyes glittering with happiness from hearing another soquili sing. His voice was was rich and deeper than her's but beautiful non the less.
"I love your voice phantom. It so much more........something then mine."
Elawi giggled abit she wasnt sure what to call the difference in his voice but it was better than her's. Her tail stopped swishing as she went into thought of the difference and wondering how she could get her voice to be smoother or more put together than what it was now. Elawi was still a shy type though the fact that she had said this much to him was amazing.
As the moments passed she realized once more that she was having problems saying more to him. Elawi simple stared at him almost as if trying to speak with her eyes. She wanted to know more about singing but
dare not ask.

Erik watched the young filly and he could see that she was very much intrigued with music as was he. His silver eyes went soft for her, his ears flickered forward as he listened to the sounds around him and to her if she were to speak but in him he knew she would not. "Thank you," he replied recieving her compliment. She was darling, "I've been practicing a lot longer than you have ma petite. But perhaps some day, some day you to will get to be as good if not more." He had a strong confidence for others and sometimes he wished it in himself but things did not always go as planned. "I could perhaps teach you some of the things I know, lady Elawi?" He watched her, "That is if you would let me, be your teacher that is."

Elawi jumped a little into an excited position her tail flicking into the air as she celibrated what she had heard.
"Oh sir I would love that! I want to know all I can about singing, I had hoped you would agree to teach me more, but it wouldnt have been right for me to ask you for such a thing. Can we please start now?!!!" Elawi said dancing inplace abit starting to get rather comfortable about being herself around this stallion.

He looked to the little girl in awe, she was so excited to have a teacher. One with such passion for music should, and he knew most about music as he grew up around it, learned it, taught it and loved it as well. "I suppose mademoiselle, is their anything you would like to learn in paticular? We could perhaps make our way up to that goal if you do ave one." His silver eyes watched her with a patience that never came around to often in anyone Yet, in Erik he seemed to have it rather well around some others. And then there was that small few he could not stand and would rather be shot than been around with them.

"Anything you can teach me Im eager to learn. I know my goal I can not reach in one day. So where ever you think is best to start sir!" Elawi was right she couldnt reach her goal anytime soon or for that matter it was impossible. Her secret goal was to sing with such beauty that evil would just flee from it. Or was that truly possible, well only time would tell but for now she wanted to learn everything and anything Erick had to teach her. She pranced lightly in place excited to learn but still wanting to at proper.

Erik rose a brow and shrugged it off for a minute, "Alright, but everything I can teach you cannot be learned in one day either." he looked to her seriously. "Do you wish to continue your lessons through out, or just one and call it a done deal. Because I take singing in a very serious matter mademoiselle Elawi. Though your talents exceed most I have seen, my son had the same talent as you and I." he nodded. He watched the young female carefully as he awaited her answer before he continued with anything. He knew she was a foal but he wanted her to understand that this was a comitment.

"I wouldn't think so." Elawi said with a smile flicking her tail.
"Singing is important to me I want to know all I can. I know better then thinking I can learn it all in one day though that would be just dandy!" Elawi said with a hop and a giggle.
"I want to continue lessons as long as you are willing to teach them to me."
