I just got finished reading a supplement of D&D called Dragon Magic and I had an idea for an RP setting and was curious as to what other people thought.
Imagine a vast Kingdom in which Dragons and the other races not only live together but rely on each other. The dragons have taken it upon themselves to rule the mortal races and the other races either accept the noble dragons offer or suffer and live under the tyranny of their masters.
Types of Dragons/Peoples
Silver Dragons and the Silver Brow Humans: The Silver Dragons known for the love of humanity and great diplomacy were a natural fit for these two.
Red Dragons and the Fireblood Dwarves: These Dwarves live under the tyranny of their Red Dragon masters and hope to be one day free.
Deep Dragons and Deepwyrm Drow: Cunning, Brilliant, and Ruthless, the Drow of the Underdark secure pacts with their Deep Dragon brethern for their protection
Green Dragons and Forest Lord Elves: Through pacts the Elves and the Green Dragons rule the woodlands.
Copper Dragons and Stonehunter Gnomes: Pranksters at heart, Copper Dragons and the Gnomes have built a great friendship (much to the dislike of the others)
Black Dragons and Viletooth Lizardfolk: The swamps are the homeland and no race is more treacherous then the alliance between these two.
Blue Dragons and Sunscortch Hobgoblins: The Deserts are their homelands and the mighty Blue Dragons ally with the Hobgoblins.
White Dragons and Frostburn Orcs: The most savage of the dragons and the most brutal of the mortal races, rule the northern wastes.
Gold Dragons and Glimmerskin Halflings: The Gold Dragons make up everything that is good and chivlarous of the dragons and if there is one thing they cannot stand is when the strong pick on the weak (or the small). Hence why they have made themselves defenders of the Halflings.
Again this is more of a curiosity if anyone would be intrested in playing in such a setting.

I like it! Just be warned, we have limited supply of dedicated RPers, so not everyone in the guild will be playing. Just to regulars.

Indeed, try not to count on largescale participants, you may have to make up some NPCs yourself to get it moving otherwise.

what i was thinking of doing was having the players act as Dragon Kings over these races and have like a political/feudal game maybe...

Agh sorry its not our faults!! >.> Terk Love: heart
A feudal game sounds awesome but we're going to be tussling over who is of what element ^^; Some of us are the same element alignment so..... yes. Then again I don't mind making a new dragon character.

why not a compromise and if you have a similar element you don't have to be the same color (Gold and Red dragons are both fire and Silver and White are both ice). But if you do want to be the same color...why not be siblings and rule jointly?
