Thought this might be a fun topic.

What (apart from Dr Who) is your favourite film/TV series/book/etc involving time travel?

Mines are Quantum Leap and Donnie Darko (either version).

Time after Time... Jack the ripper is always cool, plus a dash of romance and historical fiction doesn't hurt ether.
You gotta go back to the clasics, so my ohter pick would have to be H.G. Wells (whom the aformentioned movie was about) "Time Machine" (the book not any of the movies)

Books revolving around time travel always have a hit with me, it seems xD. There's a wonderful trilogy called The Guardians of Time that just blew me away. The first and second, anyway. I'm scared to read the third, as my favourite character might just snuff it T.T...

Those are all by Marianne Curley, but there's another of her's called Old Magic that is also very good. They sound a little... cliched, but the stories are good once you get into them.

At the moment I'm reading The Time Traveler's Wife, which is thus far proving to be WONDERFUL!

There's also generally Historical books, or books written in different periods to our own at least. Howl's Moving Castle and the Chrestomanci by Diana Wynne Jones series are good... I've got several about France and many more about Venice... Though the Brunetti novels by Dona Leon aren't all that Historical. Uhm, Nazi Germany and the like... Milkweed... Some of the classics like Jane Eyre and Pride and Prejudice too ^ ^. Those have some lovely insights into the past.

Film wise I haven't seen much that I can remember. There's the Blackadder special that showed at the Dome, where they putter about in time. BALDRICK'S UNDERWEAR KILLED THE DINOSAURS, I TELL YOU! Mmm... And Blackadder in general ^ ^.

S'bout all I can think of right now.

There are so many good time travel stories...

"Quantum Leap" was a good series. I liked "Sliders", though that wasn't really time travel. "Time After time" and "Somewhere in Time" were good movies. Actually, I feel I'm travelling in time whenever I watch an old movie. I saw an old Harold Lloyd silent film, f'rinstance, called "Speedy" that was like taking a wonderful trip through time to 1920'd New York. It was all so familiar, and yet so different!

Given that the only other time travel shows I still remember reasonably well are the Bill & Ted movies, I'd have to go with that.

I do remember watching a movie called "Time Bandits" when I was like 5 or something. And I also saw a few episodes of an obscure 80's show where this guy travelled through time using a pocket watch, trying to fix history. After looking a bit on the internet, it seems the show was called Voyagers.

Time Bandits! That movie is absolutely fantastic. Definitely my fav Time Travel movie. Funny and weird and dark and great! I also like Baron Von Munchausen (not sure about the spelling) though it's not really Time Travel, he just drifts between fantasy places.

Although it's not my fav (though I do like em) there are also the Back To The Future movies which I think were pretty well done.
