Yes, kill him, kill him again, then over kill him. Then again It would be pointless to try to kill him while he is already dead, and over killing somebody who was killed while tehy were already dead is also pointless.

Wrote this little piece up back in August: Quote: I want Captain America to die. Oh, don't get me wrong, I love the man. One of my favorite characters. He's very easy to dismiss as a throwaway boyscout wrapped in a cape, but he really isn't. He's a badass ******** who is basically the incarnation of America. He remains unchanged despite shifts in ruling party, president, and popular opinion. He stands for the founding principles of the country; Freedom. Liberty. All that jazz. Also, he is completely awesome. But, see, I would really like to see a shift in the way the comics industry does their thing. You get the same heros over and over, ad nauseam. it's very rare for there to be a major line-up change, and when there is it's generally reversed in pretty short order, and thus the status quo is restored. As a comic fan, this is something I have to live with. That doesn't mean I have to like it. What I would like to see is the comics industry moving to where intead of a perpetual status quo, old heros die or retire and new guys take their place. Annoyingly enough, the comic company I do not favor is way ahead of Marvel in that regard; The Flash has always been sort of a family business, Robin went off on his own and became Nightwing(and was replaced by Jason Todd, who was brutally murdered, Tim Drake, who worked out a bit better, and then for a short stretch while Tim and Bruce were on the outs Tim's girlfriend), and it seems that every time you turn around there's a new Green Lantern. Green Arrow's version of Robin was chosen over GA to join the newest incarnation of the Justice League. Meanwhile Marvel...well, there's been a couple of teams that were supposed to be training the next generation of X-Men. Nothing really came of them. Only a few went on to any importance, and most of that is either in alternate universes(a la Blink) or in titles that are not X-Men(Wolfsbane, M, Rictor). The only two I can think of that are real parts of main X-teams are Cannonball and Warpath II, and Warpath only vaguely qualifies as a member of one of those teams. The rest of them? Danielle Moonstar and Karma got shunted off to teaching in the NEWEST incarnation of this idea. They appears once an issue, max, and almost never in a combat role. Doug Ramsey got shot. Illyana got the Legacy Virus and died. Magma played a vague sort of role in the X-Men 198 mini, but honestly, every single mutant was in there somewhere. Half these people I've never even heard of, and most of the others I HAVE heard of I wish I hadn't(See: Sunspot. or everyone's limp bag of flesh, SKIN). The Academy X stuff seemed to be going in the right direction for bringin their characters into the X-chelons until Kyle and Yost took over and decided the way to go was to kill off and/or depower every single one of the characters except the ones they made, and X-23. There's time travel in this story, so I'm still keeping up hope for it to be retconned into oblivion at the end, but barring that I'm predicting the only one of these New X-Men to make it in the big leagues is X-23, and MAYBE Dust. ******** you, Kyle and Yost. Marvel has improved significantly in recent years, adding into their roster the young new hero teams Runaways and Young Avengers. So there's no real excuse to stick with the same old guys when you've got a whole bunch of new kids waiting to take the reins. (Well, obviously there's the whole money thing. The 90s weren't THAT long ago, and neither company is exactly rolling in the cash. Neither one wants to take a chance on a new hero when the old ones are still there. THis is why Wolverine is ******** everywhere, and why The Death Of Superman was undone four months after the fact. I am speaking of In A Perfect World Where Money Flows Like Milk And Honey And Storytelling Takes Precedence) It would be nice if the line up of the Avengers is completely different from what it was ten years ago. If old heros fall from active duty, and new ones surface more often. Not neccessarily replacing an old one, in the vein of the Flashes, but adding to the universe each time. Now, where does poor Cap biting it fit into this? Let me get to that. Captain America is Marvel's oldest still-active hero. Oh, OK, Namor is older, but Namor doesn't have his own comic, isn't on any teams, and only shows up every once in a while to be a d**k and get beat up. Cap is a central figure in the Marvel Universe. In a way, Captain America defines the problem of characters staying on perpetually. WHich is why I would like to see him die. Obviously I don't want him to just get shot offpanel. He should go down like a HEROIC ********. We are talking Death Of Superman here, not Tits!Robin. Maybe against the Red Skull, or some other new dastardly villain. Guy is all preparing to unleash some serious death and destruction, has Cap throughly outmatched, and Cap fights through and wins by sheer determinination, then dies from his wounds, and has awesome last words. Something like that. Work with me here. The problem is, this is Comic Books. Within months he'll be retconned back to life, probably with a new retarded addition to his backstory. I don't know how to get past this, really. I suppose you could make all writers and editors present and future sign a contract in blood saying they will leave Captain America dead or something.

Steph Brown I want everyone who has ever died before to die again and stay dead. Basically how I feel, much as I love some of the dead people, talking of, does anyone know if Lady Shiva really died? I'm finding it hard to get my head round that idea. gen_gen_gen - that was amazing, I totally agree, and I think it's one of the reasons I like DC more.

Lady Shiva didn't actually die, Cassandra only broke her neck and paralyze her, before putting her into the Larzarus pit.

I did wonder about it, it wasn't made very clear, and of course Cassandra is kind of s**t at being evil, so her killing people wouldn't fit. Also, I love Shiva, I'm glad she's not dead biggrin
