So today we got two new pieces in choir. I was like a kid set loose on a candy store excited. I love getting new music. I looked at the girl next to me and I was like:
" oh yay newness," all happy and perky and such, but nobody else seemed to get as excited as I was. 0.o
I love learning new stuff and hoarding music and such though. I save every piece a director gives me. ^^
Thats my little rant for today:
~Discuss~ getting new music, really fun pieces to do

I love getting new music, we get at least three new pieces every year, but so far my favorite has been this peice of music this girl in our choir wrote and dedicated to us, it's so much fun, it's also about snow, and it's only a page long, but it uses everyone's in the choirs abilities with really high and really low notes and is so pretty. ^^ Yah, that's my little rant for today. ^^

New music is the luff!!.. but we don't get to keep our music sad I think the only songs I really hated from choir was when I was way in begining choir *coughlastyearcough* but I like everything we're given in the honors class. Its so much fun to get new music and since its honors, we go through it like crazy!
we already learned like, 6 new songs this year!

Haha, I always get excited over new music. The girl next to me hates it, cause she can't read music and has to try and sing it by ear.

PrettyPr0n If your in choir, you should be able to read music. The end. or at least be able to follow how the notes follow on the page, even if you don't know what the notes mean exactly.

Reading music is not a prerequisite for the concert choir at my university. It helps, but it's not required. People tend to pick it up as time goes on though. In order to be in the chamber choir, yes, reading music is mandatory, as are solid sight-reading skills.

I would take a class if we had one.
Every block day we have a solfege (Sp? -_-) worksheet, or some new msuic theory thing.
