AWH! Uniforms? Even if they aren't Japanese School Girl stereotype I LOVE uniforms. 3nodding I just think it's cute when a whole school dresses the same and ONE girl out of like 300 over-accesorizes and just stands out. >w<

Whee! Decora! heart Last year I dressed in a slightly gothic version of this and I didn't even know what it was. I've now lost all of my stuff, except for some pins. crying Anyway, I'm pretty sure this is decora. Sorry that I'm fat and kinda goth. It's just how I am, but I tried to do it justice.
This is the overall outfit. I blurred my face out, because I'm paranoid like that.

This gives a better idea of the upper part.
 Hair thingy.
Really sorry if this isn't decora, but I tried, oi?

I wasn't sure, because Lolita usually involves clothing influenced by extravagant pieces in history. Still, I wish I more stuff decora. It's so cute and different.

The uniforms we have to wear ARE the stereo-type japanese uniforms (sailor collar with navy trim, navy tie, navy pleated skirt, though we can wear whatever socks and shoes we want). I didn't even notice it untill I watched Card Captor Sakura a few years back.

izzi, that style rules!! I don't think it's really gothic lolita because it's more laid back and has a fair amount of color... jewlry-wise at least.
I love B&W stripes-- I just bought some earrings on sale at Hot Topic, and they had 3 big, plastic B&W striped stars on each earring.... or they were supposed to. One earring only had 2 stars, so I took one star off the earring that had 3 stars, and made a necklace to match!! YAY!! LOL!
PEACE! ~viv

izzi.spizzi Yay for stripey-ness! EDIT: I wore this to school actually and I got so many weird looks. Silly stereotypical community. :3 i'm so glad you wore it out! i don't think wearing decora in public is anything to be embarassed about.
however, you were talking about it being more gothic-lolita-esque?
well, it actually fits under a completely different category-- "oshare kei".
if you've ever heard of visual kei, oshare kei is like that, but it's like a j-rock version of decora. decora is typically colored stuff, rainbow outfits and BRIGHT BRIGHT BRIGHT! oshare kei, on the other hand, is more of a punk decora. so i think this outfit is more oshare since it's got a punk touch. gothic lolita stuff is more frilly and princess-y, and gothic by itself it typically considered "feminine" and very "elegant" and beautiful, while punk is more of the steep lines and metal and chains. [ i noticed the shorts had quite a bit of straps. ]
but i like it. 3nodding
