I'm new here (n00b) and I'm wondering what CSS is and how to get/make it for a custom profile, I've seen Yuzi_K's profile and thats what I mean by custom... can someone help me?
I have NO clue what CSS is and how to use it and everything.... I've read the sticky but it left me clueless...

Pages on the web are built with HTML (or XHTML, which is just a stricter version of HTML). CSS is the way HTML is styled. It's what sets colors, fonts, background images, etc.- anything style related basically. (If you read up on it, there's a big standards movement where everything style related is supposed to be done only with CSS. None of your HTML- which you don't have to worry about on Gaia since the HTML is supplied for you- should contain any sort of styling.)
Like I said, Gaia supplies the HTML and we can take CSS and style that HTML. I've found it's easiest to know at least the basics of HTML, but it's not completely necessary.
I learned CSS by starting here. I'm not real sure where to start other than to point you there. It teaches you CSS, but also has some tools that lets you make changes to CSS and see how it affects the HTML (for example: this).
I say give that a read; it won't take very long, and if you have any questions feel free to post here and I'll do my best to answer them.
Also, don't worry if it seems a bit confusing- there's a lot to learn, but it's a lot of fun once you get it down.
