History: [TBD]

Shrine: Bet found an old abandoned room within the Temple, it had been used by humans many long years ago as a place to gamble and play games of chance, he took it as his shrine feeling the god that dwelled there. A flat stone column had fallen at one point and men had used its surface as a table for rolling their games. But when the Temple was abandoned the place and the games were left behind and that was how Bet found it and how it became his alter. He has since cleaned it up and stacked coins and stones as offerings.

George and Jaden - Tragedies strikes even those who believe~

History: [TBC] it didn't matter who their parents were, or the gods that they believed in, they still died just the same as any other would; the world was dangerous, and you have to protect the ones that are important to you with every breath, even your last

History: [TBC] It had been weeks ago that their parents were killed; a month and two days, if one was really keeping track, three dependent on the time of day you inquired, but it was safest to say, they had been alone together for too long for two so young. They had survived, Geo had seen to it, for that amount of time fairly well. When the Malu of the temple had shunned them they went deeper into the trees and found shelter there, and more. She found them, and they started over, still together, no longer alone.

Together, George and Jaden had left the area of the Temple, it had been Jade's idea, a half-hearted comment, but George pounced on it and decided that -this very evening- that they would.
~~~
Jaden blinked the tears from her eyes and huddled down, her tiny wings trembling. "It's not our fault..." She spoke softly and looked to George, who was also quivering but not with fear and sadness, instead rage. Though she was just as tiny as Jade was George stood in the doorway of the room they took shelter in, facing outwards, guarding in case anyone wanted to pick on them again. "It's not our fault! Of course it's not our fault! We lost our parents to that tiger! We didn't eat them ourselves! Or call the tiger up! Or anything!" When she had continued to yell and no one else came into view for some time, she went and settled herself next to Jade and licked at her wet cheeks.
"Perhaps... we should just leave..." Jade murmured softly, her eyes down and her head resting on her paws. George let out a small gasp, and Jade didn't look up, she sniffled again.
George heard the comment and the wheels in her head began spinning, "We will leave! We don't need this place, we don't need them! I can take care of us just fine!" She nudged Jade until the other girl looked up, disbelief in her purple eyes.
"But, the Temple..." Jaden lifted her head and shook it, they couldn't.
"Yes! Yes Jade, we go, tonight!" George lowered her voice slightly, no one besides Jade was in ear shot anyway, she knew that, but still the conspiracy required a lower tone. "Get some sleep I'll wake you later."
Jade managed a smile and lowered her head again, closing her eyes as George stood and wandered around a bit, muttering.
K: George was hunting near the den, just a few yards off, still within earshot of Jade, not that the other maluling made much noise as it was, but if she needed to, she could! Geo knew this. Her head was down and her rump a little high as she stalked the rodent, -closer closer-, she wanted to yell at it, but she had learned very swiftly, that that was the opisite way to go about luring a meal in. The rat changed it's mind though, -silly thing-, and went in the other direction, so Geo followed it, taking so much care to not-make-a-sound as she watched, eyes wide, its every movement.
At the den, Jaden was cleaning, clearing out old bedding and bringing in new grass for them to sleep on, she didn't know that their scent filling the air when she was stirring up the stuff, could lead anything or anyone their way, it made her feel safer, their smell, and she hummed very softly as she worked.
F: Jack walked along a fallen log slowly, eyes glancing here and there. Her shaggy fur was matted with fur and twigs, but she didn't care. It only helped her blend into the landscape better... She had tracked a large jungle cat threw the forest for a day or so now. It had wandered dangerously close to her territory, and there was no way she was going to risk having one of her pack injured. So she bravely went after it to make sure it was safely out of her land...
She paused to sniff at the ground, ears fanning outwards. But there was a new smell now. Malu? But the temple was still quite far from here. It was rare to see her kind even this far into the forest... Frowning softly, she followed the scene, which dangerously mingled with the predator she was after...
K: George nearly trembled with excitement, the plump rat stepped nearer and nearer, she could hardly stand the waiting, but she held on until it was just a few feet from her and pounced! Catching it in her teeth and swiftly bitting down, before it could bite her, it squealed for a moment before falling silent. "Jeeeeeeeeed!" George crowed, now that she finally could make a sound she did, calling with the rat in her teeth and running back. She was getting better at hunting and Jade would be happy, though she didn't like rats much, -don't wrinkle your nose at food- Geo thought.
Jaden perked up at the ringing sound of George's voice, she quickly dove into the space under the tree with a mouthful of grass and spat it out, so she could clamber back outside and see the catch. Around the den area, the grass had been cleared, little by little, either trampled or pulled up for their beds, Jade had thought, this was a good idea, making the clearing open, so she could see further. They hid when anything large came near, but their den was getting cramped, they'd have to move on, maybe in another week or too. The usually alert maluling didn't notice the other smells in the air as Geo burst through the bushes in triumpaht return. "Oh, Geo, wonderful~" her soft voice didn't carry far.
F: Jack continued to track both scents, then paused again to stare at the ground. There she saw a tiny set of paw prints... That belonged to a very small malu. She glanced around quickly, but could find no other prints. A child, all alone out here? Her lip curled downward and she started running at full speed then, ears laying flat on her head.
The large wild cat didn't waste time. It'd been stalking George in the trees while she in turn hunted, but had stopped when she had turned to run back to their clearing. Realizing that there was more than one baby the cat turned to lounge threw the trees, following George's cries... It lounged to the ground then, tail swishing back and forth as it approached their den.
K: Jade took a few light step forward her tiny wings flapping and licked George's nose, then took the rat from her, "Tha-" she began, but froze at a sound, a movement in the trees, her eyes went wide with fear, and she couldn't breathe to make any sound for a moment, then she screamed and the rat fell to the ground limp.
