Is it wrong to wish for someone you don't like to fail in life. I know these four people at my school and they are all rude and annoying especialy towards me. I just want to know your opinion on this. sweatdrop

There was one person I couldn't stand so much that I was actually wanting for him to die.
Hate, by the way, is an AWFUL feeling. Never, ever, ever let yourself fester up to the point of hate.
It wasn't until I stopped praying that God would change him and started asking for my own heart to be changed that I was able to accept and love this person as I should. Yes, wanting bad things for others is a sin. You should ask God for help from it. *hug*

That's had not to do.Ok,sure you dislike them.But you should 1.Try not to hate them.Hate is a very strong word. 2.Your right,you souldn't pray for them to fail.God wouln't grant it anyways.

Sometimes it can be fun to just wish for others to fail, infact i have alot of rivalrys myself. However i have a deep respect for all my rivals and enjoy the competition. In your case however, i do think that there is something not quite right.

It says in the bible to love your neighbor and pray for your enemies or something like that. It can be very hard not to dol that because most of the time these people are your enemies is because they're mean to you and you think, what is even the point of parying for them? Well I say, prayt your hardest, because prayer changes things!

God says to love your enemies... not just people that you like, not just people that you know are good people. Your ENEMIES! So even if you dislike these people, pray for your heart to be changed towards them. Pray that God will give you a spirit of forgiveness for whatever wrong they've done you. And pray that you'll have the wisdom and patience to stop yourself any time you feel like punching their face in! (i constantly have to pray for that! but it does help to count to ten, and think about what Jesus did when he got crucified. He just wanted what was best for them, and for God to have mercy on them! And, think how pathetic your problems are with those people compared to what Jesus had to face! I'm not trying to make you feel like those issues aren't important in God's eyes, because they certainly are! Just be careful about throwing things out of proportion.) biggrin

if you wish for them to fail in life, you would be sinning, just pray for them and let God soften there hearts.
Besides, there is this man who is very wise to say Love your Enemies. Because they are the ones who taught you what is bad.
