For this game's GM appointing, I beg of the vice captains to decided the next GM amongst themselves. Originally, I though mori should do this, but he said if it was anyone's position, it was yours and not his.
I've had my past applications voted for by a few people before, which makes me extremely lucky. I at least know someone looked at mine, but alot of people probably didn't get a single read, let alone vote.
As we all know(Don't deny it), there is a core group of popular, famous (Or infamous) tight friends, most of whom are from game one or two. This in crowd is so in, they almost play their game on an entirely separate level, while the rest of the users usually just follow the trends. This group is tightly knit, and will usually only vote for someone in this group. If you look, we've never had a GM that wasn't in said group.
So, my point is, I trust the vice-caps to be highly fair and objective in their judgment of who should be GM, and would happily accept any decision they made. And so, for sake of fairness and balance, I would like to see who they choose as GM, as opposed to public vote. Even if just for this one game.

I find a flaw in your reasonings, Takazawa. The VCs are also part of said infamous group. Plan = failed.

You want Siamese, IHD, Monkey and I to pick.
I dont think that would go over so well.
I do like the idea of anonymous voting though. Each entry gets a number and people vote on that. Then we can take the top 3 or so and do another vote.
Just my idea.

Just my idea. 3nodding I agree. Thats how Zae did it the first time and it worked out well.
If the v.c's picked a gm we would be soooooo biased in choosing its not even funny xd At least me and Siamese and Monkey would be. I dunno about IHD.

As Belle said, most of the VC are the /center/ of that group (no offense to you guys, it just means you're cool rofl )
I'd love to go back to anonymous entries, so that the actual writing is judged rather than the writing

I'd love to go back to anonymous entries, so that the actual writing is judged rather than the writing Dear god I love your avi. It's what I wanted an avatar I made and wore for years to look like. And that will work as long as thewre's no PMing like there was last time. I don't know how we could prevent the in crowd just PMing eachother and telling them who's who.

We dont pm, we tell each other on skype ^-^
But still, even if the "in crowd" votes for each other, there arent enough of them to outweigh everyone else's votes.

///+ Buzz Bro... +///
I see what you're saying and I must say that I agree, people who have been here longer are more popular and will therefor receive more votes
I just got this GREAT idea, that might just be crazy enough to work
all the people writing stories can send one person their entries, like for instance myself. Then I chose 6 people at random who would be willing to read all the entries or 10 and then we can split them up and have each group read a couple, and then pick their 3 favorites and the top 3 out of each group will be chosen and then I can switch the top 3 between the 2 groups and then have them pick the best in each group and then those 2 would be displayed to everyone here and everyone can choose.
I dunno if that would work though... but I just thought I'd throw that idea out there sweatdrop

We SHOULD do it annonymously.
Like everyone sends their applications to someone who is not applying, that person makes a thread, posts a seperate app in each post, blah blah blah, everyone votes by post #, and the person who made the thread doesn't get to vote. It would be fair... and as for the "in" crowd telling their friends which is theirs and to vote for it, a newbie who is a superb writer could do the exact same thing and beat them out.
That way is probably the most fair. And since I never apply for GM, I'd be willing to help with or make the thread. If noone had any objections of course.

gonk *kicks writing muse* Go the hell away. I wanna plaaay firrst. (Seriously, I'm finally back into my writing-ish-ness, and now you're all tempting me. D: So... *goes and locks writing muse in a closet until she gets to play a game* Well, at least if I really want to, my muse is alive now xD)
As for the whole voting idea, *agrees* It shouldn't be a matter of who's popular, or who you know, it should be who's the best at whatever it is.
S'like school elections, It's a popularity contest, and It's really not how it should be. 3nodding

Your voting system was never based on writing integtrity or storyline in the first place? Wtf?
Edit:
Why would you guys want a popular person to be a GM if you knew their writing was going to suck? Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose of having a fun game?
