  ================================= It was miserable day due to the clouds covering the sun and the skies are grayish and dreary while the snow contiunes to drift down to the ground, contributing to rising level of snow blanket on the ground. The sound of snow crunching under the hooves of this particular silverish stallion with black stripes revebrates in the silent atmosphere. Zahariah walks across the desolate meadows that is virtually empty except for soquilis or creatures that is specifically adapted to the winter atompshere skittering away from him. He is not sure where he is heading to but he just want to flee from the cold weather and find a shelter with water and food nearby.

It has certainly been a cold harsh winter so far. Maverick stood under a patch of trees on the edges of the forest as the snow fall among the treetops. At least Maverick wouldn't be covered in too much snow. Not only had it been so brutally cold, but it had also been a lonely winter. With the freezing bitter climate, Maverick had to put his search for a new friend on hold. It was much too cold to go out looking. Instead, he hoped someone would come find him.

Zahariah didn't notice that he was covered from head to tail with thin layer of the snow and he turns his head toward the forest, knowing that so many soquilis have took refugee in there along with the volcanos but he doesn't want to take his chances with volcanoes. So he did what every other normal soquili would do, he broke out in gallop toward the forest, spotting a brown with black stripes soquili nearby. He whinnies loudly before he moves toward Maverick while his body shook, sending the snow flying off his body.

"What in the...," started Maverick as a pile of snow ran towards Maverick. The pile shook rapidly, tossing the snow all over the place. A pile of snow slammed into Maverick, pushing him a few steps backwards, catching himself as he stumbled.
"Watch it," said Maverick a bit aggressively. Maverick glared at the pile of snow to see that it was none other than a Soquili. The Soquili looked rather bizarre, but it had stripes! Maverick grew a little excited, as well as a bit embarassed about his initial reaction.
"Sorry, this weather has gotten me rather irritated," said Maverick. "My name is Maverick."

Zahariah grunts as he accidently slammed into Maverick, he stumbles backward little dazed because the snow was covering his face so he couldn't see anything. He flushes in embarassment as Maverick snapped at him before he narrows his molten eyes at Maverick to make sure another stallion know that he is not easy to push around. He puffs his chest up to make himself look little more bigger but the strength is not any of his problems.
He clears his throat as he smiles induglently. "Apologies on my part, I didn't realize I have so much snow on me and I accidently ran into you. I am Zahariah, Maverick. you can call me Riah or Za." He says in friendly manner.

"Hello Zaharia," said Maverick with a weakly confident smile. Maverick looked around, a bit akwardly. "It is alright, I understand this weather makes it quite difficult to see correctly. You must be freezing, come, we should venture deeper into the forest, it should be warmer there."

Zahariah nods slightly as he shakes off the residue of the snow. "We need to keep moving to make sure our body don't get frozen. We should move more deeper into the forest where it is closer to the volcano." Zahariah says in 'I think I know what I am talking about' voice while flicking his tail back and forth. He began moving into the forest without waiting for Maverick's answer. Every minute he waits, every minute he is closer to death.

Maverick followed after Zaharia slowly, trotting through the heavy piles of snow.
"Wait up!" said Maverick as he chased after Zaharia. "You don't want to leave me out alone to freeze now, do you? We need to stay with each other so we can help each other. It's a natural instinct to want a companion when your body feels threatened."

Zahariah slows down his pace so Maverick could catch up and he glances at him. "Yeah. We can huddle up together and move at same time." He suggests while he contiunes to walk at almost snail speed because the amount of the snow on the ground is sapping his energy and he need to store it along with staying near another male for a warmth. "What are you doing so far away from the volcano?" He says through the chattering teeth

Huddle...together? Maverick was rather taken back by the idea. Maverick wasn't very comfortable with the idea of being so close to another Soquili, especially one he had just met. However, it may be needed due to the climate. Maverick smiled akwardly and slowly approached Zahariah.
"Heh, sure," said Maverick akwardly. "I'm wasn't feeling all that cold. Besides, there are so many Soquili there, it makes me feel uncomfortable. I'd rather be feeling uncomfortable by myself in the cold than being uncomfortable with a large group of Soquili."

Zahariah wasn't the fan of huddling with another soquili he just met.. and male one at that. He could see that Maverick wasn't up for that idea but they both knew that it was necessary if they need to survive through this harsh weather. He clears his throat as he glances at Maverick.
"Well, just to make this clear to you.. I don't want to do this but since we BOTH need to survive and get through this... well yeah. I don't think there is large group of soquilis where I am heading.. but if there is.. it will be an advantage for us because more bodies equal more warmth." He conversationally says as he scoots closer to Maverick very slowly.

"Heh, well, I suppose you are right," said Maverick. "I just don't feel comfortable with other Soquili around, I tend to like being by myself, especially when given the option between that or spending time with a Soquili that is, unnatural. You've seen them, the Soquili that are blue, green, pink, black with neon sparkles. They make me uncomfortable."
Maverick sighed. Oh, he had a feeling he was going to have to step outside his comfort zone to appease the stallion. Maverick wasn't that cold, he was used to the cold weather, but he did know that whether or not he felt cold, it was undeniably chilly out and he would need to find warmth. His mother had once taught him that he could keep his body warm by staying active. Perhaps a run will warm him?
"How about we race?" asked Maverick. "If we run, it will keep our bodies active and can warm our body heats. We can race to the mountain so we will be warm when we get there even."

Zahariah walks in the silence while pondering his current situation before he turns his head toward Maverick. He looks like he is arching his eyebrow at him before he looks at his own body. "Am I unnatural? as far as I am aware, they are still soquilis.. they bleed if we bite them, they cry if something bad happen to them.." He shrugs as he flicks his tail back and forth while his body visibly shivered.
"I like your idea, Maverick. On three... " Zahariah positions himself in racing stance. "One... two... THREE!!!" He shouts as he took off running without glancing back at another stallion.

Maverick chased after Zahariah, catching up quickly. Maverick ran a little past Zaharia, but then reduced his speed down equal to Zahariah's, so they can run at the same pace for a bit before Maverick out runs him.
"You are not that unnatural," said Maverick. "You have stripes, which to me are a symbol of being natural. Although your coloring, it seems bizarre. Out of this world, but still familar in an odd way."
Maverick then galloped faster, outrunning Zaharia by several yards.

Zahariah allows his legs to stretch out across the snowy ground as he races against Maverick, his long hair streaming behind him. He contiunes to run as Maverick runs up just slightly past Zahariah and he is little envious of his easiness to run really fast. He will have to train himself so he could run more faster. "Perhaps we are 'brothers' by stripes?" Zahariah suggests as he watches Maverick outrun him and he tries to catch up by urging his legs to move more faster.
