(( AIM RP log ^^ )) The girls were all off playing or exploring or something to that effect, and it was something that Kijibwa loved to see and encouraged. They'd been in the jungle for quite some time now, long enough that he and Siku had realized their feelings and had started raising their very own cubs. He was having the time of his life, always happy, always proud of all four of his girls. With a big smile on his face he decided to go talk to Siku and take advantage of one of their quiet moments. "Siku," he called, walking a small circle to find her. Emerging from the cavern near the waterfall, Siku siled softly at Kijibwa, padding over happily. She'd certainly grown since the two had headed out for the jungle, and changed from when she was a cub. She did still think of home every so often, and how the other members of her family were doing, but she'd never admit that to Kiji. He was happy here, and so were their girls. She wouldn't take that away from any of them.
"Yes, Kiji?" She asked happily, stretching out a bit as she reached Kiji. Laughing softly, she looked around. "It's been a while since I had time alone, and I just wanted to get a bit of ininterrupted rest in." "None of that for you," he replied jokingly at her explanation of her hiding and resting, chuckling and nuzzling her affectionately. As much as it hurt his head sometimes, Kiji had been thinking too. He remembered when he first met Siku, and while he was still pretty young then, she couldn't have been too much older than the girls were now when she agreed to go adventuring with him without so much as a goodbye to her family. It made him somewhat wary about the girls' wandering, but he was optimistic that if they went off they'd be just as happy and well off as he and Siku had been. Aside from that, Kiji also remembered the night Siku was in a panic about her mother. Combined with his usual desire to wander, he'd been thinking about a change of scenery. "Do you remember," he murmured, taking a seat infront of her and looking at her with bright blue eyes, "that first night when we decided we didn't want to be apart?" Smiling brightly at Kiji, so happy to have a moment alone with him, Siku raised herself from the ground, padding over and sitting next to him, leaning her head into his shoulder.
"Of course I do, Kiji.. how could I ever forget it?" Sighing softly, she closed her eyes, leaning into him gently. It was a moment in time she'd never forget, not in all of her days. She was too much in love to ever forget a moment by Kijibwa's side.
"It was the first night we slept right next to each other, like this.." Siku purred, trying to remember what sleeping alone genuinely felt like. It'd been a long time since she'd been without Kiji by her side. Kiji positively beamed when Siku came over and leaned on him, and he inched around a bit so he comfortably nuzzle against her in return. He hasn't expected her to forget, and he hoped he never would forget it. If he remembered anything, he wanted it to be his love. He stayed like that silently for a moment, just enjoying sitting with Siku, before he sighed dreamily and decided to continue. "Do you remember what we were talking about before that?" Kiji asked in a hushed voice, still very much enjoying the moment. It was almost as if talking too loudly would ruin it.

"Of course I do," she murmured in a similar tone, though slightly suprised by his sudden question. Still laying against her Kiji, she paused for a moment, looking up to him. Even after all their time together, she still couldn't figure out where this was going.
"...My family," Siku said, nearly choking on the word as it came out. It was something she hadn't thought about in a very long time; her daughters and Kiji were her family now, not the lions back in the Pridelands. She was attatched to them, yes, but not the way she was with her new family.
Sighing softly, her gaze returned to the waterfall before them, slightly worried about his sudden concern. Had he been worrying about her family all this time? She certainly hoped not. "Why do you ask, love?"

Kiji smiled softly at the surprise that his mate could barely hide, and even kept the smile when she almost choked on the word. He couldn't say he was certain it had not been on her mind, but he knew he hadn't thought too much about it until recently. He licked her affectionately on the nose to try to get her to relax a bit.
"You weren't much older than the girls now when we first travelled across the desert," he reminded her, though he was sure she didn't need it to remember, "Y- Well- don't you think they might like to see you? And the girls?"
Kiji could tell if he didn't just blurt it out, he'd start rambling and that is not what he wanted. It was a semi-important conversation afterall! And to think he was the one who started it.

Eyes widening, Siku pulled back in shocked, staring at Kiji dumbfoundly when he suggested the idea. Go back to her old life? She hadn't seen her family since she was a cub! Unable to hold back the tears, Siku looked to the ground, still in shock of the suggestion. Kneading her paws in the dirt uneasily, she stumbled over the words.
"K..kiji, I... d.. I mean.. do you think they're ready for that?" Looking up, she tried to manage a smile, for his sake.
"For the trip across the desert, and meeting their grandmother, and their uncle, and.." drawing a deep breath, trying to calm herself, Siku found herself leaning onto Kiji once more, at a loss of what to say. This was so sudden, and..
"..Do you think.. YOU'RE ready to meet them..?"

Kiji tried to prepare himself for her reaction, but when she started to cry it was too much for him. He did not expect that kind of reaction from her! If anything, he hoped she might be a little more excited by the idea. He leaned back a bit, trying to give her some space. When she leaned in again, though, he couldn't do anything but lean back and nuzzle against her. He let her get all her words out before speaking up again.
"You were a little older than them," he repeated, trying to reassure her, "I- I was kind of thinking you could all go and I'd just hide out." He threw the joke in there, knowing he might not be so welcome having taken Siku away as a child. After all, he'd not be so happy if it happened to one of his girls!
"We could talk to the girls about it, see what they think," he suggested in a gentle whisper, nuzzling his love once again.

