ive seen probably 50 topics on easy songs, but lately iv'e been having a craving that easy songs can't fulfill; it's like going to a club and not getting any! i need something challenging to quench my thirst for greatness. so what are some good songs with awesome bass riffs that i can show off and that are probably downloadable on power tab.

Try playing YYZ by Rush.
Or Tempus Fugit by Yes.
and if all else fails, make something up.

I would say try something by Mudvayne, some of their basslines are pretty bitching. And also check out some Les Claypool.

For Iron Maiden, try Rime of the Ancient Mariner. That's a fun one.

Personally, I like For The Greater Good of God on A Matter of Life and Death. I cover that with my band, it's awesome.

Anything Rush is going to be fairly challenging. And with Guns N Roses, most of their songs are tuned a half-step down, so keep that in mind. Maybe some The Who? They say John Entwhistle(Despite my mangling of his name) is quite good, though i've not attempted any.

If all else fails, Go with The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Most people would say that he's one of the most talented Bass Players currently alive and still playing.

At least, that's what I say.

I like most of the new album. It's a little repetative. But it's good. "The Legacy" Is my favorite.

John Entwistle is indeed one of the greatest bassists to have ever lived... The bass in The Who is great... I'm fixing to try and play some more of their stuff today... "Boris the Spider" isn't very flashy, but fun...

John Entwistle was an awesome bass player dude, plus he plays with golden strings a warwick buzzard! and i really hate gnr, and sweet child o mine is'nt hard, that was one of the first songs i learned. im learning alot of rush, but sometimes i feel it is pointless because i dont know anyone who can play guitar like alex lifeson.

You'd also need to find a Neil Peart.

Try some Primus/Les Claypool songs.

Punkis usually simple but the bass player Matt Freeman from rancid does some pretty awsome bass solo's. Try their song Maxwell Murder. The bass solo is very fast (he plays with a pick though). That or red hot chille peppers.

John Entwistle is inarguably awesome.
If Jesus played bass, he'd sound like John Entwistle
