Hmm last night against the seahawks Brett Farve tryed to do everything in his power to bring out a win, but old man winter failed to survive the blizzard. can Brett Favre turn the Pack around again and take them to the playoffs? Or should he just retire and go live in Mississippi?

I really like Brett, and he's the reason I started watching football, but I think it's time for him to retire. The losing has to be disheartening to him.

the loss wasn't his fault. the stupid penalty of roughing the passer is what killed them. that was a terrible call.

The reason The Packers lost is because my mom made me turn off the tv and do my homework. Its weird, whenever I actually watch the Packers they usually do well when I don't they don't do that well.... I hate my mom! She made me turn off the tv at halftime when they were winning! Anywho.... I think that Favre should play a few more years, or he should atleast end this season with a winning record which will be hard because we have to play the Jets, 49ers, Lions, Vikqueens, and Bears. Hopefully the Bears will rest there starters and hopefully the Jets won't play that well. I think the rest we have a pretty good chance, other than the 49ers and Frank Gore. That guys a beast! But I still think we can win the rest of our games and MAYBE get into the playoffs if a lot of other teams do bad.

I want to say that he has one more year, but really, I'm not so sure. I mean, he needs to go, but I think that they don't have anyone that's quite skilled enough yet to fill his shoes.

I love Bret Farve, it's not all his fault, but he can't expect his hail mary throws to always work. With better receivers, who knows, but the fact is it's a young team and it will take years to build a winning team again. This year goes to the Bears

Brett Favre cannot be entirely blamed for last night's loss. The problem with the Packers is that their playcalling is painfully predictable. Everyone knows Favre is going to try to get it in the endzone when his team is behind, hence he throws a bunch of INTs. And that doesn't apply to just Brett, many QBs try to do the very same thing when they're behind and when they're in a panic they throw more INTs.
Plus, any QB would struggle if they had the Packers offensive line. When Tauscher gets back I expect it to improve a bit, but there are still a bunch of rookies on that line. A bad O-line kills the run game and puts more pressure on the QB as well.
Brett is still a great QB. I can't seem him going out when he sees that the team is turning around. This years team improved significantly from last season, unfortuately the record doesn't reflect that.

I think that Brett has one more year in him. The game on Monday night wasn't all his fault. Yeah, he made some bad decisions late in the game. But, you have to take into account the following scenarios as well:
The roughing-the-passer penalty. I don't know what the refs were looking at, but it was certainly NOT roughing the passer.
The weather. The Seahawks struggled immensely when it was snowing in the first half. By the second half, it had mostly cleared up and the Seahawks offense was in full mode.
The lack of an O-line. You could put Peyton or Donovan on that team and probably still end up with the same record because of that line.
The secondary. Yeah, they did very good against Hasselbeck (again) in the first half and even the first part of the 3rd quarter. But, they're still not that good.

Spirit of Heaven kajael are you referring to Brett Favre as Old Man Winter? That's insane. The disrespect for one of the NFL greatest QB's. That's really crazy. Brett Favre is Green Bay's old man winter. He has won more than 85% of the games that he has played in snow, plus that the name givin to him by The Nfl Network.

I don't think it's his fault, just to clear that up, but I don't see the Packers getting any better.
