A once sprawling civilization filled with many different peoples. It was a world much like Earth capable of supporting life in all it's infinite forms. It's split up into several continents. Each with it's own flurry of nations. Each a nation with high technology. Many spectacular and extravagant cities dotted this globe. This state was maintained at great cost until tensions grew between many nations. This tension eventually broke out into an all out total world war.
The war quickly went from high mobility into entrenched static warfare. The nuclear weapons bans slowly dissolved. After 138 years of prolonged trench warfare and millions dead the final solution was enacted by one of the countries on the northern most continent.
A thermonuclear missile's engines fired and plunged the world into nuclear war. The missiles were quickly used up. The major superpowers had dwindled into radioactive cinders. The fighting still continues, casualties numbering in the billions.
The remaining nations with intact military commands continued to develop technology to better fight in this new highly radioactive world which began to mutate the life that lived upon it. The humanoid beings became what many would consider to be elf like.
There are several small green zones on each continent. these green zones are where the survivors of the nuclear war congregated due to the low levels of radioactivity.
A yellow belt surrounds each green zone. These are the areas where the fighting persists. Radioactivity levels dangerous for any kind of life not protected from it. This is the limit of any travel and military action. The yellow belts are also home to a valuable mineral formed in the fallout.
The blood sea, as it's known, is the red zone. It encompasses much of the globe. Radiation level close to that of the a thousand thermonuclear explosions. It pierces through even the the strongest shields and barriers. There is no protection from these destroyed atoms. Energy fields have no effect as do the radiation resistant metals. On land nothing exists in the red zone except for decaying rubble. Life still flourishes in the mighty oceans. The living beings slowly began to mutate in them as well. It is now filled with monstrosities that destroy even the mightiest of ships and devour the occupants.
In the blood sea is where the ruins of a once thought "eternal" temple stood. The fighting destroyed it and the city that surrounded it long before the nuclear war started. But the winds dictated it would become a fallout infected pile of rubble.

Somewhere on the third moon of Talon 8 a massive battle fleet, the Imperial 1st Fleet, or the Imperial Battle Operations Group, was gathering. Upon his flagship the God Emperor of the country Sal Torasia waited. While he waited he consorted with his strategists. "Your Imperial Excellency, our target for this drop is the country of Meconis. Our sensors show a large battle fleet forming on the other side of the planet. Chances are they're Auctoritanian and aiming to take Meconis as well." The first strategist said. The Emperor nodded in acknowledgment. "It may be more dangerous for our forces, but we will land instead of on the slopes and cliffs of the mountains west of Meconis, but in the plains to the east. The radiation would be higher of course, but we wouldn't lose as many Marines in the landing. We will land here." The emperor slammed his fist down on the holo-map's rim and pointed to a small embankment about a mile south west of a Meconis military installation. The terrain was some what hilly and was well suited for infantry and mech combat. "We will commence bombardment of the battlefield and installation as soon as we are in position, Your Imperial Excellency. We will drop our Drop pods here, here, and here." The Marine Chapter Commander said. "The Marines will make a beachhead and take a foothold. We will then send reinforcements comprised of the Imperial Guard's infantry and both classes of armor. But before we land the marines we will land their Special Operations Unit Blue Nymph and they will ensure the destruction of the installation."

Meanwhile, within Meconis...
"Shadow Unit reporting for duty." A tall man in a black mech suit saluted.
"At ease." The head of the military was sitting at his desk, eyes dancing about the cities famed task force. "Our intel says there will be an attack from the west, but it didn't come from a too reliable source. While some of the main forces prepare for a defense to the west, I want you and your group to scout around and report what you find. You are not, and I mean not allowed to engage the enemy should you find them. You have your orders, dismissed."

Elsewhere, off on the other side of the planet, near the asteroid belt, the Grand High 1st Fleet of Auctoritania was planning it's move. On board the Omni Exist, High Captain Peilei kept close watch on everything, readying for the move. She reviewed the plans carefully with her tactical crew "This mission will need to be a short one, there is nor room for error. Sal Torasia is not a nation to be taken lightly, and if we are to annex Meconis, we will need to be swift. If we are too slow, the enemy flagship will overcome our fleet with their Coxial Cannon." she went on to speak to the entire fleet via transmission. "Remember, no one is to directly attack, but we shall wait, and allow them to strike. When they have opened themselves up to our defenses, we shall retaliate swiftly, and take them out quickly. In the case of the enemy flagship's Coxial Cannon, if it gets the chance to fire, all forces are ordered to immediately retreat. Once we have moved in toward Meconis, we shall drop our pilots directly into the outskirts of Meconis, at the base of the mountains of the west. All ships are to cover the Omni Exist until the drop has succeeded. Also, shield are to remain up 100 percent at all times. Now, it is time, commence the move, forward to Meconis!" The fleet began to move, rounding the planet, heading straight toward Meconis from the western skies.

