dont you just love Smashing Pumpkins quotes? Anyways...Today is the day Light Grenades is available everywhere. Most of us already have it but lets take a moment to jump around insanely. Incubus has taken their fans so far and this new LP lives up to everything theyve ever done.
DISCUSS
What are your fav tracks?
Are you coming out on the tour starting in january?
What has Incubus done for you?
Have you seen them before-what was it like?
Why are they so mantasmigorical?

Much love to all!

So far I'm really into Kiss To Send Us Off, Dig, Paper Shoes, and Pendulous Thread, but I really like Light Grenades too. Pendulous is pretty epic, and I have dig stuck in my head most of the time. Anna Molly also kicks a** in the context of the album (my friend asked me "Does the whole album sound like Chilipeppers cause Anna Molly sure did").

Hell yes I will be seeing them in January. I've never seen them before, wimper wimper. And our goal is nothing less than meeting them. On a school night no less.

What has Incubus done for me? I mean, I got into them about the same time that I got into music hardcore, which was unfortunately not that long ago... Besides making my wallet concideralby lighter (I've probably spent more money on Radiohead and Rage Against The Machine... I shudder to think) they've been a pretty darn life changing experiance for me. They've been a real influence for me, both artistically, singingly, and as a person. I pretty much think they are the coolest. It more about how well rounded they are as people that makes me aspire (well, a little) to be a more creative person. Plus their music makes me feel good when I'm blue, or better when I'm already happy. And it's easier to pick up chicks when you listen to good music. Or so I would think...

No. Shut up. I hate you.

Basically because they are. It's circular logic like that.

Rage Against The Machine=God
The whole album is pretty epic...but pendulous threads is pretty ******** AMAZING. Dig, Paper Shoes, and Love Hurts are the songs closest to my heart, though I do love them all. Diamonds and Coal is so...poppy and mainstream...but I still love it. This record has the best choruses but the lyrics just arent that amazing in general...
I got into Incubus 5 years ago, really because Make Yourself had a huge impact on me. It was an album about life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness...and those basic human rights are the most important thing in the world to me (hence why I love Rage so much)

OMG! i couldn't begin to select a favorite song, they're so talented i love them all really, but i love pendulous thread and paper shoes sooo much. they're really rather catchy dont you think? i had my boyfriend listen to the cd and he ran out to get his own copy an hour later. haha
we both decided we'd never pirate Incubus music, due to the fact that we adore them and hold them in the upmost respect. i cant imagine ripping them off. especially as a donator to the MYF.

but you're totally right, let's all sing in celebration!!! rofl xd

Rage is God. Yes. Soo much...

And I completely agree about the lyrics. Probably the weakest album lyrically, but at the same time, in the context of the album being a loose concept album, the lyrics work a lot better. I liked Rogues, Pendulous Thread, and Dig lyrically, oh, and I love the words for Anna Molly, and Kiss To Send Us Off was pretty good, but as a whole, they don't have that whole crazy random lyrics thing going on that I love so much. But the lyrics had to help progress "the story," so I understand why they aren't quiet as Incubus-y as I might like.

Ive been an Incubus fan for 5 years (not that long I suppose). After all these years I can't tell at all what the concept is for Light Grenades- I understand there's barely a concept but what is it?

I just want ot say that, while I found that this new wave Incubus is falling into dangerous and possibly catastrophic, this album really pulled through, shattering ACLOTM. It *is* pretty much one big love ballad, as my friend put, and I havent found any tracks that displease me (though some can be kind of weak)

Fav tracks would prob have to be a Kiss to send us off, Rogues, and Love Hurts. Rogues especially heart Lyrically it's flawless, and it deserves a big cookie for being so good
3nodding

'course, I got a job just to save up for tickets sweatdrop

Incubus..... Incubus is like that one college proffessor who you really like, that you stay after class just to talk to, in a vain attempt to have some of that genius rub off on you, who molds your personality and brings out the best your traits, and who you hope to have hot monkey sex with. Incubus is my jugular of music, where all of my inspiration flows through, feeding into my soul and branching out for the rest. It's my salt and garlic in this rising tide of
vampyric, mainstream psycho-rock that sucks the common sense out of its listeners. It's my get-away. Really, Incubus has actually made me a much more mellow person and generally optimistic guy. It makes me feel unique and puts some pizazz in an otherwise lethargic world. And i hear you Greer on the RATM, go Nightwatcher!

Too young and penniless sad

Hell if i know.

I'm gonna answer this in the album thread.
