Vini Completed vs. Fox

FIGHT!
PostPosted: Tue Nov 28, 2006 7:37 pm

A construct of the realm of technology infused with the might of mana was born into this realm once more, white metals stained with the crimson lifeblood of those crushed under his weight in a previous fight. A point on the ground at the northern gates seemed to bend and warp as if being sucked into the ground, the surrounding area warping, bending, and stretching as it was drawn to a point of infinity. With a rush of wind and a spray of earth and sand a single figure came into view. He was a towering behemoth of at least seven feet in height, pure white save for glowing blue optics and crimson stains, armored joints, and the two hilts rising from his shoulders. From the neck down he seemed to be a tall human in almost seamless armor, but his head had avian features, the optics and shape of the face given birdlike qualities. He even had a beak. His optics flared to life as he began running his programming.

The southern gate of the arena opened slowly, and a dark figure walked out, his whole figure just an outline to the shadows of place behind him. He then walked to the end of his alley, and stopped at the side of the arena. His shadowy appearence belonged to the long cloak like jacket he wore, tight around the shoulders, but loosening out towards the end of his sleeves and ankles. A thick silver zip hung from just below his cheek to his waist, leaving the bottom of the jacket to part and cone out, so that his legs could move easily. His face was darkened by a large baggy hood that cast a dark shadow across his face, only a frowning mouth was visible at the moment.

His hands were gloved, in black leather, tight, and in his right hand, was what appeared to be a snooker cue case, except a little shorter and thicker. He held it by its handle.

The figure stayed standing his cloak rustleing in the slight breeze, his eyes fixed on the man before him.

The remaining mana ports slid open across his body, the panel on his right thigh slipping open to reveal a firearm of incredible size. His features began to blur as his speed was passively increased by the flows of mana around him, the mana curves bending to his technological will while the phantasm of a mage within his neural net was pulling upon the strings of mana to gather spell energy. Targetting systems began analyzing the man as a 3D representation of the arena was brought up within his slave AI processors. A multitude of sensor systems began continually sweeping the area to update his battle grid at a rate faster than once every tenth of a second. Even as his right hand whipped past his thigh and the firearm locked on and fired three bursts he seemed to be otherwise immobile. Each of the three bullets was rather mundane in construction, but had been fired at railgun velocities, one at the opponent's heart while the other two were slightly off to each side, anticipating logical dodge scenarios.

As soon as that long arsed cannon came out of his thigh, Fox raised an eyebrow, and then as if things werent gonna get any more suprising, bullets came from the gun! Luckily for Fox, he was wise, and also, a demon of lightning. A demon of lightning has one of the most luckiest gifts of all time, its called 'The eye of the Seer', and the theory of it is, that after years and years of constant training, not years as in singular, years as in thousands. But after years of training under extreme speeds, constantly working to move that instinctual barrier further and further forward, trieing to make their own body as fast as that very bolt of lightning, they soon evolved.

Its more describable as forced evolution, survival of the fittest, and noone realised just how strong it made the wielder until the wars of the mountains. But the gift itself, is a beautifal thing, one of Foxs most favoured gifts that this ability gives him, is his lightning blue eyes, those eyes that shine like the bolt of the air. But these eyes have a great gift. In a moment of pressure, these eyes could change everything.

And so Fox was ready, as soon as the cannon popped out, Fox squared his eyes forward, waiting, waiting, and then BAM, the bullet shot. And then the eyes began to work. Its a well known theory that time itself is nothing but a biproduct of when speed and distance are combined, and these eyes were evidence. For at the first glimpse of the bullet, as a tiny spec of light is reflected off the tip of that shiny head, Foxs eyes catch it, and then, as it leaves the barrel, Fox catches it again, the third and last time he catches it as its on his way to him, and then his instincts kick in, as the bullet flies straight for him, his hands flick the case up, holding it from either end before him, so that the bullet flies dead centre into it, destroying the case, but stopping half way, and richocetting off. The other two bullets would whizz by.

