all things my dragon says are in dragonicdraconic due to being a dragon. Do not be automatically able to understand the language, even though I'll be typing in english. Same goes for when my character speaks elven. If it's common elven you might be able to understand part if you have elven ancestory andor have studied the language alot. If he reverts to a different dialect of Elven, such as High Elven or Jehkai elven, you would need to almost be one to understand him. That isn't the rule for animals, as they speak elven to animals all the time. However, all those demonshalf demons with animal forms, this does not apply to you. You may have them but you are not truely an animal, you are a demon. You will not understand the language. Ok, I'm don't talking about it now. If you understand what either is saying when speaking such languages, please give an indepth discription of how you know. You cannot just say because a parent was elven or dragon or because you just do... I will not accept that and I will ignore anyone that says that. Another reason is Dragon's DO NOT MATE WITH OTHER SPECIES! THEY ONLY MATE WITH DRAGONS. So saying you're half dragon or part dragon is the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Also all those demonangelfoxnekoblahblahblah people... HOW CAN YOU BE SO MANY THINGS? DEMON AND ANGEL? BAH! THEY DO NOT MIX! MAKE IT RESONABLE! Thank you for your time... I'm done ranting now.
I posted that in a topic so I just copied it. I don't understand why people think they can just understand a language automatically without any need to study it... and why they say their part blahblahblah... you can read that if you want... ok... I'm going to wait for replies.

Little kiddies like to roleplay they have supreme power over the universe. They also like to pretend they have dragons and mermaids and half breed mixtures of their favourite creatures as pets that like them and listen to them.
End.

Back when I RP'd a lot some guy wanted to steer the RP into the direction he wanted without discussing it with the rest stare
And in another case there was a guy who constantly saved the day with his army of chocobo's (it was an FF RP) stare When you're trying to put your character in a dramatical death scene, he came up and saved you with a magical healing potion. While I did mention I wanted my character to die stare
But all those god-like characters are so annoying. sweatdrop They are like quarter this, half that, and a bit of that race too. The worst thing is, they aren't only in RPG's but also in fanfics and original fiction. I can live with half-breeds, but the hybrids should be kept natural -_-' and dragons mating with humans or humanoids? or demons? that's scary O___o;;;

I agree... My biggest reason for not rping much anymore is the God Moders. That and when people try to join without reading the rules and such. I know that in a .Hack rp that is a whole forum, some idiot didn't read the rules and tried making a character that was Goku from the Dragon BallDBZDBGT series. There is no Saijin race to choose on the rp, he didn't do his stats right, and I think he chose 3 different classes instead of just 1 or 2... He was stopped at character creation, thankfully. But what I really hate are people that join an rp... then try to take over the story and such. Make it all about their character. I mean I like people that try to play the hero sometimes, as long as they don't god mod, try to take over, ect. One should rp to help the story along, not make it all about them. As for all the parts... now if it's reasonable, like 3 different elven bloods, like High, Jehkai, and Dark or something, is fine... *gaian daughter is just that* but like things that just wouldn't go together at all... *just wants to go smack the person in rl* Like dragon&pheonix&demon&angel&neko&kitsune&elf... I actually saw someone put it that way one time...
I can say why it wouldn't work. First... DRAGONS ONLY MATE WITH DRAGONS. Second... PHEONIX'S ARE BORN FROM THE ASHES OF THEMSELVES... basically... "Thus the Pheonix turned to ash, yet from those ashes the Pheonix was born again." dono who made the quote. Now Demon and Angel... -_-;; just because it happened in Little Nicky... Come on... What's the chance a demon and an angel wouldn't be trying to kill eachother instead? Another thing... How'd the animals even get in there? God... And then to disgrace elven kind by saying part elf with that horrid idioticy... I CANNOT STAND IT!
sorry... another rant...

We once had a villian who decided to make up a storyline without saying it. While someone else had a storyline going (the person who did the villian was posting 2 lines once a month or so), and suddenly he popped up and made us go elsewhere in one post. There had been lots of fighting over it untill we kicked the villian out. (everyone went with the other person anyway XD)
Like a demon will disgrace himself by mating a fox! That's scary O___o;;

Actually there is more than one way to become a half something. Some dragons do have "human fetish" type thing. Also, assuming this is a fabtasy setting some gods, in order to let a part of the to survive take several forms and inpregnate diffirent secies. A god mating with a dragon would still create a half dragon. Also you have to consider forced breeding. Like humans do. Mules and ligers.

true, but a part dragon/elf/fairy/phoenix/demon/angel/neko/wolf/human is a bit of overreacting O_o;; I don't mind hybrids, as long as there is some story behind it and people do not over do it.
A half demon, half angel is possible when one walked over to the other side and got in love. But a half phoenix? how do you expect to mate with a bird existing out of fire.
A half god, half dragon okay. But do you see a dragon mating with a normal mortal human? the human will get squashed.
When it's a technoligcal advanced world, it's possible with science.

