Wandering around the templegrounds prooved to be a quite tedious task in deed. As long as the eye could see there was nothing but sand, and stones...not a life in sight. Frowing her brows, the Maluess made her ways inside to one of the numerous gardens equipt with a fountian as she gazed down at her reflection, grinning. "Finally, a sight for sore eyes." She coo'ed, chuckling daintly as her caramel hue'd eyes scanned her surroundings. Nothing.

Pacing to and fro as her perfectly petite and slender, in her eyes and mot males, frame moved elegantly with each step; she tossed her head back impatiently. Never had she been so utterly and completely bored, not even tired enough to take a nap or hungry enough to satisfy a craving. Biting her lip gently, there was one thing she could try...and of course she was devious enough to pull it off. Standing with a new air of confidence, she lifted her muzzle into the warm air and let out a horrified screech of a yell...almost as if she was under attack. Shaking her muzzle, her body went into a performed shake, widening her eyes as if terrified out of her hooves. Casting a glance to the enterance, all she had to do was wait and see if anyone took the bait as she grinned inwardly at her acting.

Of course someone took the bait - Brayden could hardly bear even the inkling of an idea of what was happening to the malu on the end of a such a shriek. He was not too far away, close enough that the volume of the noise caused him to start visibly. His muscles tensed and it was within a fraction of an instant that he was galloping across the stone, leaving little time for any other sort of reaction. It sounded as though someone was in need of help, and he didn't care who or what he would have to fight off to set things right.

The sound of his hooves against the stone echoed down the halls, though his paws hitting the ground were as silent as if they were on grass. It didn't take long for him to slide to a stop at the entrance to a garden, widened eyes snapping toward the first movement he saw. It was the gentle breathing of an attractive maluess that caught his eye and he paused. She didn't appear to be in danger. Glancing about the garden, he entered carefully, "Sorry to disturb you, m'Lady, but did you happen to hear that scream? Or know where it came from?" His fur was still bristling with the adrenaline rush as he looked about for a source, but his eyes continued to roam back to her.

Delightful! Someone had fallen for it, and with a joyous yelp which could only be heard in her mind, Eclair returned to her act with vigor. Feigning teary eyes, she slowly turned her head to catch this rather dashing male's eyes, slowing her shaking ever so slightly. "Oh, dear sir, that scream was from I. I was so terribly frightened!" she spoke wearily, trotting over as she boldly nuzzled her head against his neck. "It was horrible, to be confronted with a creature so hideous, luckily your strong approaching hoofbeats must have scared it off."

Taking a step back, she turned her 'innocent' gaze up to his own, sparkling with a sense of admirationg and appreciation. "I am in debt to your nobility, dear knight." Eclair swooned slightly, cocking her head to the side as she shut her lids halfway, a smile spread over her lips. "I am Eclair....may I know the name of my saviour?"

A blush rose, unbidden but quickly as she approached and nuzzled his neck. He didn't pull away, though his muscles tensed for a moment before being forced to relax. She was harmless, and alluring in her innocence. Brayden didn't know any better and had very little experience with maluesses he had not been raised with. Though a part of him was skeptical, the lot of him was won over by her show of fear. The question of what the creature had been died in his throat, shifting instead to, "Then you're safe. It should hardly return if hoofbeats scared it away."

He smiled to meet her own curling lips, meeting her alluring expression with a slight, proud stiffening of his shoulders. She was stroking his ego, he knew it but couldn't fight off it's effects anyway. "I'm Brayden. It is a pleasure to meet you, Miss Eclair."

Eyeing the movement of his muscles under his luxurious blue pelt, she could tell he was tense around her...like most mateless males were. The differences were easy to see, and Eclair felt confident enough that she could even do it if she were blind. Pasting a sweet expression on her face, her tail wagged merrily as she closed her eyes when she spoke softly on smooth vocals. "Heh, I do feel much safer now that you are here, Brayden."

Blessing her caramel orbs with light as she glanced up to him, her head took a small dip in a formal manner. "I am pleased to make your aquaintance, then. Please do not find me rude, yet may I intrude in your company for a while? I am still worried to if the creature might return if it sees I am alone and once again weak." Really having no sense of restraint, she moved her body to slide against his own ever so lightly, as if fearing a moment if she was not at his side for protection.

He tensed once more to stop the shiver that threatened to run down his spine as he felt her slide gently over his form - so subtly it might have been unnoticable had he not been so alert. Shaking his antlers, his smile remained easy and confident as he spoke, "I'd be honored to accompany you, Eclair, and keep you safe from whatever it was that frightened you." He felt like he was talking too much and he quieted, giving her a curt but stately nod of approval. Of course he would keep her safe!

Lifting his head slightly, he hoped he was the perfect picture of a hero before he reached out to tentatively nudge her cheek reassuringly, "Should we walk elsewhere? Perhaps it will be unwillingly to leave the garden?"

"Oh!" Eclair breathed, seemingly genuine excitement written across her delicate facial features. "You are much too kind then, Brayden. I am very glad it was you who came to my aid." She purred, or as much as a malu could purr with her vocals. Closing her eyes with a light giggle as his nudged her cheek with muzzle, she nodded eagerly. Even though she really had no clue on the behaviours of her made up monster, surely his rational words were correct if it was of flesh and blood.

"That would be wise, as I have never seen this creature before untill I came here. Lets make haste...my hearts racing already at the reminder it could still be closeby." She whimpered, turning her head away from him as if to check behind her....as she couldn't help the smirk caressing her lips. Once she felt she could hold her front, Eclair turned with the same worrysome expression on her face, giving his shoulder blade a nuzzle before walking out of the exit. "Where do you suppose we go? I am not too familiar with the temple as of yet."