Hopefully before Vini began his next assault, Fox would snap the whole case apart, a katana falling out, which he would catch by the hilt, throwing the cases remains aside, and watching readily, but otherwise, he would just hold it ( xd )

A tremendous roar of energy filled the arena as the monolith began to move, excess energy provided by the True Negativity core forced through his rear mana ports. He was using waste in order to propel him towards Fox at an incredible speed, the passive hasting enchantment only growing stronger with each passing moment. Streams of blue light began to gathering around the living armor, threads of mana attracted to his core as his body ressonated to their tune. Azure light began to flare from his optics as the various processes continued, another rather normal three bullet burst launched at Fox, this time closer together, but imperceptibly so from his current range. If he didn't move he'd be losing a couple of them arm things.

This time, Fox had no need for his ability, the adrenaline was starting to pump through his body, he was starting to get into a fighting frame of mind, and as Vini began to burst forward, Fox crouched a little, a shiver of electrical energy running across his body and up the blade of the sword, and then next moment, at about the same time as Vini fires his cannon once again, Fox burst straight up, moving faster then any ordinary being, leaping high into the air for enough time to dodge the bullets.

As he reached the peak of his jump, his hood now down on his back, his face visible, his ruby lensed glasses and shining smirk looking down on vini, but as he was at the top, he suddenly brought his sword above his head, another small flicker of electricity curling up and around the blade, and as it reached the top, Fox brought the blade down, slashing at the air before him, a large verticle blast of condensed electricity shot down, but not at Vini, just before him, striking the floor, hopefully distracting Vini, before rolling forward and shooting across the floor straight towards him, kicking up durst and burning the floor in its path.

The stream of lightning fell and instead of the intended path it was attracted to Vini's body against any direction toherwise. Near him the ability to alter the electricity would faulter. The shock would wash over his armor and infuse his core, increasing power output and increasing the rate of growth. The passive hate effect took a huge jump, his path crossing not 125ft along with the 75ft he had before, but now pushing him pushing him to the 250ft mark from where he had begun, well within striking distance of Fox. Something was building from deep within, the azure flash sparking from his eyes. A pulse of energy passed from his body, spreading outwards and focusing around Fox's location specifically. It would spread for an incredible distance, a sphere of over 100ft in diamater, but do no apparent damage to begin with. What was this attack? Three more shots, diagonal pattern from the right shoulder to left hip.

Fox put his left hand out before him, thrusting his open palm into the air, as if his was palm fisting the air, but an invisible force would send all the bullets veering off in different directions, as well as propelling Fox back through the air away from Vini. As soon as he shot back, he pulled the left hand to the blade of the sword, stroking it from hilt to end very quickly, while yelling,

"ROAR INUZAMA!"

And then a blinding flash was released from the blade, for a moment anyone but Fox watching, and then as their vision returned, Fox would be standing, a new sword in his hand, a much larger one, the actual blade about as long as just belowFoxs shoulder to floor, shaped a bit like a knife, completely straight and thick on one edge, the blade pulling out at a 90 degrees angle, on the bottom, thinning until it was razor sharp and then curving down to the tip at the bottom. On the thick end was a long hilt that would reach from Foxs shoulder to the top of his head. the hilt was heavily wrapped in bandages, and there was no handguard, in fact the hilt was nothing more then a thin extension off the blade, it was all made of one single metal.

This metal was a perfect partner to the power of a lightning demon, it conducted energies greatly, and for its size, it was umbelievably light but also sharp and strong.

Fox would stand, the blade easily held in both hands, and ready for the next collision.

Once Fox had come into view once more, his location already pinpointed through other means, Vini's eyes would flash and the outter rim of where the bubble had expanded to shimmered with an azure light. The shell solidified and the purpose became clear. The original bubble defined the parameters of the field while the secondary effect cemented the parameters of the contents. Supernatural abilities would begin to quickly break down within the quite solid shell, subdued by the same effect that extended from Vini's armor. This effect was a ressonance that scrambled mana flows, disrupted frequencies, and in generally just ******** supernatural s**t the hell up. Vini only moved faster, however, taking in the excess mana that is now nigh useless to increase his hasted effect. The gun returned to its holster as the two blades swept out from their sheathes, the last bit of light glinting off their surface before the two were left in utter darkness. Vini swept in for a quick pass on Fox's left side, blades held up to slice through his abdomen and ribcage. The edge of the swords were refined to that of a molecule blade, vibrations running along the blade to increase cutting power to the max. But that was only the starting point for the blades, they had so much more potential.

