"Whoa, whoa, whoa! Dageus, slow down- Dageus!"
Aiodhan's yelp was cut off when a giant ball of fast-moving fur hit him right in the stomach. The dragon-man exhaled sharply but managed to stay upright as the furball bounced off him and tumbled over backwards. "Jeeeeeeeeeeez, Dageus! You okay?"
Now lying flat on his back, the wolverine boy was momentarily stunned by the force of the impact. The football lay on the ground beside him. After a moment, he blinked and then struggled up to his feet again, staggering about for a moment. "Wow..."
Resisting the urge to sigh, Aiodhan watched his new ward get back to his feet. He had brought the boy here in the hopes of being able to wrestle a bit, play some football, and maybe get rid of some of the energy the boy had stored up. Right now, though, the boy just seemed to be trying to bite off more than he could chew, in trying to tackle his foster father.

Jacosa was lustlessly kicking a football against a wall. His hands were shoved into the pocket's of his dark trousers. As usual he was dressed in black. His ears twitched slightly as he heard some noises and so he turned around, which caused the ball to roll away.
Raising an eyebrow he watched the interesting scene not far away from him.

"Nyah. I need to get bigger," Dageus said fervently, giving himself a fierce shake to clear his head. Looking much steadier he scooped up the football and scurried back over to his father, grinning up at the dragon-man. "Again?"
Aiodhan slapped a hand over his eyes and let out a sigh of frustration. This was pointless. All he was going to do was scramble the poor kid's brain every time Dageus tried to tackle him. He couldn't help it. The size difference, coupled with the fact that Aiodhan had about ten times the boy's strength and balance, made it too difficult.
Sensing that his father was not likely to agree immediately, Dageus adopted a scowl. Well, darn! This was fun, albeit a bit painful. A bit of movement on the edge of his field of vision caught his attention, and he turned to see what looked like... well, a furry-being like himself, dressed all in black, watching them. How strange. He set his face into a full scowl and stared back, flicking his tail every now and then.

It was better than TV. Jacosa grinned at the scene and then cocked his head to one side as he was stared at by the boy. He gave him a brief nod and then slowly moved over towards the pair. "So...like playing football, yeah ?"
It seemed like he was ignoring the grown-up and just watched the boy. He could very well be a Fourth Wall kid, but he had never seen him before.

Aiodhan's hand came away from his face at the sound of another voice, and he watched the newcomer with a bit of bemusement. Who was this? Another furry? Another Fourth-Waller?
"Never played it before," Dageus confessed, not sure whether to stop scowling or not. He settled for a neutral sort of expression, shuffling his blunt-clawed feet on the ground. He cocked his head from one side to the either, eventually narrowing his eyes to stare again. "What are you?" he asked, scratching the fur beneath his chin. Not that he was arguing with seeing another male. The balance of gender in his new home leaned more toward the 'female' side, and it got to be overwhelming at times.

The otter didn't like how he was eyes by the other one and started to feel a bit uncomfortable. "Friends call me Cosa. I'm an otter. What about you ? Beaver ?" He knew that Dageus didn't look like a beaver, but he wanted to tease him a bit.
One of his feet was placed onto the ball that had been rolling away and he started to fiddle around with it a bit. "Why are you looking at me like that ?"

"Otter?" Dageus queried rhetorically, digging deep into his brain to identify 'otter'. Ahhh... water animal. Eww. Water. "Beaver?! Look at the teeth!" he scoffed, baring his big set of chompers, complete with sharp eyeteeth. "Wolverine!" Actually, he could have made the point by pointing to his tail, but he liked his teeth better. They were shinier.
He was a bit taken aback by the second question. He was looking at Cosa a weird way? How so? That was how he looked at most of his many siblings. "I dunno. Am I supposed to look at you a different way?" the boy asked, looking quite bewildered.

"Yeah, otter." He grinned a bit and then shoved the football onto his paw. Having expected that Dageus would be offended the teenager didn't react to the scolding. "Alright, sorry, so what's your name ?"
Moving one paw through his long hair the otter rolled eyes. "Nah,nah, not exactly. It seemed like you were offended in any way, yeah." Phew that was an exhausting fellow and he totally had no clue what a wolverine was.

