Prospects: She's a deaf mute with an attitude towards individual interactions. Good luck getting close enough to try.

Likes:

Soft fabrics: Of the satin-y variety as well as the soft fuzzy variety. The softer, the better. She loves how they feel against her skin.

Bright crystals: Shiny and brilliant, Lieve loves the beautiful colours as well as the shining light that emits from these lovely stones.

Warm tea: Upon learning of the existence of this stuff, Lieve was immediately addicted. She loves it dearly and will drink it all day if allowed to.

Performing: She feels in her element when she's on the stage, and enjoys all the brilliant action, even if the sounds elude her. There's so much to see and feel and taste, and there's nothing better than the circus.

Random Likes: Peppermint candy, Lightning storms, Sunset, Seijuu (more later), paintings, birds, practicing, learning new techniques

Dislikes:

Dark: The dark terrifies her. Putting her in a dark area, when she already can't hear, is like sticking someone in an isolation room. There's just -nothingness-. It's horrifying and consuming and not fun at -all-.

Fire: While it's bright and shiny, fire also terrifies her. She's felt the heat of it, and was burned (lightly) as a child, so knows to avoid it. She will use it in her performance if it's found necessary, but prefers not to.

Individual Interaction: Lieve is uncomfortable with people. While she has no problem with interacting in a group-- she can entertain others easily enough, her 'disability' has led to a lot of frustration on her part, and she's simply given up even bothering to try communicating with others.

Random Dislikes: Prickly objects, things you must hear to appreciate, etc

Favourite scents: That -new- smell, like new books and new cars and the whole world after it rains.

Hated scents: Not much. Lieve delights in the senses she does have.

Favourite food: Anything creamy and silky in texture.

Hated food: Not much. Again, Lieve tends to enjoy all of her senses.

Appearance: (will be expanded upon later)
Hair: A light greenish-bluish shade. It waves gently and falls to halfway between chin length and shoulder-length.


Eyes: Icy pale. The colour's hard to tell because they are so pale, but most will agree on either gray, green, or blue.

Face: Sharp angles, rather birdlike.

Body: Slim and lithe-- no breasts, no hips, etc. She looks -almost- androgynous.

Distinguishing Features:
Ears -- incredibly long, Lieve has floppy almost rabbit-like ears as far as how they fall and the length. They aren't shaped like rabbit ears, however, and more closely resemble fans, folding over like an accordion. These are a deeper shade of green than her hair.

Skin-- pearly white -scales-. These are somewhat closer to fish scales than lizard scales, and decorate the entirety of her body. However, they're so small they almost look like solid skin from a distance.

Webbing-- her feet are webbed rather like lizard's toes. Her fingers are also webbed, but incredibly dextrous despite it. They can grip suction-like to objects if she makes the effort to do so.

Physiology notes:

Lieve has a physiology slightly similar to that of a reptile's. She is cold-blooded and requires a temperature regulator-- a small black box that she comes to the circus with-- to keep her body temperature at a constant.

She also has cold hands and feet.

She'd have an incredible sense of hearing if she weren't completely deaf.

She cannot speak at all, as her vocal chords were malformed in the same mutation that caused her to be unable to hear.

In order to dispose of waste (feces, urine, etc), Lieve must soak in a full-body bath. This is so that the water is replenished just as quickly as it's released and originated as a self-preservation technique for her people that simply hasn't been evolved out yet.

Because of her lizard-like attributes, she has little need for mammalian traits-- hence why she appears androgynous to mammals.