Having happily filled their bellies for the evening, George's mind went to her internal ranting, but only for a second, she'd only moved a few steps went she noticed that Jade didn't finish her word and in the time it took to turn and look, she was screaming. "Don't just stand Jade, den, run, get inside!" Her voice though young was loud and harsh. Jaden unfroze and turned to dash inside, George was not two steps behind, but she hesitated before diving towards the hole, with both of them inside they would be cornered. George stood firm and a growl tore from her throat, harsh and loud, if childish, she spread her paws wide and glared into the brush beyond, while Jade's voice high with fear begged her to come inside too!
F: The cat stalked closer, it's shoulder blades bulging from it's back, it's head held low to the ground. Bright gold eyes with slitted pupils reguarded the much smaller prey, almost amused... It moved closer, and within a moment moved to pounce at George, it's claws extended towards her...
Jack had not stopped her gallop. The screams just ahead of her did nothing to reassure her, save for the fact that the children were still alive. But for how long... How far away was she? Hopefully not more than a few seconds...
K: Fearlessness or insanity kept George rooted to that spot infront of the den, inside Jade could see the large cat coming onto them and was yelling, straining her usually soft voice, keening, wordless sounds of terror, her eyes were bulging so that the whites could be seen. George was taking a different tactic, her screams were oaths and the harshest things she could think of, she snapped at the face of the cat while it was still out of reach, seeming to do nothing to intimadate it. Jade tried to hook her paws around Geo's hind legs, she cried out over and over, "Inside, inside." But George's feet danced away from her grip. George had lunged forward, biting the air snapping over and over again, and constantly moving, from one side to the other. At the instant of the pounce she dove away, but turned on the cat again, still barking and snapping at it recklessly.
F: The cat seemed suprised when the tiny malu fought back. Or tried to, at least. It quickly sprung to it's feet and circled her, eyes unblinkingly taking in every move. For several moments it just watched her bark, ears tilting back in annoyance. But had she bought them enough time... Annoyed and impatient, it sprang again, this time with more deadly aim. But something hammered into it's side before it's claws could reach flesh, causing it to tumble to the side with a loud howl.
Jack stood tall in front of George, head held as high as possible, her forehead tilted forward to point her horns at it. Blood trickled down her forehead from one of them... Having headbutted the animal, one of the horns had pierced deep into it's side. Her nostrils flared, toned muscles tensing as she dared the beast to stand and try again. The cat whined in pain and slowly stood, spitting a hiss at the older female. Teeth bared, it didn't seem it would give up... And again pounced, this time at Jack. She didn't even move. She let the cat tackle her, only angleing her head down and then up, so that it's stomach was impaled by the horns at the same moment it's claws dug into her back.
K: Jade's terrified screams continued, the appearence of the large adult, the tackling and taking on of the cat seemed sureal to her, a different adult a different cat, but the same thing was going to happen again, could she watch another death like this?, and Geo! Why was she still out in the danger? "George, George, George!" She called, and then was silent when the cat tackled the adult again, she couldn't tear her eyes away, but she couldn't see Geo either...
George had no plan, she was only going to leap aside again and continue to try and drive the cat off. When it moved to pounce again she jumped but the cat landed no where near her, she stood again on shaking legs and turned to look, finally silenced of her shouts and barking, Geo panted and watched, "It's coming again!" She yelled when the cat got up and pounced at the adult, but she didn't know what to do! Reckless again she ran to where they fell, aiming to kick with her back legs, draw the cat off the other if it contined to attack, she found her voice, "NO! No, no, no, no! Not again, no cat again!" and her tirade continued.
F: Jack growled and jerked her head as they both tumbled to the ground. Blood spilled from her back, but the cat's stomach was much softer than her hardened muscles. It split easily when they tumbled down, and Jack made sure that they stayed inside the cat until they had done as much damage as possible. Even as George kicked at the beast, it laid still, whining and gagging in pain. Jack laid under the dying cat for awhile then shifted, slowly nuding her way out from under the larger animal. She limped a bit, but the wounds on her back were not life threatening. Her head was coated with a thick layer of blood, which dribbled down her front legs and onto the ground. For now she let it be, knowing it'd be simple enough to wash off.
She certainly looked frightening though. And though she was a female, her larger size and build suggested otherwise. And with the blood... quite a warrior she appeared to be. Her now calm eyes reguarded the tiny female in front of her. "Are you hurt?"
K: "You're hurt!" George had probably done no damage to the cat, and hopefully none to Jack, but she was okay herself. Other than scraped from her diving about, she was dirty from the weeks they had lived alone, and scraped up from before then, she stood shocked and still, staring up with awe and probably disbelief on her little features. She looked from the dying cat to the adult and back a few times before laughing suddenly, "Ah! Hahaha! See cat! Dead, die, death no more! JADE!" She turned and looked back to the den where the other was still hiding. "Jade, the cat! Dead, dead, its dead, come and look! Dead!" She trotted over and poked her head inside to find Jaden.
Jaden had watched until the adult had pulled out from under the cat and stood again, then she retreated as far in as she could to the back, the smell and the gore, that seemed to be the greatest joy to Geo was bringing back the memories to Jade and she messed the just cleaned den and whimpered pathicly, not having any words to say, she shuddered and shook her head.
"Come out Jade, dead, see it, it's dead, I mean it, you killed it." But Jaden wasn't having it and George turned back to their rescuer. "You killed it..." She looked all around swiftly and then back to the adult, "I don't have anything, and I won't curse you, you're not curseable, not killable! Who are you?" She spoke loudly and rapidly the whole time and then she was still, she sat and panted, watching the cat, but addressing Jack.