Fox knew it as soon as the field was initiated, as soon as he felt the supply of energy that his body constantly holds and replenishes, as soon as he felt it leave his body, so that his whole body held nothing, but was just like a humans. It felt like his very existance was being flushed out of him. Sort of like energy dihorea.

But he had no time to complain, there was now a huge mechanical bird like creature was flieing straight at him.

Now Fox thought, he had no energy, no magic for any kind of energy based boost of speed or power. But he still had his own physical abilities, and these should be just about enough to keep him alive. For now. But he would need a little extra help, he would need to be on his toes, leaving each movement to the last moment, in an attempt to open up the frame for the next movement. And so, for less then a moment, he focused, and caught a glimpse of Vinis sword, and the direction it was about to swing in.

And even though the next moment was dark, Fox still had enough information to dodge. He flipped back, moving a quick distance back avoiding the blade. As soon as he landed, he kicked off again, this time moveing backwards, his eyes kept forward, he leaped back, covering distance quickly. With each leap and landing, he set off leaping again, but he had the sword behind him, even though he was leaping backwards, he kept it held straight behind him, as if he was prepareing for something.

The majority of Vini's sensor readings were disrupted by the Ressonance Field, but by and large he had no trouble pinpointing Fox by other means. It merely meant shutting down his neural net and utilizing the processing power usually used to support a human consciousness to pick up the slack in interpretting the static. Furthermore, against all impossibility the flows of mana around him continued to grow in strength, highly distorted but remaining in motion all the same. Calculations continued, albeit more slowly, as he began to alter the mana curves to adjust to the ressonance field andcreate a tech based pseudomagical effect. He didn't need the mana, but it was the easiest medium with which to work. Hell, he could use heat or even his opponent's aura to "cast" "spells" if he wanted to.

This having been said, Vini seemed to rush after his opponent, keeping up as he began sliding in from the side to herd him back towards the center of the arena, at one point dashing past with an incredible burst of speed aided by his improvised thrusters to not only make a similar pass as before, but throw one of his two blades at Fox should he dodge, aiming to cut him through.

Fox cursed, he had little to work on, with the fact that the whole place was darkness, he was lucky to catch a glimpse of the thrusters, as Vini would shoot straight for him, Fox would make sure that he was far enough away, for every time he saw a burst of speed, he wou make a timed roll to the side, moving completely out of the way of the mechanical beast, before leaping back and aiming to get further towards the sides of the field.

But Vini was trying to herd him back, and he didnt want to go back, and so, as Vini shot at him, or past him, he leaped up and back, completely avoiding him and moving closer and closer to the edge, and as Vini cam back, Fox caught the short glimpse of energy from the blades, giving him enough time to pull up his own sword and hitting the blade away, before continueing to move.

((I needed to ask you about your last post, if I misunderstood, tell me xd ))

The sound of metal on metal filled the small area as the blade returned rather roughly to Vini's hand. The method by which it was drawn back is rather unclear, but it was certain he now held it once more. Noting his lack of sucess in herding Fox back towards the center he began just the opposite, rushing in from in front of him and keeping in front of him with reaction times besting any living being. At points when and if he got in range the blades would slice out to try and eviscerate the poor man, or at a slightly longer range he'd attempt to throw one of the blades to gut him.

It was too late, Fox had been moving closer and closer, and now he was there. As he still held the sword behind him, he stopped suddenly, as the whole thing began to vibrate violently, some large form of energy was being conducted through its metal blade, Fox had reached the field.

He pulled the sword back around in front of him, catching a glimpse of Vinis next burst comeing straight for him, he moved quickly, crouching slightly, before releasing, just as Vini and his swords were just about to come upon Fox, he shot up, with extreme speed, he leaped straight up, high above Vini and the ground.

He turned as he did, facing the field, dragging the sword above his head, he stared forward, reaching the peak of his jump, and slashing straight forward, plungeing his sword into the field, the whole sword shaking violently, but Fox held strong, his whole weight and power behind the sword. Due to the swords conducting abilities, it would absorb the field for less then a moment, but then as the energy would have nowhere to go, the energy would simply become a weapon against the field, repelling it, dragging down into it, and using its own force against itself.

As the field opened, Fox waited for his power to return, still ripping into the field.
