1) When confronted about your religion, be honest. Tell whoever is confronting you exactly what you believe and why you believe it. Don't worry about what they might do because people are likely to make fun of or try to confuse you.
2) Wait for your friends to come to you before you talk to them. Don't "shove it down their throats" that is the fastest way to make them run away from religion, if they don't want to talk about it or look like they feel like they're uncomfortable then change the subject. Remember, good things happen over time, be patient with your friends and mainly be there to answer their questions about Christianity.
3) Try to break the habit. I know that it's hard, but it's better if you don't continue. And letting a word slip here or there isn't the best thing, but mistakes happen. Just keep trying to clean up your language, or end whatever bad habit you have, and after a while you should see a difference.
And remember, with all of these, ask God to help you through it. While it is possible to do all of these things without him, it's about a million times easier with him.

I have that problem too. I usually only pray when I really need guidance or if something is out of my control and I hardly ever pray for myself. I usually feel selfish if I pray for myself. It is easy to forget and can be akward when you're praying for someone who might be angry that you prayed for them, or when you're praying for someone you don't know. But prayer is a great way to connect with God.

Well I don't really have a problem with the first two. I go to a Christian college...so yeah. But the last one I still have a problem with it. I've been swearing for many years. And one you pick it up, it's hard to put it down.
Here's a few suggestions. Find better words to replace swear words. That's really what it is. Swear words are mostly used to enhance what you are saying. Or when you are upset. But try not to get upset...pray when you get upset. And go to the dictionary for better words.
Hey...i think I'm going to do that myself. smile

remix12106 thats so cool, have you ever libe been in a place with allot of people worshiping and just felt so overwhelmed? know what i mean? Yeah, one of my friends had be go to their youth group once and there were a lot of people that I didn't know and I of course stuck out like a sore thumb because I was dressed entirely in black. I didn't feel welcome and my friend wandered off with her friends so I felt pretty darn out of place. I almost had a panic attack that night because there were so many people that I didn't know around me. I haven't gone back to that church.

Not when there's a lot of people, but like in my youth group now where there's only a maximum of 11 people there ever I get that feeling. I'm just one of those people who don't like a ton of people around.

I would just come flat-out and say it: "I'm a Christian. You got a problem with that?"2. If I were in your shoes, I would just ask them about there beliefs, and if they were wishy-washy, tell them mine. If they said something like "I've already tried," er somethin like that, try to tell them in lamens terms, like God is just like them (which technically he is since HE made US in His image), but don't lie or anything, of course. 3. Cussing, as long as it's not using God's name, I don't think should be a problem. They're just words used to express extreme emotion when all other words are too weak. But, like I said, as long as you're not using God's name in vain, I believe it's okay.

Well with the talking to your friends about it just start to joke around with different subjects then when you get them in a good mood and then start to talk to them about the religon and work along thoughs lines, thats what works for me. ^_^
