She snuck out of the house, a small bag slung over one shoulder, keeping to the shadows. An owl hooted, making her freeze, her heart pounding, before she went on. She came to a small shed and went in, then came back out with a small bike. She pedaled on it for a few minutes, until she came to a cliff. She dismounted, and walked to the edge of the cliff. She looked daown at the raging water below her, the wind whipping her hair in her face. She took a few steps back to where the bile lay.
She picked it up and got on, backing up a few more steps, then pedaled forward. The edge of the cliff neared, but she didn't stop, until the ground was gone from under her feet, when she realized I don't want to die yet.
The bike hit the water, and the current dragged her off it and under water. She desperately swam towards the surface, but she was slammde to the bottom of the river. She pushed off the riverbed, and her head breached the surface just long enough for her to take a braeth before she was slammed into a rock, and she wrapped her arms around it, but the current ripped her away again, the current sending her under again. She looked up and stroked for the surface, but she couldn't see it. Everything was gray and shadowy and fast.
The current sent her under again, and she felt her clothes and bag weighing her down. Lungs burning for air she stretched out a hand towards the surface, the edges of her vison blurry, until all she saw was red...
Her hand was grabbed, and someone hauled her up out of the water. She saw dark hair, a man's face, and she vaugely wondered if he was friend or foe, before she decided it didn't matter either was, because he had saved her either way, and with that last thought, she fainted.
