She'd doubled in size since her last encounter with the Joker. Her belly was round and maybe, if one looked closely enough, they'd notice the typical 'glow' that motherhood seemed to gift expecting mares... Glow her hindquarters. There was no 'glow'. None at all.
Her back hurt... She was being poked and prodded in various places by tiny hooves and little noses (she was certain that she felt at least two)... And her back hurt on top of it. Movement was unpleasant. Of course, upon letting that fact sink in she decided to stop. There was a cool stream before her and a drink could be just what she, and her foals, needed.
She dropped her muzzle to the stream, lapping at the water only to pause and look at her reflection. There seemed to be dark circles beneath her bright, blue eyes. She blinked... No, those had always been there. They were a part of her coloration. She was doing just fine without Mr. J... Just fine.

Kitara sighed to herself, she hadnt been feeling entirely well as of late. Mainly a passing of nasuea in the morning when she awoke, but sometimes she found that through out the day she would get the feeling again. Winter was well on its way and while she didnt fancy being ill during the cold season, she chalked it up to staying up to late and letting herself get chilled.
The brown mare quietly made her way to the little stream that she had often visited. She smiled to her reflection before dipping her muzzle against the cold water and sending ripples dancing out across the water making her reflection dance. As she drank from the stream she could hear tha sound of another approching. Through lazy lids she glanced up to see the form of a quiet strange mare, whos colors where very unique to say the lest. Her belly was quiet swollen and she could tell she was with foals. She smiled a little to the mare, but continued her drink none the less.

She hadn't heard anything at first... Then again, she hadn't really been -listening- for anything. When the sound of the water's movement over something other than the pebbles in the stream finally registered on her radar she took a defensive pose, ready to bolt if whoever she saw when she looked up proved to be a threat to either she or her foals. She might not be the best of mothers once her babies arrived... But while they were still inside of her she would try her damndest.
Her head tilted, icey blue eyes narrowing slightly to aide her in appearing 'threatening' only to soften when she realized that it was no stallion who stood before her. No, it wasn't anyone that she knew at all... It was a mare. A mare who, like herself, looked as if she'd seen slightly better days. "Hiya..."

Kitara heard the voice echo towards her on the breeze and after a moment of quiet drinking she finally lifted her head. The mare did look a little worse for wear, dispite the fact she was trying to tell her self it was nothing but a touch of the flu part of her wondered if it was something more serious. Even in her youth nothing had been able to stop her from running...
She offered a small smile to the strange mare and dipped her head in greeting. "hello." she said softly, her amber eyes looking at their reflections in the stream. She wished that whatever this illness was, that it would pass soon.

"Heard noise and thought you mighta been someone else." Her laugh was uneasy as she took a step away from the stream. The cool water had been enough to make the foals within her shift once more and she didn't want to be caught off-balance too close to the water if they kicked hard enough. "Glad your not... Don't think I could run right now if I wanted to."

Kitara nodded quitely to the mare and cast her a half smile. "well im not anyone to be scared of out right miss, so no worries there." she said with a light chuckle. The ill feeling was slowly subsiding now that she had drank deeply from the cool water, but she almost wanted more. She wanted to drink and drink until she burst. She looked at the water and took a step backwards, to do such a thing would truely be foolish.
"I'm Kitara, whats your name hon?" she asked her with a tilt of her head. "I havent seen any like you around here. "

"Name's Harley..." She paused for a moment before adding as a quick afterthought. "But don't you go repeatin' it anywhere 'cause I don't want no one knowin' where I am." She snorted, pawing at the ground as she took a step back. She seemed to soften slightly as she tilted her head, eyeing Kitara. "I should hope you hadn't seen many like me 'round here. S'bad enough to be carryin' foals and bein' alone. I'd hate ta think that anyone else was too." Of course -that- had to be what Kitara meant... Afterall, she couldn't be commenting on coloration... Not with how many obnoxiously colored Soquili she'd come across; Mr. J included.

Kitara had been remarking about her coloring, for though she had traveled all over the mountains she was most often alone and didnt encounter many other soquili. She blinked her amber eyes as the mare talked about how she was alone and carring foals. "But.. what about the stallion?" she asked lightly furrowing her brows, Kitara believed in the happily ever after. A bit nieve in the ways of the world in that respect...she didnt quite fully fathom that a male would.. just run off.
She shook her head, no that would never happen to her...

She sniffed at the mention of Mr. J, trying to hide just how much she loathed thinking of what had happened when she told him he was carrying her foals. "He ain't that bright... I wouldn't want him 'round my foals anyways." No, that was a lie... She wanted to raise a happy family with her Puddin'. "He... Wasn't ready for no sort of family. Just wanted it to be me an' him forever... Talk of foals sent him flyin' off his rocker."

Kitara blinked softly, the talk of foals would send a strong stallion running for the hills? Just what was so scary about a bunch of foals. Oh... Father hood. She chuckled softly to herself, for though her father had been a little awkward at first trying to over achive, he had been there for her and her siblings. Funny how it had never crossed her mind that not all stallions would want children.
She shook her memories from her mind and nodded her head slowly to the mare in front of her. "Im sorry to hear that miss, I dont think its right for a stallion to run off like that. After all they are his kids as well, and will continue to be even if he isnt around. " she shruged her shoulders a bit as the thought of her in mother hood difted across her mind. She would probably be a horrable mother, what with the wind challenging her to race...chained down with children... hmm. Had she chained her father down? No.. he'd often come and gone in her life, and she had wondered why... now she knew. He was wild and free to, but they had had their mother to care for them.... and she was the mare. Yes, she would be a terrable mother, best not to ever had foals.

No one had ever said that she would be a good mother either. She knew that she wouldn't be... It was something that had been weighing on her along with the words of the stallion whose foals she was carrying. What had he called her?
A bunch of horrible things, that's what. She snorted softly, stubby tail swatting at her hindquarters as she tossed her head. "It ain't right... But there are alot'of things in life that ain't right either... Like carin' for someone who don't care none for you." She tossed her head higher this time, trying to keep it up. "I need ta stop thinkin' 'bout Mr. J... 'Specially when I know..." She swallowed hard. "... When I know he's not thinkin' 'bout me. Be a smart mare. Don't let no stallion do nothin' to you if they ain't goin' to stick around."

Kitara looked at the mare, normally such words would have rolled as water down the slick back of a duck. But for some reason, those words dug into her heart. All at once her body seemed to tense, and memories of one particular night flooded back to her mind. Her cheeks burned shamefully on her face, and her heart ached with a sudden sarrow.
But such a foolish mare she was being! Remy would never do that, and besides it wasnt as if she had gotten pregnate. A tuss in the hay would be nothing to worry about...and it wasnt as if it had been against her consent.
"Alright." she said at length, her amber eyes gazing at the strange mare. "But how long did it take for this all to happen? If you dont mind me asking. I just cant fathom there not being a clear reason....for him to leave." perhaps she was benig to hard, perhaps to bold as well, but she sincerely wanted to know.

"How long did it take for what? For him to leave me?" She snorted softly as she pawed at the ground. "I told 'im. We fought. He was gone. Jus' like that. Didn't take no time at all." He was a dirty, rotten scoundrel and the moment she came across him again he was going to be sorry. Sorry with a capital 'S'.