His brow furrowed in concern as he watched her, smile fading slightly with worry until he nodded slowly with a returning grin. Whatever it had been, he didn't understand why it had scared her so thoroughly. He hadn't supposed that anything harmful could live in the temple, but then again he hadn't searched even a quarter of it. Who knew what lay in the shadows of the old place? Who knew what Gods and Goddesses hid here?

Following her closely out the exit, he shook his head ruefully, "I'm afraid I'm not too familiar with it either. I would suppose we might go the way I had come from. It leads to the outskirts of the temple, into the light?" He looked to her as if for approval, wanting to be sure that she still felt safe.

Oh wonderful, the desert which she had just come from....oh well. At least with Brayden there, it would be less of a bore then before. Thinking about it for a moment or two, she turned to the handsome male and nodded joyfully. "Oh yes, the light would set me at ease. Today is also a nice day, not too hot...don't you agree?"

Walking in a leisurely pace along side this knight of a malu, if she were anyone else....she probably would have fallen head over heels for such a behavior in a male. However...she was not, and although she did find him very attractive, she refused to settle for a single male....it simply wasn't very fun in her mind. "So...can I safely assume someone as handsome as you are has already been captivated by a Maluess?" Eclair grinned ever so faintly, deciding to enjoy the answer...and possibly watch him squirm. Yet somehow, his confidence made her think otherwise.

He would hope that he would provide her some entertainment outside of the temple, if he knew her apprehension of the boredom that awaited in that direction. As it was, he smiled and nodded, "It is a beautiful day, the perfect temperature with the perfect skies. It will be enjoyable."

Glancing behind him, as if to be sure that the creature wasn't following them, he looked back to her with an unwavering grin. When she inquired after his relationships, a soft blush rose to his skin but it was no where near as deep as previous episodes. "I have been captivated by a few." He had actually only met one other maluess, and she had been captivating for ways different than Eclair. Nevertheless, he found this earth-hued female to be intriguing.

"Mmmm, I do hope it to be so! Perfect days shared with perfect company is like a little piece of heaven on earth." Eclair gave Brayden a wink of her caramel orb, casting her eyes foreward once more. Surely they were close to the outdoors, as the heat seemed to increase in the air with each step the pair took. Of course, her inward mood soured at the mention of another captivating female in this male's life...even though in all logic it shouldn't have been of her concern. Although such emotions was not jealous....it was more in tune with knowing your enemy...as it gave her great pleasure to discover what made each individual click towards another.

"Oh, how delightful!" She coo'ed, her fascade uncracking; "Do tell me more about such females. It would be pleasant to know what other malu's reside around these parts." She inquired, planning to listen intently to the information if he decided to indulge in her. Although she was not one for abusing information....it was always nice to have stored away in case it was needed.

His blush deepened and he looked forward as she spoke, chuckling softly to himself as he walked forward. "I agree full heartedly." He felt the air warming as well, and the stone bringing warmth back to his paws. The outdoors would be wonderful, and he stretched his shoulders as he walked in anticipation of the beautiful weather.

When she asked about the other female, he tensed slightly. He felt a little unsure talking about a maluess he hardly knew - especially when he wanted to get to know her better. Frowning, he hesitated before speaking carefully, "She's charming, and entertaining. Independent, and helpful." The smile returned, raising his eyes to the sun as the reached the end of the hall.

Smirking as he blushed, she enjoyed the notion all too much, it was one of those rushes to her. Listening as he spoke hesitantly, he was wise not to go too in detail about this other Maluess he fancied. As his head turned up to the sun, she took the moment to leand her muzzle up to his ear, whispering heatedly, "She sounds just like you."

A moment later, the femme took off in a prance out into the desert, pretending to embelish in the warm summer rays. Feeling the sand sink under her paws, the sheer heat of the granules made her feel like dancing to not burn the pads of her paws...yet of course she could get used to it; so she skidded to a hault. Turning her attention back to Brayden, she cocked her head to let her creamy locks fall over her eyes as a grin crossed her maw. "Well...will you join me, Brayden?"

His blush returned, dark as his gaze dropped to the ground to concentrate on not tripping over his own paws. Clearing his throat, he carefully paused before responding gently, "Why thank you, Eclair." He only then let the shudder pass down his coat and once more picked his head up to enjoy the bright sunlight.

Though the male followed the God of Rain, he did find some enjoyment in the hot, dry days between showers. He watched her prance over the sand for a few minutes out of the corner of his eye. She was truly exquisite, and he wished he could better keep his wits about him while around her. He'd have to try harder. When she spoke to him, he turned his attention fully to her. Her expression elicited a smile from himself as he nodded, "Of course." Stepping across the burning sands, ignoring the brief pain before his pads shifted from the cool stone of the temple to the temperature of the desert.

Keeping her head inclined to the Brayden, Eclair observed his every well placed paw on the sande...such a noble creature he was. His body moved like one would expect from a knight like individual, as even the tempress couldn't help but be amoured with him. Once the male was at her side once again, the maluess allowed her head to elegantly swoop over to the endless mounds of sand before them. "It is beautiful, despite its bleak surface." The comment was absent, yet she didn't mind how it sounded in the ears of others.

"So, Brayden....who is it that has spoken to you...who is the divine that you follow?" She coo'ed, taking the step forwards to brush her body under his chin; flicking her hair back with a toss of her head. She enjoyed the scent his pelt emitted...the smell of right after it rained despite the heat and dryness of the desert. Yes...her God was pleased to indulge in this one.