Half Dragons, Half Angles, Half Demons and many other mixed races are available in Dungeons and Dragons. However the level restictions on these mixed race is very high. They should be restricted to higher level games.
As for languages, Dialects of Elven are like dialects of English. There may be some words a person may not know but most of the understanding gets through. Another D&D reference, a character does not atomatically get a language unless it is a ratial language. Draconic, Abisal (Demon Language) and Celestial (Angle Language) must be studied unless playing a Half-whatever.

ok ... God Modders and impossible half breeds are rediculous... I will stick to my character... she is an Avariel... no half breed that is what she is and no splash of anything else... why is this so hard to accept for other people... when I tell them she is a winged elf they think I mean she is part angel or something... and that isn't it ... she is a WINGED ELF... an Avariel... she is different from most of her race but that is the way she was born... but to avariel partents... people need to accept things for the way they are and not try to change it to what they want it to be

I see that I have hit on a good subject. As you did say in DnD it is able to be half races, but only high lvls. Alot of these people are n00bs and God Modders. As for the language, this is why I request an explaination on how they can understand the language. Rouge Draca, I understand your situation. There are sometimes oddities born in magical worlds and such, so a Winged Elf is possible. I mean it could be any number of things to make her have wings, and it doesn't mean she has to be part Angel. My character can use etheral looking dragonic (draconic) ((whatever spelling you prefer)) wings to fly, but this is only for short amounts of time. Also due to an rp I once did I got a Dragon Soul, which anyone would know about if they play Legend of Dragon, which is a great RPG for Playstation. It allows him to become a Dragoon. Unfortunately, because while in this form his abilities and power increase dramaticly, some view it as god modding, while others think he is part dragon. He is only half High elf and half Jehkai elf. ((just to clearify stuff up now, Jehkai elves are sorta like Wood Elves, but smaller and more nimble. Also more in tune with nature than them, but this also works as a weakness by making them more vulnerable to fire. It also works against them by making them unable to properly use some of the heavier armors. I do hope that there is no clarification needed for High Elves.)) As I have also said, it is rare to have more than 2 parts of anything, yet my daughter is that rare case, having Dark Elf blood due to Zefie. Anyways, sorry again about my tendancy to rant on about this sort of stuff and repeat myself... one of my bigger faults.

There is a magic item that can make an elf into an Winged Elf.
As for languages. In D&D a player starts with languages equalling the number of his/her inteligence modifier (1-4), plus common and their racial language.
I'll post more later.

Winged Elves are also a part of the Forgotten Realms race selection. Not one of the common ones, though.
And to explain Human/Dragon hybrids, Dragons can polymorph into other species. Silver Dragons are the most well known to have human lovers.
Of course, this is all from a D&D standpoint.

I knew they could take human shape to disguise themselves... but not that they had human lovers. As for the launguages, it's the being able to Understand ALL languages that annoys me. I'm still annoyed however at the angel and demon and wolf and kitsune and neko and elf and blah blah blah people.

Angels and Demons don't need a humanoid form to have humanoid lover. They already have one. Like I said, half demon/angels/dragons are for higher ups only. If your running a game don't let these people play as these things.
As for Nekogin and Kitsune, they are things of Japanese/Anime legend. They are sort of half spirit creatures. They are playable by first level characters. At least I let them be. (depends on game master) They are very close to human. Nothing special about them except ears and tails, and perhaps wiskers. In Big Eyes Small Mouth, Anime rpg, there is a player class of Shape Changer that allows any race to change shape into another creature. (animals, giants, and so on) However the full transformation, into something that fights, doesn't happen until 3rd level.
As for languages, a person can't understand all languages. At most they can understand 6 at first level. There is a spell that allows a person to temporally understand all languages, and another that allows for someone to be able to speak them, but this only tempory. The understand language spell is low level, I believe 2nd, but the speak languages spell is higher level.