The last of the ships formed up on the Imperial Flag Ship. "Give the order to move out." The operations offer nodded, snapped to attention and gave th command. With that Operation Death Hail was in motion. The massive engines of the flag ship roared to life as it pushed away from the military installation on the moon.Within a few moments the entire fleet had cleared the moon and was making it's was toward the planet. Sensors began to ping as they picked up Auctoritanian fleet moving toward the target area. The 800 ship strong first fleet was then given the command to hold fire until given the order to fire. Within all ships alarms began to sound telling all personnel to move to their battle stations. Upon the Imperial Flagship the pilots of the Blue Nymphs boarded their MLHAV. All Marine forces were in their drop pods, ready to launch at a moment' notice, as the flet moved into their theater of operation.
Th massive fleet stopped it's advance directly over the country of Meconis. All ships who were participating in the bombardment turned to the proper trajectory to land fire in the target zone."Open channels to all bombardment ships. Open fire." With the order given from the Emperor all ships equipped with energy weapons fired down into the target zone while all other weapons were trained on the Auctoritanian Fleet. Suddenly with the cockpit of Shlag, the leader of the Blue Nymphs a com window opened. As it did with all the other soldiers participating in the offensive. It was the God Emperor himself. She was astonished. She never thought she would see him. But she always had faith in him. For to not have faith was considered herecy and punishable by death. "Marines and my Guard, this invasion is of the utmost importance to the Imperium. You will fight with all your might and you will die with honor. For no man or woman who dies in my service will ever be considered less than my finest. Your mission is to take the Meconian capital. There will be no retreat only death from here on in. Marines will land first and make a beachhead and from there take a foot hold out of this sector and they will then be reinforced by the Imperial Guard. The invasion will commence in eight hours." The com link went quite for all but the Blue Nymphs. "You will be the first to touch down. Your mission is to destroy all enemy defenses in the target sector within the six hours prior to the invasion. Your mission begins in 2 hours. Be ready." Even in her bulky, heavy marine armor, she saluted.

Shadow, whom ironicly is the leader of the Shadow Unit, was laying low under cover; a wide vision scope to his eyes. "I don't see nothin yet," his voice was deep and imposing. "Still, keep loose, we may be surrounded and not know it."
"Shadow, I got a bad feeling..." One of the 2 females of the group spoke with concern.
"Relax Jinzo, we'll be fine."

"Did you get the reports that I asked?" The man from before asked a man standing before him.
"Yes sir, the reports on the Shadow Units history." slapping a memory chip onto the desk, the man left.
"You've all been good to me, but your use is up." He spoke as he stared down at the disk.

As the fleet reached the drop zone, they slowed as the enemy ships came into range "Fleet is in position, Torasian ships are in range of the cannon, shields are at maximum capacity. All offensive systems are online, Coxial Cannon ready to charge"
Peilei stood with her hands together "Good, good" She went onto transmission and spoke "All units, here is the rundown: Golem units are to be led by Geryon, and shall proceed directly to the capitol. Claw are to be led by Lamia, and shall sneak around to the eastern plains for a pincer attack on the capitol. Commence with the dropoff, Magnos will make landfall in two hours."

"Your Imperial Excellency, all enemy ships are within range. The Coaxial Cannon is charged. We're commencing the Orbital Bombardment of the enemy military installation and surrounding area now." The gunnery officer reported to the Emperor from his terminal. "Open fire on the enemy fleet and drop zone. Deploy all fighters and bombers. Have them ready to engage any and all enemy ships passing through front line. As soon a** all fighters are deployed, send and interception fleet or attack frigates to their right flank." "Yes sir! All ships open fire." With that command a volley of thousands of rail gun and gause rounds were fired at the Autoritanian fleet. Thousands of rounds of hyper laser cannons and plasma rounds all exploded from their barrels barreling toward the drop zone with the intent of killing everything bellow to allow for an intended quick victory.

"Enemy has opened fire, barriers remain intact, Coxial Cannon charged to maximum destructive force"
Peilei stood her ground "All ships, open fire! Coxial Cannon, fire! Magnos, move out!" At once, the thousands of plasma and burst laser cannons deployed their rounds, the rail guns firing their blasts, all headed for the Torasian fleet. The flagship sent forth a gigantic set og blasts from the sides of the ship as the Coxial cannon fired it's shots, decimating a good 300+ enemy ships. The extra absorption barriers went up, as the Magno squadron dove out from their hidden drop bay in the rear of the Omni Exist. They quickly landed among the mountains, guarded by the absorption barrier.
"Woohoo! Golems, let's get this party started! Forward, destroy everything that gets in our way!" Daos's voice was loud and clear, and as obnixious as ever.
A com window opened up in the cockpit, it was Hallas "Calm your a** down, uncle, we need to stay focused, don't underestimate the enemy forces! We reconvene in the city, we shall take them by suprise with a pincer formation!" She closed the window, and opened it to her squadron "Claws, Pack formation, move out!"

