Okay, so the other day I went to Gamestop to buy the movie Chicago and after looking for thirty minutes I found it. Well, I go to the check out and the guy was like, "Chicago *Gives Moo Ell a weird look* doesn't that have nudity in it?" I said, "No.." He said, "Do you look at pornography?" ((That really creeped me out)) I camly said "No." Then the check out lady that was there said "You need to be over 17 to buy this." I said, "But it's rated PG-13." The guy looked at the DVD and said why it was rated PG-13 and I told him that it said nothing about nudity and he still wouldn't let me get it unless I got my parents to buy it for me. So I had to get my step-mother to get it for me. -_-;; Some people.
Discuss if anything like this happend to you.

That was stupid. I would've plopped the DVD on the counter and said "You just lost a customer for not obeying your own damn country laws. ********." And walked off.
Well, I'd do that, minus the cussing. Because I don't like conflict. D:
Plus I'm 19, so that'd never happen anyway.

D; But I can find the movie anywhere else but there and I really wanted it. D;

It's called THE INTERNETTTT.
I am pretty much a netflix'er now. I rent videos, copy and burn them, send them back. My Queue has over 150 movies in it. xd
I consider it the "more legal" version of downloading s**t.
But for buying DVDs in general, I usually do Amazon. They're pretty good with prices(especially for anime).

That has happened to me before except it was a CD. They were all, "How old are you?" Lou, "I'm 17." "You don't look 17. CAn I see some ID?" Lou, "Yeah, sure. -hands them her ID card." "When was your birthday?" Lou, "April 29th." "Well we don't believe you. So have your parents come in and get it for you." Lou, "Fine, you jerks!. I showed you my ID card and you still don't believe me. See if I ever shop here again." Check out guy. -blank stare- Lou, -walks out the door-
So I went to another store. xD

I wanted to get my brother Metal Gear AC!D for his birthday. So I go a get it and am about to buy it when they ask me for ID, since it was rated M and only 17yrs+ can buy it. So I had to go get my brother to show his idea and I had to ask the people behind the counter to hide the game. xD Twas silly, really.

Went to go to Jackass 2... they wouldn't let us in cause the guy we went with turned 18 THAT DAY! It was his birthday and their reason was that he might not actually be 18 until later in the night.

That's a store policy, and the ratings ont he games are there fro a reason. It's not the store's or rating systems' fault that society doesn't pay attention to the safety guidelines we have and blame the video game companies for violence and s**t. It's stupid because Parents DO have to go through all the "You realise this is rated blah for blah reasons, and you're buying it for blah underage kid.." they don't pay attention and blame video game companies on how violence is affecting their children. The effects of video games(or non-effects) aside, it's the parents' fault for not even paying attention to what they buy their kids. rolleyes Sorry, that's my rant for the day.

I realize that. Though I just found it funny that my brother had to show ID for a game that I was buying that the people behind the desk had to hide for such reasons. lol