Dageus watched Cosa handle the football. Ahhh, so here was someone who knew what they were doing with this oddly-shaped, leather-covered ball. This had potential. "Oh, m' name's Dageus. My mum thought it sounded royal," the wolverine said, rolling his eyes and giving a hefty snort. Royal... pah! As if he was royalty.
"More like.... confused. None of my other siblings are like you or me. They all look mostly human. And most of them are girls," he admitted.

The few times Jacosa had played football with Akilah had luckily paid off. He recognised the boy's gaze. "Dageus." The name felt funny on his tongue, so he tried to help the smaller one. "Ah you know, I'll just call you Dag if it's alright with you."
Listening the his worries Jacosa started to smile. "Do you come from the Fourth Wall Center ? I can totally understand you, I've got quite a few siblings too, but I'm the oldest one. Are your parents alright ?" Taking a look at Aiodhan he smirked.

"Dag... that works," the wolverine said with an offhanded shrug. Truth be told, no one at home really called him by name, except for his parents and then only when he was in trouble.
Dageus flicked an ear. So, he was from the Fourth Wall adoption place too. Interesting. Maybe it was only furries that came from that place. "Yes, that's where I came through. Mum and Dad are pretty cool, except Mum is obsessed with decorating the house for holidays. But two of my sis's and I came up with a plan to escape," he said, his wicked grin returning full force.
Aiodhan, who had comfortably seated himself on the grass a distance away from the two, watched the otter look in his direction. He resisted the urge to smirk back. That would just be juvenile, and he was supposed to be acting like the responsible adult here.

Trying to scribble down 'Dag' in his mind Jacosa's tail started to poke the ball slightly. As he listened to his words he nodded to himself silently. It had been obvious that they both were Fourth Wallers, but some aspects truly confused him about that.
"Dag, wait, you can't tell me you came here voluntarily, do you ? I mean...you're talking about parents somewhere else, right ?" His heart felt suddenly a bit weak as he considered the aspect of being given away or having parents elsewhere. Why did they leave him ?

Dageus was momentarily distracted by Jacosa's tail poking at the ball. He wished his own tail could do it, but it was a bit less controllable. And it was more like... a giant broom. Or one of those duster things he always saw advertised on the TV.
"Parents? You mean back in the other place? I suppose I did. I don't remember them much. They died when I was little, and I lived with a couple of different families that I didn't like. One of them ate nothing but vegetables." The wolverine boy's disgusted and contorted expression spoke volumes about how much he had disliked that family situation. "And then they said I could come through to here if I wanted. And I like it. Mum and Dad don't make me eat tons of veggies." He shrugged. He supposed he should miss his first parents, whom he remembered little to none of, but he really didn't. Not now that he had two parents who weren't difficult to get along with, even if they were a bit.... odd.

The statement slowly trickled into Jacosa's brain and so because it made him ticklish he rubbed his head. "You're so damn lucky !" It almost blurted out of him and because this probably not as cool as he wanted it to sound he coughed slightly.
"I was still a baby when I came here and I remember nothing. Not a single little bit, nothing..." It suddenly appeared to him that Dageus probably wasn't very happy about his former life. Too late, now he had already said everything.
A small puddle close to them suddenly decided to make a strange noise. Jacosa glared at it.

"Lucky?" Dageus queried, adopting a bemused face that seemed to suit him perfectly. "About what?" Well, he supposed he was lucky that he had a nice family, sisters to wrestle with, and decent meat to eat. Those were all good things.
Poor Cosa. No memories of a life before this place? "Nothing at all? Don't you ever wonder what it was like?" he asked with all the blunt tactlessness of a child. Granted, he didn't like some of the memories from before, but a few weren't so bad. His one set of foster parents had been amusing, though their taste in food had been.... questionable.
One of his furred ears flicked at the noise, and Dageus followed Cosa's gaze to look at the... was it a puddle? He blinked. "Whazzat?"
