((Continued from cafeteria))
She snorted slightly, taking a sip of her drink. "Tch, that's only half of it, literally. Gryphon, according to a buddy, though the signs seem to match." She said, one clawed hand going up to run lightly over her ear. "Oh yeah, that's definately a positive note about this." Shenzi said dryly, before laughing. Leaning forward on the table, she grinned at him. "So where've you been hiding yourself? Havn't seen you since the food fight, and we weren't exactly talking then."

Miller raised an eyebrow at the Gryphon remark, "But those arn't real animals so how does that work?" He shrugged at her sarcastic sounding remark about the ears. He only called them as he saw them. "Well, I went to a Halloween party, a beach party, met a few other islanders and lately I've been hanging out with Kikue. What about you?"

She shrugged again, not indifferent, but not really caring too much. "How the hell should I know? I just know I've got cat feet and bird claws." She listened attentively as he spoke about what he'd done, before grinning. "I was at the halloween party; I thought you didn't go! Jesus, you b*****d, you stood me up." Shenzi said, grinning as she punched him lightly in the arm, a soft laugh echoing in her words.

Miller shrugged, "And I don't have anything, which I guess is a blessing but Kikue made it sound like that could become a bad things... sorta like those people and the graves at the party..."
He punched her back, "Gimi a break, I went on a whim and ended up getting my head busted open with a glass bottle, swarmed by rats and traumatized all in one night."

She frowned to that, in response both to the name and the graves mentioned. "I don't know Kikue, I don't think. But graves? I didn't see any graves, though I wasn't there too long..."
Shenzi made a face, trailing a finger down her cheek in the sarcastic crying image. "Oh, poor baby." She said, before grinning and touching a finger to his cheek. "You look fine now. But rats? Where the hell'd the rats come from?"

Miller sat his sandwhich down, he no longer felt much like eating after recalling the images from that night. Slowly he stood up. "Kikue's an Asian islander turning in to some kind of snow leapoard, I saw her for the first time during that event and latter on after another party."
He motioned for Shenzi to follow him, "The rats where part of a 'joke' but the ending wasn't quite that funny. If you want to really know what happened that night I can take you to the graves..."

Shenzi raised an eyebrow at that statement. "They certainly have a wide range of people, here..." She mumbled under her breath, but she stood up none the less, her tray in one hand, the lone crutch in the other.
"Pfft, some joke. Not sure if I want to know the rest, or not..." She said shortly, but she nodded to him, putting her tray on top of a trashcan. "Yeah, take me." After a second, though, she started laughing, grinning at Miller. "That so didn't sound right..."

Miller nodded, "They don't seem to discriminate in any way at all, if your human thats good enough for them to take you away and use you."
He started more towards the door once Shenzi was following him he looked back with a rather dark look on his face, "Believe me that part of the joke was the 'fun' part." He ignored her 2nd comment, mostly because his mind was lingering again on the bodies in the field just before the graves, would they still be there? Or would the labs have taken them, or worse one of the islanders decided to have a snack? He shivered at the thought.

Shenzi fell silent as well, after his refusal to laugh at her attempt to lighten things up. Before he would've laughed or grinned or something... She thought, a frown creasing her face as she followed him out of the cafeteria and towards the trees. What exactly happened on Halloween? She let herself be preoccupied with these thoughts as she trailed after him.