"Bad news." Brass was a rather tall and slender male, having short black hair and bright green eyes. "I got signals of battles all around, we are surrounded."

"The fighter squadrons have been cut in half. Their Coaxial Cannon wasn't concentrated enough to pierce through much of the fleet's armor and shielding. Returning Coaxial Cannon fire." The good thing about concentrated shots from the Sal Torasian Coaxial cannon was that is powerful enough to destroy any shielding and the ship of one ship chosen by the gunnery officer. The other upside was that it was fairly rapid fire. Capable of firing and recharging in 1 minute 30 second intervals because it didn't deplete a full load of energy like the Auctoritanian Coaxial Cannon. It was also very very acurate and almost impossible to dodge. He'd seen the specs on both. From the imagery on the bridge the Emperor saw the the sides of his ship glow and collect in the very nose of the ship. A third laser spiraled down a shaft in the center of ship. It passed through the reflector punching through and taking all the energy from the other two lasers with it. The shot barreled right at the ship who just fired the Coaxial Cannons. Just in precaution the gunner officer sent a message out to all rail cannon teams to start using shield piercing high impact munitions. He then turned all their weapons on the flag ship and continued firing. From the Imperial Flagship alone over 20,000 rounds of shield piercing high impact munitions. These shells were designed to punch through shilding and armor alike an explode within the ship. The Imperial flag ship also had their shield eating Ion cannons and the Hyper Lasers firing at the oppositions flag ship. No shielding in the universe could put up with that kind of abuse. It would go down, if not during the Coaxial cannon strike, the the secondary bombardment following close behind. They couldn't allow for a second shot. By this time the Sal Torasian Coaxial Cannon was at 37% charge and capable of firing again, but just a much weaker shot. In the chaos of the ensuing battle the Blue Nymphs launched. Their drop pods barreled toward the planet. They would be precisely where they needed to be when they landed.

"Tesser now!" The ship popped in and out, making use of a tesseract, and when it had popped back out, less than 10% of the fleet remained, and were being heavily bombarded by the Torasian fleet "All remaining ships, retreat!" The ship went into ultradrive, and was around the planet in less than two seconds. It docked at the station, hidden deep within the Charos Meteoroid in the asteroid belt. Peilei consulted with her tactical crew "What's our status?"
"Minimal damages to Omni Exist, power cells are completely drained, fuel is nearly exhausted. It will take 234 hours to completely recharge power cells and refuel to maximum capacity"
"Alright, that is fine, any report on the remaining fleet?"
"The Data is incoming.....processing....out of the 1120 ships deployed, 1076 have been completely destroyed, and the rest have suffered heavy damages. Status of the Magno Squadrons has not yet been determined"
Peilei sighed with frustration "Very well, you have all done adequately, I am sure the Grandmaster will be pleased. Begin refuleing and recharging, stay online, keep com transmitter open for Magno Reception" Their Coxial Cannon....such power, even more so than the Sensory Tower....where did they get such a weapon?

"The cowards. Those fitghers will be easy to replace. Remain in orbit. All ships keep bombarding."jolted to life with a powerful boost
The pods touched down hard, colliding with the ground. Everything with them had been made for this impact. The Mechs walked away unharmed. Shalg scanned the immediate area for any signs of opposition. When she didn't find any she decided to wait for an attack. Hyper Laser fire and now Rail cannon fire was landing all over the place. Explosions could be seen left and right. "Lets move for cover." She said. Her mech kicked to life with a powerful blast from her quick maneuver boosters. She fired her normal boosters. Her mech accelerated to 200 KM/H followed by the rest of the squad.

"s**t, we have company!" Shadow passed the scope over to Brass, who was just getting out of his mech. Seeing the oncoming mechs, the two bit their lips.
"Worse news, we got new orders: engage all invading forces."
"Damn! What's the top thinking!?" Turning to the rest of his unit, he was devising a plan. "Alright, this is the plan; remain hidden, don't fire unless fired upon first. We're out numbered, and maybe even out gunned. Raven, take a sniper position, Borskey, keep her covered. The rest, hang loose, maybe their not all hostile."

Hallas appeared in a com window to Shadow "Alright, here's the sitch, bulfrog, you don't know us, but we have been carefully watching you. our country is prepared to take all measures necessary to annex your country. As of now, if the Torasian militia has their way, this country of yours will be reduced to complete and utter cinders. However, if you would give us no trouble, we are prepared to defend your capitol here and now from the Torasian threat, and I am sure your leader can come up with some sort of position with our Grandmaster. Don't bother to retaliate, for we will not think twice to crush you if you would oppose us. What's it gonna be, bullfrog?" Her squadron was already to the east and in position, the Claw units not appearing on the radar thanks to their Scramblers
