Fun in the sun, it was what she wanted, she was still hoping he would come back, that he would stay. She had gone looking for places for him, for whoever might come back with him, but still he never came. Kaede hadn't made many friends who stayed in this area, not many at all. Ger was wherever he was, Ororo was somewhere, who knew when she would see either again.
She sighed and rolled over, on her back, looking up at the fluffy clouds as they passed by. She wasn't getting any bigger, no lions looked the way she did, she was beginning to doubt her reality she had formed for herself, that she was a lioness. But still, she had hope that she was a lioness, her heart ached for it to be the truth.
Kaede was glad though that the maned wolf, the friend named Amy might stay here, she remembered meeting her well, hoped she would be staying as well, would be nice, would be so nice to have a friend around who wouldn't come and go so fast without her being able to say good-bye.
She rolled in the grass again, peering up at the blue sky, hearing the lions roar in the distance, she wondered where Amy was now.

Ammy got up and stretched. The sun was bright in her eyes; she couldn't help but squint for a few minutes. She had been accepted, she was in. Finally, a home to call.... Home! And just in time too... Amaterasu thought to herself. She had just gotten pregnant, (despite the fact that nobody would know just by looking at her,) and getting a place to live came just in time. These lands would make a wonderful home for her and her pups. There were plenty of playmates here...
Playmates! Kaede! Amaterasu hadn't left her long, it was just the other day she promised she'd seek out the jackal. She turned her nose skyward to try to locate the jackal, but had no luck. She could try to harness her power! She closed her eyes to avoid the blur that would certainly come, and thought about the jackal. But no matter how hard she tried, she still couldn't get a vision to come at will. She shook her head, and decided that by wandering about the land keeping her senses open, she'd have a better chance of finding the jackal. She padded off, nose in the air.

She was rolling around in the grass now, batting at the long stalks of grass with her paws in almost the exact place she had met her new friend. Yes, perhaps she would be staying here, would be nice, she hoped Amy would, she hoped she would have a friend nearby she wouldn't have to worry about coming back someday when they promised.
Green orbs looked up to the sky, clear blue,s he wondered where Amy could be, she wished the best for her friend, hoped everything went well, hoped that she was allowed to stay here in these lands just like her and her family could. Would be nice.
Yes, would be nice.

Amaterasu found herself meandering to the borders, hoping to find the jackal's scent where she had met her days before. Soon enough she saw wiggling stalks of grass. Ammy smirked and tried to creep up on the jackal, ducking low to the ground.

Kaede rolled over again, landing on her stomach, her ears flopped forward for a minute, annoyed expression on her maw. She was so bored! Why could she not focus on anything to do? She just wanted to wait, wait for anything really. Whytry to accomplish something when there was no joy gotten out of it? Playing by yourself was pointless in teh jackal's mind. Though her play idea of her being a lioness was never fading, always lingering within her heart.
"Amy, where are you...where's anyone..." she spoke softly, she hated being alone like this.

Ammy approached closer, inch by seemingly behemoth inch... Finally she was within jumping distance of the young jackal. She lept, aiming for exactly a spot right next to her, and landed it perfectly. She saw the golden brown of Kaede's coat and starting laughing immediately when she landed, happy to have found her friend again. "Guess what Kaede!" Ammy asked delightedly, "I'm staying! I'm staying here!" She was certain she looked very much like a big puppy, but she didn't care.

She was zoning out now, just looking onward. Why did she feel like she was always waiting, waiting for something to happen? For someone to come back, for her to grow, she hadn't gotten any bigger like the other cubs around here. She was still too small. Kaede's family wasn't that big either, she wondered if perhaps there family was just a defect of large lion genes, perhaps her mother and father were just small lions, and thats why she was small.
Kaede didn't understand it very much though.
She didn't hear Amy come right away, but as soon as she landed Kaede squeaked and jumped up, whirled around ready to 'roar,' but seeing Amy made her smile. Amy's words made her jump up and down, "Really? You'll stay? That's great Amy I'm so glad!"

Amaterasu calmed down a little bit at seeing her friend. She hoped she didn't interupt anything, but was certain that Kaede would forgive her if she had. "I'm glad too," Ammy said, beaming. "You'll have to show me around the place though. I've been to Pride rock already, but I haven't been much of anywhere else," Ammy informed her. "But I have made a den in some rocks over there," Ammy said, pointing her nose in the direction of her home. She was glad to be home.

Kaede was trying to keep herself from bouncing up and down. So happy her friend was staying, so happy. Perhaps when Ger returned he might stay too! Oh yes that would be nice so very nice. "Of course Amy I will," Kaede said side stepping a bit, smiling, giggling. She would be able to sow Amy everything she had seen! Perhaps they might even come across one of her lion friends she made. Would be fun.
A den? To be out on her own, such a feet. Kaede wished to be like that too but she still loved her family. Amy seemed quite suited here, "Where would you like to go first?"

"I'm not exactly sure..." Ammy said. She didn't really know what layed in the entirety of the Pridelands, but she wanted to find out. The past few days had been a little rough on her; she was in an entirely new place. However, she managed to find herself that little rock outcrop, and has been finding lots of good food...
But she was certain there were many other interesting places in the Pridelands, and left it for Kaede to decide where to go.

Kaede sat and tilted her head and looked around. Hmmm, where could she take Amy that would be interesting and nice? The watering hole? Ooo yes that might be nice! "How about the watering hole? We might see some others there, plus, there's pretty fish near the edges sometimes. All different colors, its nice to look at, want to go there Amy?"

"That sounds wonderful!" Ammy said. She hadn't been to the watering hole yet. From what she knew, there was a rather large one in the Pridelands, but she'd never found it. It'd be a good place to take the pups when they're born, Ammy thought to herself. She had to be ready for when they came. She gave her head a small shake. Maybe I'll make some lion friends today too, She pondered. "Lead the way," Amaterasu said with a slight bow towards Kaede.

Kaede smiled and pounced forward and smiled some more, tail wagging behind her. Yay! Amy wanted to go there! "Alright, just follow me, its really nice," Kaede inwardly wondered if Ger might be there. Oh how nice it would be to show Ger her new friend Amy! If if he was tehre adn said he would stay? Even better. It would be the best day of Kaede's life to hear that.
Kaede started padding off at a steady pace but peered behind to to make sure Amy was following, she didn't want to leave her friend behind.

Ammy followed behind Kaede, tail swishing lightly as she went. "So how long have you been in the Pridelands, Kaede? All of your life?" Amaterasu asked. She thought Kaede probably had been here all of her life, but she was unsure. What a place this would have been as a cub. Such vast plains, so many things to investigate...
Yes, this would make a good home for the pups.

Kaede nodded as she continued padding along. At this rate they would be there in no time, "Yes, its nice here, I've met a lot of friends more on the borders then the inside though. I hope some of my friends come back to visit someday..." She turned her eyes to look at Amy with a happy smile, "I am glad you can stay. We can play everyday," she said with a nod, yes, her and Amy everyday. Would be nice to play with a friend who stays.
