Sorry for the lame title. sweatdrop

So yeah, this is Pre-island.

Setting: A small family pharmacy in a northern American city during the winter. Around...now, actually. The Holiday season.

Alan Murrow

Alan Murrow checked his apperance on the way in. The large sunglasses, the casual clothes hidden by a faded winter jacket, the Yankees cap pressed down against his hair...good. No one would notice him.

Since The Right Perspective had really taken off, it had become harder and harder for its charismatic host to go out in public. Usually, he sent an assistant to get food, medicine, or to pick up clothing, but there wasn't a single person in the world he trusted with this errand.

Keeping his head down, he entered the small pharmacy and made a beeline to the pharmacist's desk.

James had to go pick up his perscription allergy meds today and decided he might as well get some shopping done too. He had picked up most of the food he needed and was going to get some wine to send to his parents for Christmas. He was looking through the wine racks as he heard someone running down the aisle. He turned around to see a man wearing a jacket and large sunglasses Weirdo James thought to himself. He finaly picked out a bottle of '87 Pino Gresio and put it in his kart. All he had left to do was get his perscription and he could go.

Michel shuffled into the little pharmacy and sneezed; then coughed. "Merde," he muttered under his breath, "I hate getting sick." THere weren't very many people in the store, which was good for him. He hated crowds when he was sick. As he moved to one of the shelves of medicine, someone knocked into him, it was guy with big sunglasses.

"Asprin...." Bing moaned. Another hard day in his cubicle and he was feeling like crap. It was amazing he could get out of his car without dying of dehydration, starvation, and/or the killer headache he was having right now. All nighters do that to people, and still being awake was not the way to go. He stumbled as he walked through the aisles of medication and got over to the painkillers section. There were a few other people there, he looked at them blankly for a few moments before looking through the shelves again. Bing wore a loose tie and a badly wrinkled dress shirt along with a pair of coffee stained khakis, he was a mess, out of asprin, and coffee.

There were a few other people in the small pharmacy, but not too many...perfect. Alan hastily headed down the middle aisle, trying not attract attention to himself.

He was midway down the aisle when he heard a word foreign to him. Merde...was that French? Alan grimaced behind his shades. The French...those traitors. After we saved their asses in World War 2?

It was coming from the eyepatched man just in front of him...Alan smirked. He temporarily forgot that he was trying to lay low and bumped into the lousy frog as he headed towards the back.

James walked down the aisle next to Alan. He was looking for his claritin before he got his perscription. He heard some guy speaking french but thought nothing of it realy. He picked up the box of medicine and continued down the aisle as he did every month.

"Excuse-Um...Sorry. I'm sorry sir." Michel managed to babble as he turned to face the stranger. He felt the pink rise to his cheeks as he heard his voice. He only had a small accent, but still... The man had on big sunglasses and a cap, but Michel felt he had seen the guy somewhere; on TV maybe? "You are in a hurry, yes? Do you need any help?" It was out of his mouth before he could stop himself. Why would he want to help this man he didnt even know? He nervously fiddled his hands behind his back.

Alan turned around as he continued walking. "Do I LOOK like I need help?," he said, a little loudly. Alan suppressed a laugh. Stupid frog...he even had an accent! If you live in America, he was fond of saying...

As he turned around, he almost ran right into the young man looking at the allergy medicines. "Watch it," he said.

Ryan walked into the store, just looking for a snack. As he walked past the aisles, he caghtsight of someone familiar out of the corner of is eye. He stopped to get a better look, and then realized he knew him.

The name wasn't coming back, but he remembered their last meeting hadn't gone to well. Not that Ryan had done anything personally against him, hell, the guy owed him, as he was the one who had pulled that other off of him. Still, he had stayed with his ex after their meeting. THe guy probably wouldn't be happy to see him. He kept on walking to the next aisle.

EDIT: Some other guys seemed to be having argument. Ryan didn't particularly feel like breaking up another fight, so he did his best to ignore them.

James grabbed Alan's shirt collar. "You have two options. Apologise to the man you just yelled at or get beaten to a pulp. You have no right to come in here and act like we are slime. You are not in my good graces right now and if you plan to walk any time before the fourth of july I suggest you get in them. Quickly."

Bing was watching this whole mess, he was all ears as the conversation unfolded. A fight was going to erupt, and he smirked tiredly. People were so entertaining...

"So I guess it's a fight then?" He said, going up to the nearest guy and walking next to him.

All Michel could do was stare as the man as he walked away. He felt anger rise in his chest. Did he think he was stupid or something? Just because he wasn't born in america didn't mean anything. Michel took a deep breath. It didn't help anybody if he got angry. He had to smile, however, when Monsieur glasses almost banged into another man walking down the isle. He decided to, very secretively, watch the man to see if it was in his disposition to be angry or if he was just another stupid, racist american. He was a little surprised when the other guy, the guy without the glasses, told M. Glasses to go apologize.

Alan looked angrily at the young man who had grabbed him by his collar. "EXCUSE ME, young man, but you had better watch your goddamned manners. You could upset some very powerful people." Alan raised his voice just loud enough to be overheard. "Don't you know who I am??"

Ryan tilted his head to the side, though not looking at the man who had spoken to him, he was too interested in the fight.

"Looks like it." He said to Bing. He'd been going towards the next aisle, but hearing that one guy threaten someone else made him turn back. The other guy seemed to be egging him on, which Ryan knew was not a good thing.

James looked Alan straight in the eye. "I'll answer your question if you answer mine. Do I give a damn? Now go apologise or be found in a dumpster in five pieces. So going to appologise?"