"Yes.." She whispered gently, closing her eyes in an attempt to remember the Pridelands. It was there, in her memory; the beauty of the open plains, everything. Smiling very softly, it brought back a fondness in her heart for open spaces; something she had not seen in a very long time.
"..I would love that, Kiji, if you do not mind.. my heart longs to see my old home," Siku murmured, lost in her own memories and the softness of his fur. They had to see her home, atleast once. Sighing softly, she returned his affectionate nuzzle.
"..But what then, Kiji? Will we stay there for a short time, or keep wandering again?" They had discussed wandering further when they had first met, but now with the girls, that seemed but a faint memory. Maybe it was discussion for another day, but she had to know his thoughts on it; they were living for not only themselves now, but their daughters, as well.

Kiji stayed against Siku comfortably, letting his own thoughts drift back to the Pridelands. It wasn't his home but he had spent most of his life there, and found the most important thing in his life there. His only bad memory was there too, that angry red lioness.
"I don't mind, love," he murmured, "I wouldn't have suggested it if I didn't want to go."
When Siku questioned what they would next, he leaned out and looked in her eyes. He remembered their other conversations, their plans to move on and explore as far as they could. He was also aware of the fact they had cubs to think about now.
"We'll go to the Pridelands," Kiji said in a decisive voice, "And we'll see how the girls take that trip before we decide what to do next.. if you want." His confidence faltered in the end and he grinned submissively at Siku. He would easily be swayed by her opinion, it was clear.

"Oh, Kiji, this means the world to me.." She purred gently, so amazed by the fact that Kiji could make her this happy. And oh, her babies getting to see the Pridelands! How much more wonderful could things get?
"When do you want to tell the girls our idea, Kiji? We can't just up and make them leave, we need to ask before we go ahead.." Siku mumbled, wondering what they would take of it. Ekevu and Janja would likely enjoy the trip, due to their love of exploration, but Jedi? She worried slightly about how she would take it.
"I would like to know how they feel about it.."

Finally, Siku sounded more positive about the idea and Kiji felt relieved. He grinned goofily at her as he considered her question. He too suspected that the one who'd take it the hardest might be Jedi, but he was also certain he could convince her if some problems came up!
"We'll talk to them as soon as we can find them all," he said, taking a moment to look around, "Actually, it might be better not to talk to them as a group- we might get someone or someones forced to say they like the idea." Kiji was mainly referring to Jedi, but he knew they all had strong influences on each other.
Kiji paused and looked around yet again, "Where did they all go anyway? We don't usually get much time to ourselves." He glanced back at Siku with a wink. He wasn't genuinely concerned about where they were, they enjoyed themselves and that's what mattered. Besides, this would be a different conversation entirely if the girls had all been running around them.

"I'm sure they're all somewhere nearby, if they're not already listening in on us." Siku said, giggling slightly at how much interest her daughters had tken in the world. They had so much more interest in seeing everything then she'd had as a cub! It was so inspiring, and it made her long to travel once more.
"Who will we talk to first, then?" She asked, wondering which of their daughters would be the easiest to convince. Something drove her to seek out Jedi first; she knew that she wasn't likely to tell the other girls. It'd be safest that way, at any rate. Hopefully, Kiji would agree with that.
"I think we should talk to Jedi first. That way, when we talk to Ekevu and Janja, they won't have the ability to run off and unfairly sway her."

"Y'think so?" he asked in a hushed voice, looking around in a joking wary manner. It was entirely possible they were being watched at this very moment, but he hoped they weren't. Their plan wouldn't work out so well if they'd been overhead.
"Who?" Kiji repeated thoughtfully, and reviewed the logic in each. Like his mate, he too had thought of Jedi and her likliness of being swayed against her own true desire and was about to suggest it when she spoke up. He nodded his agreement as she suggested Jedi.
"So, we'll have to talk to her first chance we get alone with her," he purred, quite pleased with how the conversation had gone. He was looking forward to moving on again. Siku saw the Jungle, just like she wanted, and his family was born here.. but it would be nice to have a change of scenery.

"Yes. As soon as possible," She purred once more, so overwhelmed and shocked and happy at the same time that her head could nearly burst. Oh, he definitely knew how to keep her happy! She loved the jungle, truly she did, but a place in her heart still longed for home. The way, she believed, that Kiji's had, when she had met him so long ago.
"Kiji, this.. this means so much to me. Thank you so much, I.. It's wonderful to know you think about things like this. Oh, I don't know what I'd do without you by my side.." Staying nuzzled against her love, eyes fallen to the waterfall once more, Siku remained quiet, feeling like she had spoken all the words she needed. Aside from one last thing, that she'd needed to tell him again for some time.
"..I love you, Kiji."

"If we're being eavesdropped upon, now would be a good time to find out, eh?" Kiji winked at her cheerily and gave a glance around them to see if anyone did pop out of the jungle to bother them. He chuckled when it was obvious nothing would be surprising them.
"Well, I have to use my head for something," he joked, not sure how else to approach the wonderful comment. It was hard to maintain the same joking attitude, and, beaming, he nuzzled her, "Of course I think about these things, love. Nothing's more important to me than you and our girls, and you don't have to worry about ever being without me! I love you, Siku."
